The fact that something like this is even coming out just shows that SOMETHING occured. It's hard to believe all of the claims made against them are all lies. Something happened. There's what GBC said, what the SEAL community says, and the truth.

Plus didn't 3/8 have their own supressors? Who witnessed you loaning out those MP5s? Finally why don't you, Jay and Eric sit down and discuss this face to face? Or the Marine who wrote that letter? • Brah, teams regularly failed to coordinate with battle space owners in Mosul 2007-2009, and it caused all kinds of shit for us as the battle space owners. This line that not coordinating with other units was death shit is disingenuous. Rangers, MIT, and PIT teams as well as yes SEALs were all guilty of it, as were conventional ground forces. At least that’s the Iraq I remember.

  • Clouding the issue in the second half of this video when talking about how all ops had to be approved. Having approval for an op doesn’t signify what actually takes place on the op. It doesn’t implicitly explain away who is left dead on the floor of a target site, or why, when everyone withdraws. As a Marine sniper I will testify that there are so, so many times when NO ONE can see what a sniper can see through his optic, meaning that the person in the window 600m away can’t be seen by anyone but me. So, if I were to pull the trigger and call a hit, no one knows the status of the endexed target but me. It’s very easy to do things no one will know about in so many situations, even when you have other troops supporting your mission. He keeps talking about people “in the know”. Yes, Jocko. A lot of us are in “the know” and not in the way you describe. We actually do know and we know how easy it was to do things that simply stayed in-house. You know it and so do we. For everything that someone happened to see indicators of things you guys are accused of, there is the iceberg of what isn’t seen. Facts, and true for any unit. The things you do for free for people? You do it for free for marketing your brand. Naval Special Bookfare.

  • The fact is a lot people are fucking pissed off about the truth coming out regarding Roberts Ridge, Operation Redwings and many other SEAL related cover ups. A small entity of SEAL leadership tried to completely distort and manipulate the truth on what happened in all these instances and it has deeply damaged the reputation of NSW. Now do I think Jocko is relevant to those events? No, and nor is he obligated to speak on them. Jocko can only speak to where he was in the specific time frame of the GWOT and the people he commanded in Iraq. A lot of people are trying to put all the NSW BS that has transpired over 20 years and putting it at the feet of Jocko because of his success as a public figure and his platform. The only thing for me that I’m really not sure about is Chris Kyle. That dude flat out “bragged” about punching Jessie Ventura in the face and sniping looters from a sports stadium during the Katrina disaster. Among other things, that Antihero podcast and Green Beret Chronicles was not the 1st time Kyle has been accused of lying, exaggerating, beating his wife and killing unarmed civilians. IMO, Jocko absolutely is obligated to talk about him and the allegations. Jocko was not only in charge of Chris Kyle in TF Bruiser, but a lot of Jockos original fame came from that past relationship and the success of American Sniper. In that separate case, I would like to get some context from Jocko.

Those on the different side of politics no way would not bite on that story for over 20 years because they goodness in their heart and didnt want to tarnish this country or its troops reputation? At most, they’d be able to inform the public that allegations were made. Jocko is big enough and has earned enough respect with the public as a well known patriot for anyone to go along with this bs. And people in the comments who are trying to make him respond is so disgusting, it’s crazy to me. If something like this had the slightest possibility of being true, it’d be an absolute firestorm against him and more people saying the same thing, with actual hardcore evidence and investigations, but you heard Jocko. Those words have meaning and would also tell us if any Lieutenant on the ground with 3/8 would be able to redirect you. If you were in support, you would probably be in support of the battalion and the battalion would direct you and you would probably have communications with an adjacent infantry platoon, but more than likely that platoon wasn’t directing you.

  • Here's how the grift works: 1.) Find and target high profile individuals. 2.) Make a KZhead video with wild accusations about that individual. Bonus points if you use clickbaity words in the title like "THE TRUTH", "the REAL story" or "EXPOSED". 3.) Deploy a few minions or use a burner account to go to other channels and direct people to your video. 4.) On your video, people will watch out of curiosity, click "like" or "dislike" and comment, which drives up engagement. 5.) Sit back and watch the money roll in from the clicks and ad revenue. 6.) Repeat steps 1-5 with a different target. I'm quite familiar with this process because I've been on the receiving end of it. If you see one of these videos pop up, don't click, don't watch and don't engage. These people are trying to prey off of the success of others and are running a deeply cynical scam. Jocko's superior's didn't think highly of his ability to lead men in combat because they never gave him a combat command after he returned from Ramadi and he wasn't promoted. So here's this guy claiming to be a "leadership expert" who couldn't reach 0-5 in a special operations unit. That's called extreme incompetence, not extreme ownership .

It dosnt make sense to me why someone would bring something like this down on themselves for a lie. Eric has no KZhead channel or any other way to make money off of talking about things he did in the military. There were other Marine Grunt Bns there overlapping this period for sure as Ramadi was a long fight, but this is 3/8 specific. • @@Lifechanging99999 Relax kid. I’m well aware that 3/8 pumped out a lot over the course of 20 years. I’m not saying that the MEU deployments don’t count or anything like that. I’m also aware that over the course of a MEU deployment, elements did go ashore and conduct limited scope operations in support of a named operation, and I’m not talking about those either. For the purpose of this conversation, we are talking specifically about combat operations where Marines from 3/8 were (or weren’t) killed in action. So, I see how you could become confused when I said “During the GWOT” and take that to mean something else. The overall thread here is discussing how many Marines 3/8 lost during their 2006 deployment and I know for a fact, that 36 figure is incorrect. Which is the thrust of what I’m wanting to see corrected. We need to stop grifters from passing blatant falsehoods that every time a Grunt Bn went Downrange we lost over a platoon of dudes KIA as a regular occurrence. I’m only aware of maybe one time a Bn took 30+ KIA and it wasn’t a Lejeune Bn. Just sayin’

I was hyped and excited for my first tour but I will never forget after we landed there was a ramp ceremony immediately after. I could see the toll it had on those soldiers faces. In that moment I knew this was for real. I quickly realized this was not a game. ISAF/RC South had very specific ROEs. They were the same in 06’ & 08’ and didn’t change until Summer of 09’ (McChrystal) but I want to say that the Frogmen/EOD dudes had slightly different ROEs but it was not that vast. One thing I have come to think about GWOT is I’m glad for everyone that made it back home and as for the bad guys > Fk’em Same. I am about to hit my 20 and I’m happy to move on. It’s time to hang out with the wife and play sports with our boys. 🤙🏽
