cant wait
I've missed Demos so much, you never think you'd miss them until they are gone.
Iv been saying that i miss demos as well, you could see how bad the game was before you wasted your money.
so glad lots of games are bringing demo’s back now
I think they should bring back demos.and shouldn't be locked behind ps plus premium. I think most games should have the option to play a demo of a game for 2 hours. Developers would sell more games.
There have been more demos recently
PSA go to your local library. I havent bought a game in years because thankfully my library gets a ton of video games. You can also request new games and 9/10 times they deliver 💪
Thanks for giving props to demos. I will always download and play a demo if a game is even slightly interested. A demo shows confidence.
👍
Agreed. Companies willing to show their hand is something that needs to be more common
@@gameranxTVbro u forgot dbz to add pls thank me later or give this poor man some work for ur channel🥲🤣🤣
A demo shows spare development resources able to be put towards a demo. A game with crunch or rushing to release does not have those resources.

I honestly applaud Microsoft for releasing games for the PS5 and focusing on content instead of console wars. It’s a good move for us as consumers to be able to enjoy more games that we like where we like.
Agreed. While I'm not a massive fighting game fan, Tekken has been my one exception (at least for Tekken's story). My siblings tell me that Tekken 8 is cross-platform when playing with others online and that's a great step in the right direction. I went "Team PlayStation" due to being a fan of Square Enix's modern JRPG's and those being almost exclusively all that I play, but my brothers went with XBox, so it's meant any games that maybe would be fun for us to play together, I've not bought because I'd only want to play with them, not random strangers online. More games that remove these barriers will be awesome.
Maybe just maybe we can hold out hope for helldivers 2 on xbox ❤️
I agree and disagree. As I become older and pay more attention to global politics, I can say that the biggest gain from companies like these competing drives up creativity and advances tech. Fair capitalism drives improvement through competitive goals, key word being "fair". With video games, if everyone is in the same bag, then they're making the same product with generic differences.
Yea it's also nice microsoft has released on pc for their exclusives as well. My biggest gripe about Sony is they only release certain games on pc and the length of time is variable for the wait.
Doubt Sony would do the same
No rest for the wicked looks amazing. It's quite a departure from Ori, which i loved. The art design seems like fromsoftware inspired. I also liked Stellar Blade and Sandland. I'm definitely playing these!
Worth noting that No Rest for the Wicked will ONLY be available April 18th on Steam in early access.
so no ps5?@@XiLock_Alotx

Sadge life
@@PeanutMike happily married life but different priorities :)
@@nothingman7163You can be married and still play games!
@@nothingman7163 im happily married too, but a life that is only responsabilities without time for a hobby is a mediocre one :).
depends what your into. then your not missing much. Gaming has gone on a big decline lately.
To see Manor Lords being mentioned, the Basketman thanks you 🙏
did you guys forget that Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is dropping this month? that’s easily my number one
Got to make time for a porting of a years old pirate game.
@@dansmith16 Yea, I thought that was odd… Eiyuden didn’t even get a bonus mention. I’ve never played Suikoden (am wanting to when the HD collection finally drops) but everything I’ve seen about Eiyuden makes me want to play it, more than anything else on this list!
Huh
@@veespa_ Regarding Suikoden, you should! One of the best series I ever played!
This is exactly why i was watching this video. Just to hear its not mentioned is really disheartning. You can't do blogs on all kinds of games and not mention eiyuden chronicles.
Demos are great! Anyone remember demo discs you’d get in gaming magazines? I loved Dreamcast demo discs.
I do, PlayStation Magazine demo discs were my gateway to games that I wouldn't have played otherwise. Frequency and The Mark of Kri were both titles that I would've skipped had I not played a demo first to see what they were about.
@@mathewm6294 this was the best! the end of an era where games didn’t need day one updates either 😂 Thanks for sharing!
Ps2 demo discs I remember
I agree with his statement about demos growing up that was the best way to figure out if you’d buy a game they need to bring that back
Eiyuden, spiritual predecessor of Suikoden series, is release on april. I don't know why Gameranx didn't talk about this.
Because it's weeaboo trash
@@Sh1ft3r1 no it wasn't clown
Only the physical Switch version is delayed.
It wasn’t. But yeah gameranx has not acknowledged this yet brings up a rerelease of a mediocre game (Sea of Thieves) or some random indie souls like/Metroidvania slop
@@Ghosthitman387 cause that kenza game has a black protagonist so they have to mention it with how things are nowadays
No rest for the wicked and stellar blade are the top 2 for me, I can't wait!
Stellar Blade is gorgeous, the jiggle physics are uhh yea 😅 getting Nier Automata & Devil may cry vibes! And definitely playing sandland in memory of Akira Toriyama, Rip 🕊
Devil may cry 5
Dante
I am quite happy the era of Demos seems to be returning. It's how I used to get excited about games/find games I liked before buying full purchase.
If I had a PS5, Stellar Blade would be a must buy for me. Combat looks smooth, cool world, and yes, she is really pretty.
virgins spotted
Big thumbs up to all the great demos. They were a big part of the golden era of gaming 20 years ago and glad to see them return.
I played the Zau demo after watching this video and it is a lot of fun. I like how the combat works with Sun and Moon powers and each one has it's place in combat
Europa just got delayed to summer unfortunately, just finished the demo and it was breathtaking
I played the Sand Land demo, it wasn't the greatest demo I've ever played, but it did show me enough of what the game is about for me to be interested in picking it up, I really feel like Toriyama's writing will have a big impact here and this will be a great story along with a fun gameplay loop.
Top Spin was such a fun game back in the day, I actually got nostalgic about wanting to play it again, just need a tiger woods golf and I'd be set feeling younger as a gamer.
That crab game actually looks so fun !
I played the demo last fall it was the best thing I played all year
I've already bought 7 new games this year and haven't finished any of them... But sure a few more couldn't hurt.
my favorite game is buying games (but sometimes never get around to playing them)
Which ones?
Yeah, I've bought Palworld, Horizon Forbidden West PC, Dragon's Dogma 2 they aren't even installed yet. I can't explain why it happens.
Only 7?
@@waynewm9112i’ll never get this psychology lol, if i buy a game im playing it as soon as it downloads how do you guys just waste money like that
I'm gonna grt sandland judt as a way to appreciate Akira-San's impact on my life through his works of art! Ty for the video Falcon!
Really looking forward to Sand Land. Europa looks pretty chill as well.
Eiyuden Chronicles for me
Ditto. Came here to say that.
how could they miss it?
Same for me, had it per-ordered for a while
@@StarGazerBleu i wish i backed it. But im glad we're getting a physical copy
You say "Beelzebub" like Wolverine 🤣🤣🤣
Lol the lotr reference for Stellar blade😂😂. Good one Falcon
I can't wait for Stellar Blade, very Nier-like and Eve is gorgeous to boot hehe (i'm worried about the Souls comparisons in the previews, because i've famously bounced off many a Souls game in the past) i'm looking forward to it though and trying the demo in a couple of days :)
It's not a soulslike. It doesn't play as a soulslike and doesn't even look like one. I don't why would someone compare it to souls.

They need to sell copies, and not everyone has $2000 to spend on at least a decent PC.
@trevolchang4721 You don't have to spend a lot of money at once to build a strong RiG. For example, when i was building my own RiG. I was buying one thing at a time every time i had my work salary come in, till i got my RiG to the stage i wanted it. It took me some time and patience, but i don't mind. :)

Another Crab’s Treasure demo was reviewed by the guy that plays all the “souls-like” games, and said it was pretty solid. I watched the demo and it honestly did look fun
No mention of Eiyuden Chronicle?
I was thinking that too, kind of a shame not many places are talking about it
I too was surprised
Only definite day one
Seriously, Suikoden's pedigree and the creator just passed. It's a huge release imo
@@trevorditmar exactly. Bitter sweet and definitely worthy of a mention
Helldivers 2 still feels new to me!
We really need more underwater/winter/snow games. There used to be loads, and now we have the good graphical tech we rarely see any
Im playing Stellar Blade. Excited for the demo. Tales of Zau and the crab game could be something to grab later.
Stellar Blade is one I can't wait to get my hands on. I'm not a big fan of the soulsborne combat but I love everything anime and sci fi about it's world. Can't wait to play the demo this weekend.
Eiyuden Chronicle will be awesome. Finally. Waited 2 years for it at least. Longer for great rpgs like that.
Eiyuden Chronicle should have been included in the video
I can't believe Stellar Blade is almost here. It's been my most anticipated game the last few years and i can't wait for the demo 🔥🔥
The fundraising campaign for the Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was conducted through Kickstarter. The campaign exceeded all of the original stretch goals, making it the third highest funded video game in Kickstarter history, only behind Shenmue III and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. And is the ultimate project from Yoshitaka Murayama, who passed away this year on february. It's the spiritual successor of Suikoden the fans were waiting for all these years. It should was at least mentioned, for all that.
You should do a video that explains what different game categories is actually mean. Like the concept of roguelike doesn't really make any sense to me anymore, I don't really know what the difference is between metroidvania and like a platformer with guns? When I think souls like I think dark souls but like I don't understand what that means in the concept of a different game. Like what should I expect if he say a game is souls like? A video like that with examples might be good🙂
Was just thinking that myself. It gets very confusing.
Metroidvenia is a game in which you gain new abilities during your gameplay which allows (or even requires) you to backtrack within the level and go to new areas previously unavailable. This is not exclusive to platformers, but usually is. This was introduced by the games.. Metroid and Castlevania Example: you unlock double jump after a certain while and then actually can reach a ledge you could no reach before. Soulslike refers to the (combat) mechanics introduced by Dark Souls. So combat which follows a certain rhythm, usually with dodges/evasive moves. You often get punished for 'being greedy', like trying to sneak in 2 hits while the rhythm only allows you to hit the enemy once. There are usually also limited save locations
They should not be making videos about terms you can easily research on google.
@@hugoclarke3284 You can also research on Google what games come out when. So no more videos about that either, huh? 😉
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes? Game made by the original maker's of Suikoden? April 23?
Shift Up does not play around. Everyone thought Nikke was just going to be a pure fanservice game with a side of mini game, but if you actually play it the characters, writing, storytelling, and world building are just top notch. I'm glad they are going mainstream with Stellar Blade. Can't wait to play it
Thanks once again for a great list. And can I say I really appreciate the extra effort with the timestamps so I can skip any of the 'PS5 exclusive' entries. :p
2nd month of spring looking real dry
Been playing dragons Dogma 2 for the past week. I don’t have time for April.
Hell yeah, Manor Lords is finally coming out! I played the demo for it like 2 years ago during a NextFest and loved it, even without any combat mechanics at the time. So excited to finally play the full release!
I really appreciate this channel. You do such great work. I don't know if it's just a couple of you or a whole team but please extend my gratitude. Life can get quite heavy at times and it's such a blessing to have places like this, with people like you, that uplift so many of us with positive, intelligent, and thoughtful offerings and commentary. I'm gonna put this channel on my gratitude list for the day. Thank you for all your hard work.
No Eiyuden Chronicle in this list, not even for the bonus ones. I'm sad.
Manor lords is really hype. You really shouldn't get your info off of the website since the dev said that its outdated. Most up to date info comes from his twitter and discord
If they wanted people to know up to date info they wouldn't hide it like that then, it would be front and center
@@cenciende9401 it's a single dev who can't update everything while trying to not delay the game again
I been waiting since Monday for yall to drop this
Been watching Manor Lords since it was first announced couple of years ago. I really really hope it lives up to my expectations. Looks great
Guess April isn’t too hot this year
We got nothing but broken games so far
2024 has been great so far! We've been graced with quite a few amazing games that weren't even priced high.
Rebirth has entered the chat
Helldivers
Enshrouded has entered the chat
Dragons dogma was brutal
Children of the Sun really surprised me when i saw the Steam demo (i guess in next fest). Pretty cool. A bit of Hotshot taken up a notch or 3, without the rewind
I only buy one brand new game a year and so far I’m happy it was Dragons Dogma 2. Stellar Blade is the only game that actually has my attention in April.
Cannot wait for Steller Blade swimsuit DLC 🤤 😅
I’m really digging the ASSets they’re using for Stellar Blade.
Children of the Sun was the most interesting demo I have played in a while. Planet Crafter is going to 1.0 on April 10th, and adds biomes and multiplayer.
Just checked out the Europa demo because of this video, and man to say im super interested is an understatement. It took my breath away
im worried about Stellar Blade - Its gonna be hard playing it with one hand.
I know the struggle 😩
"Skill issues!" 😂
Shut up
Gitgud? Just don't injure yourself. 🤣
Time to bring out the toes.
Hello, Falcon!!
Hey
Iron pineapple covered the crab game. Its 100% unequivocally a souls like. It looked like a lot of fun and he loved it.
Awesome video! Love that you're sharing the studio and their previous work as well!

Nope 😂
I thought it was the latest Prince of Persia
So glad to have Falcon The Hero narration. Top notch orator, great stuff as always.
Children of the Sun is pretty legit! The puzzle to shoot everyone in one bullet is really fun! I played the demo and uploaded it to my channel so I'm looking forward to playing it in the future
Ngl the ZAU game looks a ton like the new prince of Persia game but maybe that’s just me 🤷🏼♂️

No love for Harold Halibut? Stop motion animation narrative game with a super quirky attitude, looks awesome and super unique!
1 demo download and wishlisted < 5 min - children of the sun, 2 others wishlisted - manor lords and another crabs treasure. Thanks Falcon!
Stellar Blade is beautiful, the background music, beautiful visuals and some wild costumes 😅lol so excited 😁
Tales of Kanzera: ZAU is amazing, reminds me of the Prince of Persia metriodvania and it plays super smooth. I love the African theme and lore. Definitely will play this!
I can’t wait to play stellar blade. I hope it is as fun as it looks. Also another crab treasure looks amazing. I love that art style and I wonder how difficult the game will actually be.
I've not been so hyped for a game in years since I played the manor lords demo last year. April 26th can come fast enough
Wish dragons dogma 2 would have received a demo(specifically for PC). Would have saved me the hassle of refunding. Absolute garbage at launch.
I think they didn't release a demo so they could hide the performance issues.
I REALLY WANNA PLAY DRAGONS DOGMA!!! But the reviews are telling me not to however the game does have a good review from gameranx. What do I do???
Wait. It runs like garbage and crashes every hour or two. Good game, not quite finished
@@crash_jj i guess I should wait till they fix the game
Fantastic game, horribly optimized on PC. I'm getting constant crashes and horrible fps drops and lag.
I personally haven't crashed and have only had 1 fight lag a little bit in 12 hours. Performance isn't great but the game itself is pretty good so far to me
Smart move. Im really enjoying the game but the optimization really hurts.
Stellar Blade gameplay looks really good. The graphics, beyond the babe, are pretty sick, the sound is great, and the combat looks big and splashy! I can't wait for the PC release.
Another month, another epic lineup of games! Can't wait to dive into some new adventures and discover what April has in store for us. Thanks, Gameranx, for always keeping us updated on the latest and greatest gaming experiences
So fricken hyped for Stellar Blade!
How did Eiyuden Chronicles not make this list?
Zau - looks amazing, the graphics and the fighting, player movement is just awesome
Eiyuden Chronicle deserves to be on this list, at the least an honour mention , especially for what it's trying to do.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes day one on gamepass
90% of the games u mentioned are indie games. Not a big corpo trashy souless game in sight. Great to see
Glad that April - June looks pretty light, backlog time
That "Sand Land" game's Art Design is very cool --- I bet it would make for a cool Mega Man game if done in that style...
The Manor Lord demo that was available a while ago was pretty damn good. The dev really cares about the project.
7:15 last good game about grief I played was RiMe, that game is seriously something else.
BMX streets April 5th is all I'm waiting for. 7 years in the making.
No rest for the wicked looks really cool so far!
Children of the Sun reminds me a lot of Killer7. Similar subject matter, stylized art direction, even the main character's run animation
Eiyuden Chronicles hundred heroes!!! Can’t wait for that one 🤩
👍
7:41 this game reminds me of a game called dragons crown it has the same graphics with the level layout design and fighting it might have been made by the same company (maybe in the same universe as dragons crown)
Ghost of tshushima on pc on May very much excited to play❤
