I've been hearing that Tesla's have some subpar build quality. True or false?

I have a 2021 Model Y. Build quality is not perfect... but my white pearl metallic paint is nice... and the panel gaps aren't too atrocious. I love it as a daily driver... I appreciate my manual SS Sedan for different reasons and I would say build quality on the Holden is not that much better than the Tesla. CHEERS

A 3902lbs/762HP Lambo vs a 4766lbs/1020HP Tesla. No surprises there. But at the end of the day, I would rather have the sweet sounding Aventador than the generic looking Tesla.

@Kingsley Anderson that percent is because most people start a business and put no effort into it, no time into, not much money into it or it generally being a pretty uncompetitive ideas like selling iphone cases. If you put the time, money, commitment and with the right mentor/ broker, then you're not playing odds, you're just taking risk, it's not like the lottery where its a predictable percentage of odds .. its based on 100 factors.

No, it's quicker, not faster, there is a difference. The Aventador has a higher top speed, so it is the faster vehicle. The SVJ will probably hold its value over the years a lot more than the Plaid would, so it would be a better investment for the rich people to purchase, and comparing comfort levels with a track specific car to a 4 door spacious family sedan.. did you know that water is wet and the sky is blue?

0-60 and drag races don't give you the full story. Those numbers are really overrated when it comes to driving experience. Nothing against the plaid or EVs but this sudden U-turn and "futurism" has to stop. EVs still a have a long way to go.

Do you know what the amazing thing is. The Tesla never stop accelerating... The cap as of right now is 163mph. The Tesla just keeps of accelerating and never stops until 161 or something like that. Soon the Tesla cap will be brought up at around 200 and if that thing can give the same result at 200 this will be truly something unseen before

people always hating. in reality the tesla is a remarkable car(s) and company despite the criticisms. the amount of hate i see is hilarious. but at the end of the day it's an american made car, producing 1000+ horsepower that you can take grocery shopping, run a 9.2s 1/4 mile, and make it home not broken down or towed. not only that but the amount of technology packed and cool little gimmick and upgrades over the air. nothing even competes with this experience. oh and it costs much less than these exotic cars AND it's more reliable because it doesn't have an engine.

I am a f1 fan and rally race fan growing up. Don't understand why ppl so obsessed with cars going fast in a straight line. No hatred just here to check out the exhaust note of the v12. That Lamborghini will cost millions in a few years.
I would take the Lambo any day, but damn the Plaid is ridiculous. As a car enthusiast, it pains me to see this rough equivalent of someone who just bought their first pair of running shoes say "I think I'll run the Boston Marathon tomorrow" and actually winning with world record time. EVs are definitely the future though.
One of the thrills of owning a supercar is knowing you own the road. The thought that some old pipe smoking retired dude with a 4 door sedan can kick your ass on the highway ramp takes the fun out of it. And you're right: EVs are the future.
They are the future for some, for others it's bus or cycle

@@elite76 actually the Tesla handles very well. Noise is subjective, what do you mean by experience? The Tesla has a top speed of 200 mph, currently software limited tonabout 160 mph, a family sedan. Ease of refueling, yeah sure, but the Telsa has longer range since the lambo consumes a lot of fuel. It may be faster to fuel your car, but it's become more expensive + you can charge an EV in many different places (home, work, malls, parking lots, destination chargers, superchargers) vs just a petroleum station. The brakes don't fade after 2 laps, they upgraded them for the Plaid. So actually, what is the special thing? You only get noise, and have to fuel the car, which is getting more expensive. The Plaid does the quarter mile much faster than the Lambo, with a higher trap speed. The Lambo does 217+ mph, the Tesla 200mph. The lambo is a hypercar, the Tesla is a family sedan.

Lambo needs to make a killer Aventador replacement. Its heavy, doesn't have dual clutch, and spins its wheels too much
The Aventador replacement will be a hybrid looks very much like the hybrid Sian. It will be comparable and competition for the ferrari SF90, but will also get smoked by the Tesla Plaid, Plaid Plus and eventual Quad-motor.

Oh there’s another Aventador that has a chance to stomp this Tesla model S plaid or keep up with it at close distances and that is the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae. And others will follow, Huracan STO, Veneno, Huracan Performante, etc. Maybe a Bugatti Chron Super Sport 300+ can do it too.

Man The Plaid is Superb in every way and case for many years to come !! No hassle no maintains no repairs no oil change or filters no break down, just pure Joy in every way !!! Also looking very slick elegant I LOVE THE BACK of this car plaid you can sleep easy 2ppl it has a huge space in the back basketball-field :) for the groceries and all other staff. This plaid is so superb and very practical for real man !! Also Elon always push some more power to the plaid it will be faster and even stronger man !!
Until the entire car has to be taken in for a new battery cell and taken completely apart. All my oil changes, filters and race gas on my Lambo will still be cheaper than a new battery and labor on a Plaid LOL.

The Tesla S is a 5 seat 4 door luxury sedan. How does a hyper sports car lose in a drag race to the same car my aunt drives to work? 99.9% of car owners never track their cars. I'm part of the .1% that does. I autocross one, hit the 1/4-mile in one and have one for cruise/show. I'm totally impressed by any Dual Motor Tesla and its acceleration. If I had the money I would buy a Model Y Performance, and lay waste to pretty much everything in impromptu 3-5 seconds races of acceleration, and enjoy the heck out of doing it in an SUV/crossover vehicle!

Waiting for Tesla to unlock the full speed in the coming year, it's currently locked at 163mph iirc, but the actual top speed is 200mph. I think they're waiting on some new tire package they plan to introduce before they do it.

@@AllanSustainabilityFan nonense, the tesla plaid has never been able to even reach 200mph while been awd, the Bentley flying spur goes over 211mph and its as heavy as that tesla. I don't see any cannibalising of the roadster.
@@AllanSustainabilityFan the motor alone isn't enough to reach 200mph, it needs better/calibrated battery..... the roadster will be a different/special vehicle like other manufacturers does. A mercedes amg gt for example has a very long hood and totally different specs, a porsche targa has a solid movable roof......

I think I speak for car enthusiasts everywhere when we say we are tired of hearing how "incredible" of a performance vehicle the Plaid is when it gets beat by 10+ seconds by a Mercedes AMG GT63s on the Nurburgring. And yes, that is the AMG model pre F1 battery installation. GTFO out here with all this Tesla praise - its not impressive - and it looks like a TV remote. I'll take true car manufactures engineering any day of the week over a trash can that goes whoosh as a party trick and gets boring after two pulls. No drama, no handling, poor luxury, immense price, = lame as hell.
Wait til you realize the Tesla does all of this while being 2.2 tonnes. Also being the 2nd fastest accelerating car ever, with number 1 being over 17 times the price. It truly is incredible
