20 Times Yuji Nishida Shocked the World !!! Yuji Nishida (西田 有志, Nishida Yūji, born 30 January 2000) is a Japanese male volleyball player. Currently, he plays for JTEKT Stings in V.League Division 1.
Nishida made his debut with JTEKT Stings at V.League on 6 January 2018 in a match against Osaka Blazers Sakai. His impressive debut at the young age of 17 soon earned him a position in JTEKT's Starting 6,[3] as well as Japan men's national volleyball team. Nishida also led the team finishing 7th place after 29 years, in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Nishida is one of the youngest players in the 2018 roster of the Japan men's national volleyball team and FIVB cup Final.[4] He made his first international performance with the Japanese national team in 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League. In June 2018, he played a pivotal role in securing Japan's first win in 11 years against Italy where he collected 24 points from 21 spikes and 3 aces.[5] In September 2018, in a match against Argentina in 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, Nishida became the youngest player ever to score 30 points in a match.[6] In June 2019, Nishida broke serving records in the VNL history after hitting 7 aces in a single game during a match against Canada.[7]
Nishida transferred to play for Volley Callipo in the Italian Volleyball League for the 2021-22 season.[8][9][10] He received MVP of the match awards thrice in spite of an injury and subsequent 2-month recovery. Nishida would become the highest scorer of his team, with a personal one-match record of 29 points, and held the record for the most aces in one match during the league's first round of the 2021/22 season with 8 aces.
On April 4, 2022, Japan Volleyball Association (JVA) announced the 2022 Japanese roster for competing in Nations League, Asian Games and World Championship. Nishida had the name among 35-player roster after didn't join the team in 2021 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship tournament last year, due to his preparation for Italian league and the injury. His national team jersey number changed from No.11 to No.1.[41]
On June, 1, JTEKT Stings announced that Nishida would joint the club again for Season 2022-23[42][43]
At the Nations League, Nishida scored the highest of the Japanese team and the third of the league's first round with 201 points, including 162 attacks, 10 blocks and 29 aces. He delivered 28 points for winning Italy with the full-set match on June 24, 2022.[44][45] At the end of the preliminary round, Japan advanced to the quarterfinals after placed 5th. Then, Japanese team was scheduled to face with France which they lost with 3-0 set, making Japanese team ended at 5th place in the final standing.

What can you say. He's just amazing. The jumps, his serves, his blocks and those kill them all spikes. He's at the high of his game. It reminds me of the great Mireya Luis from the Morenas Del Caribe Cuban Volleyball team from the late 80's and 90's. Before her I've never seen somebody spike a ball between the net and the 10 foot line. The way she jumped was and probably still is unmatched today by any women who plays the sport.

4:52 the sound of this, the force, it is astonishing, amazing, what a great performance.
😍💪
It’s a plus he’s a lefty too. With most blockers used to seeing righties a lefty messes with them.
Imagine digging that serve, just to need to receive another one before your team even has a chance to recover lol
And I believe it grazed the net. They would not have been able to pick the ball up if it hadn't touch the net.
The vertical jump, timing, accuracy and power.. amazing Nishida...
Woww Japanese Monster! I don't remember to see someone jumping before 3'line like him and being so vertical. And japanese team plays togheter so tuned! Defense and atack >>>> ⚡⚡
He jumps as high as mountain and hits like a monster truck. He's a beast.

Sei q vc é brasileira
It's all about his angle of attack he is never out of position and being left handed gives him a strange amount of torque on his power stroke.he still is not getting the respect he deserves around the volleyball world nor is japan.i played with some japanese in Okinawa an they were some of the best athletes in the country.
Crazy power!
Its a gunshot!
It's crazy how he hits it straight down with sooo much force!
When he spikes it
The amazing thing is when you compare his height to taller opponents like the Russians or Eurasians, and he actually jumps Higher than them. Scarily amazing.
Nishida is definitely my biggest inspiration! His jumps are so high and I plan on getting a jump as high as that as I am practicing to become a better opposite hitter.
yo wtf is wrong with his teammates from the italian league!? these guys have intentionnally kept him out of the team embraces even tho he was the one making the plays...
They obviously want him to go to another team, or country even. I detect racism here. It's sad.

Without a doubt Nishida has the best technique in all the fundamentals in volleyball today. Seeing him in action gives me satisfaction.
In ALL the fundamentals? You mean he's a better setter than Christenson or De Cecco? 🤣
The best spiking form of all time, I envision spiking it like him every time. The perfect body torque and hitting position and timing allows him to explode the ball straight into the ground.
Nishida is amazing, the jumps, the serves, the power behind it all. Damn.... I get goosebumps just seeing hold the ball.

0:48 that guys midair transition from spike to set is insane
5:37 just focused on the bottom left corner and realised what he did for a spike. He prepares a run-up for each spike to ensure every single spike is powerful and strong enough. And he did it for at least 5 times in this score point. Can’t imagine how he lasts for the whole match. That’s incredible! What a tough athlete! Respect!!!
5:59 it's so funny how nishida runs up and then goes back for like 5 times
that's the struggle, to get that one dunk...
Yes! That makes him even more amazing!!!
Imagine the stamina of that man
Wow these Amazing spikes always leaves me with goosebumps

@@powervolleyballofficial i joined vollyball club 😄
I had to watch almost all of these at 1/4 speed to see exactly where the ball went so i could appreciate how awesome it was. Then i watched normal speed again. Glorious
Shorter players have to jump earlier than taller players because they are in the air longer. Their decision making has to be quicker, and they can’t wait as long to commit. Volleyball will always favor taller people, but that just makes it more special when a shorter star player emerges.
Nishida is in a different level.i think he is the best now👌👏👏👏👏👏
😍💪💪🏐
Woah! Those high jumps and the hit. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
💪💪💪
That 3rd line jump and spike is extraordinary
8:00 onwards, when Nishida plays for a non-Japanese team and scores, he seems to get left out of the huddle.. wonder why is that?
Noticed that too.
I noticed immediately too. My first thought was 'go find another team mate, get a contract release, these jerks don't deserve you' . This is the first time I've seen him. He's like the Michael Jordan of volleyball - the vertical jump, hang time and power he has, is amazing.
And it's not only one time , it made me annoyed to his teammates 🙄
why? so obvious racism
This man is really a beast in court

yes that's why i really really like him playing, specially when he do serve, and even the beast spike ( my own term hahaha), i like also the team captain, ishikawa and ran takahashi. and the rest of the team.

Not just one player, but three at international level now, including 石川祐希、高桥蓝. What is remarkable is all the three are still very young. The Japanese volleyball team is at its all time best, very likely to create history in the next few years' international contests.

He’s amazing. The power he puts in his spikes, i’d be terrified to receive his spikes if i was even able to.
His jumps are just fire. I mean see his jumps, he jumps so high despite his height. Bravo bravo.....

what are you talking about, he is 6 ft 2, other players are just taller than him
@@Serialkiller1100 yh but apparently the average volleyball player's height is 6ft5. Still below the average the competition. He is just incredible with his spikes so demolition to the opponents
wow....never knew volleyball would be so fun to watch
Nishida, a complete package ⚡⚡
I would love to see him live. He’s one of the shortest on the court but he gets so high
It's even more fun when he gets set back row. Like he has to worry less about controlling his power and just lets it all go into the hit. Even then his control is great
In this heroization of one player, it's really easy to see how everyone on his team is really underappreciated, because they provide ALL the support, every perfect set up. I doubt he'd be anywhere as impressive without the unbelievably synergy everyone else around him has, who cater to his specialized set of abilities.
