I think it was smart to not have the time on the screen, that kind of nerves that most speed runners have on good pace didn't seem to be a problem! It was especially cool that they realized it had to be sub 10 because it was day too.

7:35 correction: both leezaard and I had independently made methods to find the 4,4 coordinates of the stronghold by memorizing every set of coordinates. I still use this method and it saves 1-2s over sprinkz strats in some villages and 5-10s in villages where sprinkz strats are slower (savannah and tundra).

This was an amazing lucky run. The luck was not really emphasised by the creator of this content. Not only did he spawn in the perfect place but he spawned near a ruined portal in which he stuck it super lucky. He then, as observed by the creator, found a stronghold right under village. The runner then found a bastion and was increadibly lucky to get 8 rods from only 3 blazes, amazing. So that is, by my count, 5 to 6 extremely lucky events in one run. The runner also had the skill to take advantage of this luck. No easy thing on a hand held device. Great run, great video.

@@kpapi4355 I think everyone who knows even a bit about these things would be suspicious of this possibility in such a lucky run. That's why it surprised me that the creator of this content didn't draw more attention to all the lucky events. Of course, with the millions of games played there are going to be extraudinary events. The player does seem genuinely surpriised at his own success, not realizing that he had done an amazing run until he sees that it is still daylight of the same day. That kind of thing is hard, though not impossible, to fake. I guess, as with Dream's "lucky" run, it would take the scrutiny of the community to judge using statistical analysis to be sure. Good that the possiblity of cheating here is raised for the speed run community and to support the player as he is not a recognised speed runner. Thanks K Papi.

*stronghold gen refers to MC version 1.13-1.17. Since it is possible to spawn on top of a stronghold in some older versions and in 1.18+

it's not possible, we've already searched through every seed and the closest stronghold with a 12 eye on 1.16 is 200,000 blocks away.
Some ruined portal items are always the same on bedrock, there is a seed where it gives you a god apple every time

I played since the game first came out and yet I didn’t know crouching existed to help your falls. I started sprinting through the end and speed building without crouching without falling as my friends yelled at me in fear. You get used to what you have lol
I once had a seed that spawned you on a ruined portal, next to a shipwreck, next to a village with enough obi to complete the portal and with a nether spawn 200 blocks from a fortress.

You can make underwater portals in Bedrock, just not in the newest versions. It's also much harder since you have to unwaterlog the door to make it.
Yes you can still do it consistently in like 10-15 seconds its just that getting lava+ a shipwreck with a chest and good loot is at least 15 times rarer than in java

As a Java player who has played pocket edition minimal times, I'm impressed. :)
i've once spawned in a village in a mountain, and as it turns out, digging down, the Stronghold was right there. Cut in half by a mineshaft mind you. Shame i didn't save the coords, but i saved screenshots.
Don't the chunk borders start at 0,0 and increase from there at 16 block intervals which would make finding the borders pretty easy with a little math?

I’ve never played bedrock in my life, but at 8:30 why can’t they just use the coordinates already on screen? Those should be aligned with chunk borders right? So you could just get the remainder of dividing by 16 to get the chunk coordinate. Am I missing something?

In my Xbox one I had the stronghold spawn just below the village I spawned in. I found if by accident because of my unique mining strat
