    • Mickel Ntek My sim with the maxed cooking and gourmet skills makes excellent quality popcorn, but everyone else makes normal quality-the rest of the household and the parade of friends that pop in at all hours. It can definitely become a focus like the tea and coffee makers very quickly! I’m going to swap it out for the ice cream maker though due to this video. I hadn’t added it because I remembered how it was the only thing my sims wanted to eat in Sims 3 lol.

  • They NEED to take people’s advice from that survey they took and improve upon the packs they already have. It’s not only off putting to have as many packs as they do, but they aren’t worth anything when we can sit here and say “Oh that pack comes with (insert pointless object with reused animations) and the CAS/build items are so so” many of the packs there are should have either been combined, or made into a bigger/better pack. But as long as people just keep shoving their money at EA every chance they get, nothing will change.

    • I don't mind new packs and the stuff packs aren't that expensive.... but I agree that fixing and upgrading them (at no charge of course) (instead of robbing them like the 20th anniversary thing) periodically is not only needed BUT would be a relatively cheap way for the company to show a little player appreciation and build goodwill...which they need BADLY. Whatever exec approved that 20th Anniversary hot tub disaster should be animated and used for stoning in a medieval pack. For those of us that have played since Sims 1 and own every Sims 4 pack that little gift was like giving your spouse something for your 20th anniversary that they fished out the dumpster on the way home. I know they are in it for the profit but as their flagship game that has sustained their business for 20 years they could have done a little better. Will I quit playing Sims over it? Of course not... but... well there's no but... It just pisses me off and I am less likely to try other games from the developer.

I know that's just another deco item (unless it unlocks clothes), but at best the ghost hunting career would probably be a clone of police anyway. I don't really agree that knitting adds more for elderly Sims just because half the real knitters I know aren't elderly. It wouldn't be any more elderly-centric than woodcarving. But they might have more granny fashion.

Or playing with the canning station or as bakers. I agree very much in regard to the ghost hunting being a clone to the police career. The Sims 4 has a bad track record of cloning careers anyway 🙄

I remember back when the Sims 3 seasons launched people were asking for lawnmowers and snow shipping. To this day I believe having huge amounts of snow and a snowplow on the road would have made for great gameplay. A lot of people loved the fireman career too. I would like more mundane realistic jobs for the Sims 4. Open for business was a bestselling Sims 2 Expansion, because many simmers adore recreations of real life as gameplay in the game. After that is achieved we tend to be interested in supernatural elements too. Grim would make for an interesting "gamepack" imo 😉

  • Carl, do you think you could do a video on how to most efficiently max all toddler skills? I feel like there are interactions that raise the bar incredibly fast, like Babble with a stuffed animal for Communication, while other are very slow and a waste of time, like Wander for Movement. Also some of those very powerful interactions get unlocked as the skill goes up, I only just found out that Ask Why is one of the fastest way to raise Thinking but I wasn't aware because you only unlock it at a certain level! If you could break down the percentages and efficiency of all the interactions it would be really helpful to serial 100 Baby Challenge players like me :)

    • I’d agree with the commenter above, except to say that having adults read toddler books to them is MUCH quicker for imagination than playing with toys. Plus you can read to multiple tods/children at once - area of effect! Doing this in combination with always reading them to sleep gets them to imagination level 5 pretty quickly.

      @HerHollyness@HerHollyness4 жыл бұрын
    • I found that watching other sims gets thinking skill up pretty quickly until you unlock the “ask why” interaction at level 4. You can’t queue it up when they’re actively doing it, so pause the game first and then queue it up several times. Also, if another sim in the house is playing an instrument toddlers can “listen” to the sim play, which raises imagination skill. It works the same way as watching a sim, pause the game and then queue it up. I think the skill gain is about the same as watching sims. Reading toddler books on their own raises it pretty quickly too but having an older sim read to them raises it faster; I always have parents read toddlers to sleep. For movement skill, having older sims “play” with them raises it pretty quickly and can sometimes give them an energized moodlet. You have to have a teen or older ask a toddler to play until they reach level two movement skill; at level two they can ask other sims to play. At level 4 movement skill they unlock the ability to “run around” and I think this raises the skill much faster than wandering. With seasons, toddlers can also play in piles of snow during winter which raises movement skill. The commenters above were right about talking to giant stuffed animals. Hope this was helpful. 😁

  • I was on the fence with Moschino and very rarely see my Sim friends using it, so seeing someone actually talk about it made me go "whoa, I'm missing out on some good photography stuff" because whenever I do a style influencer, I give them Photography since they need it for leveling. For stuff packs, I mostly look to see what it can offer ultimately for both CAS and gameplay. To date: Laundry still holds up in terms of the latter, though the CAS items leave much to be desired, at least for me.

Poseidon could live in the ocean and be the leader of the mermaids, giving them more skill to learn and rewards for doing so. Medusa would be fun to turn any annoying sims into permanent stone statues etc... I'm just kind of sick of the same types of packs we always get in the sims games and think we should help them come up with some new ideas. I also think a back to the future/ into the past game would be a lot of fun, where you could travel and live in a futuristic world or also have the option to live in the past, somewhere around the 1600s-1800s. Not sure if sims 3 had that feature as I skipped that one, but makes sense and I'd love if that was a feature in this or the next game so I could have sims who were art collectors to make a buck and celebrate their good taste and snobbiness

    @sistercharlatan@sistercharlatan4 жыл бұрын

  • From a builder point of view, the stuff pack I would recommend the most right now is definitely Tiny Living. Trying to come up with ways to fit everything in a tiny building is fun and I love the furniture pieces in this pack. For a modern style, Tiny Living is closely followed by Moschino. I love the Moschino stuff pack. For more vintage or classic looks, I'd definitely recommend Romantic Garden and Vintage Glamour. Butler's are a little bugged but they can't be missing in an old elegant mansion. From a gameplay point of view my top recomendations would be Moschino and Vintage Glamour. I can't understand all the fascination about doing laundry, I often use Laundry day build items in my builds but never the gameplay items.
