I still cant consistently do this😭
Poofa
I can’t do
Same 🤣
@@Pr9mer this video really helped me. I was struggling with my footwork and attacks. In short always mistimed. Just try to watch it over and over again, it takes time and practice soon you can do it too. Pay attention to the last 2 steps. Trust yourself. 😊
It's crazy how much better you can hit the ball given the right technique even though you are jumping the same height...
For sure! That’s why technique is so critical
Agreed. I know shorter players that dont jump as high as taller player, yet still hit better simply because of technique.
@@ElevateYourselfOfficial❤
Need to try it out. I've always spiked without any run up but makes sense you can get higher with forward momentum so the spike will be harder

Vert Shock is a total game changer! I went from barely touching the rim to throwing down dunks in just a few weeks. You can find it here while it's still available: kzhead.info/sun/i7eweMeQp6l6Y6c/bejne.html To anyone who wants to increase his vertical jump as well: - Focus on exercises that target the muscles used in jumping, such as squats, lunges, calf raises, and deadlifts. Incorporate both bodyweight exercises and weighted exercises to build strength. - Plyometric exercises help improve the power and explosiveness of your muscles. Include exercises like jump squats, box jumps, depth jumps, and bounding in your workout routine. - Work on your jumping technique to optimize your performance. Practice jumping with proper form, including using your arms to generate momentum and landing softly to reduce impact. See you guys when you reached your vertical jump goals!
This video is a lot better than the old one. Very nice, you went over everything so well. The emphasis on the block step this time was great, when I first started I had no block step and ran into issues.
Thanks! Been thinking about updating all the old tutorials with some new information I’ve learned and better video quality
@@ElevateYourselfOfficial The video looks great!
@@ElevateYourselfOfficial that would be great! Thanks for the amazing videos.
As a grade 8 hitter/spiker, I couldn't really perfect some things that were needed. But after watching this video, there were some small tips that actually improved my form and jump. Thank you for being my inspiration for volleyball.😁
Grade 9 spiker here. I feel you bro
College volleyball player here, grind222
Volleyball tryouts starting in a couple weeks. Super glad you made another one of these stepping tutorials, so I can hit better.
Good luck!
@Elevate Yourself you should review the way of wade 10 shoe
My tryouts Tuesday 🤞🏾
Good luck!! Our tryouts was tiring and it hurt my legs but it was fun where all girls so good luck out there!
mine starts next week actually
People are really into volleyball after haikiyu 😊
Yeah bro you are right 😊
i know volleyball from haikyu😂😂

Thank you for making this new video Coach Donny. I’m really trying to improve as a JV opposite hitter and I’ve learnt new things I didn’t know before.
Ive been leaning forward the whole time, and absorbing with my knees. Im gonna work on this thank you
Appreciate the word cues and graphs overlapping onto the video demonstrating clearly the angles needed for an efficient approach. I plan to utilize your video for my club team and high school team. Sums up nicely. Coach Ron
This is huge for me, going into a tourney this weekend where I may have to play OH (im 5’8” and normally a lib), and while I have a decent jump without thinking about my technique, this makes it so much easier to understand and easily apply. Thanks coach!
i am in the EXACT same boat as you, Best of luck
@@itsgreen17 same to you!!!
Great video, i struggle a lot with landing to close to the net and i think i'ts because i didn't have my back upright in the second step . I will try this out in my next training. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.
Perfect for animation reference! Thank you so much for the content!
This is so so helpful! I wish i had such am informative coach when i started a few months ago. He expects me to be able to do it quickly because i showed i am a quick learner but i just couldnt get the hit right so thank you
Thank you for this! One other detail maybe that would be a part 2 to this video would be where you are transitioning from. As a right handed OH, you would be arcing into the court vs straight up the line. Left handed RS/Oppo would be arcing into the court. Right handed RS/Oppo would be running up the line. I really needed this video today so thank you for making it!
Thank you for the tutorials, I've always had problems with my for work, had couple of good runs before the spike, felt good, but then all the other games it felt weird because my foot work was bad. But thank you for the help!
Keep making these tutorials. They are super helpful!
I just started volleyball as a P.E. sport at my college and I really enjoy it. I will need to practice, practice and more practice.😊😊😊
This helped a lot with my off-ice axel practice. Without the 3rd step, it's the exact same entry. Thank you
Really enjoyed this. Production quality is also great! As a middle attacker, do you position a little behind the 3yard line as well? Or more forward. It seems i never have enough time or space to attack properly. Would love more middle attacking tips! Thank you!
Thanks this really helped me since I had volleyball tryouts today. I am a Great striker just still have to learn a few tricks
So glad to come over this video. Its so informative video this. I've never ever mastered the technique. I'm going to go practice what uve just taught
Great video as always coach Donny. As a fairly short outside hitter, I really need my vertical jump to be the highest it can be, I really appreciate these videos, keep up the great work!
Glad you found the video helpful!
مرحبا كم طولك
i can say this is a good work keep it up this helped me improve a lot in my volleyball games
This is perfect. I've been wanting to learn how to jump higher for like 3 days and the best coach just taught me how. TYSM!
Glad I could help!
Thank you Coach Donny! I became obsessed with Volleyball later in life (early 30's) and your tutorials have helped me so much in visualizing the game and my technique. This has helped me make practice sessions and games so much more valuable and rewarding! I've had people come up to me and tell me how much I've progressed over the last year and I've been invited to start playing with more competitive groups thanks to you! Life = Elevated! :)
Awesome!! Never too late to start. Glad I could help with your journey
Same here! :) love the help these video's offer
Great video Coach. Thanks for talking about landing mechanics as well! Only after taking a video of myself spiking did I realize that I was landing in a way that put a lot of stress and soreness on my knees. I'll keep squat-landing in mind next time I practice!
Prolong those knees!
Thank you very much for the subtitles in English, I was able to follow along and learn a lot in my language, which is Portuguese.
Great technique indeed.. Thanks a lot for detailed explanation of each step and foot angles are new insights.. It is giving me better/best approach for spike
I've always been taught to start with your left foot slightly forward and then to use a small left step on 3 step approach. This should allow a smaller first step which allows a bigger timing window especially when in transition, where you will rely on a 3 step more.
10:15 that makes so much more sence! I always have a problem jumping into the net, Im glad to know why and how to fix it, Thank you!
Waw you made a improved video I love it. Time to learn and finally get to grabbing 9’8 feet at 5’6
Jesus, this is golden, literally the only channel that explains details
Thank you for this coach!

Hey Coach my problem is that when I hit the ball the ball always fly's in a straight line out the Court I don't know what to do its demotivating me pretty much. Also when I do the three step approach I'm either to late or to early it would be very helpful if you could make another video for the perfect timing and when to approach right in time. I thank you very much indeed and send you the greatest greeting from Germany.🙌🙏
Great step ❤❤i see from 🇳🇵 nepal your video
