The legend of Reva: How a youngling Jedi joined the Inquisition and killed countless Jedi, all to get revenge on a man for killing Jedi.
Sounds like a pretty good character to me xD
Yep it didn’t make any sense
Accurate.
So incredibly dumb
yeah she has no redemption ark.....Trilla from Jedi Fallen order was written much better.
"It's literally the only way Sith get promoted" lol that's so damn true.
I'm not sure if it's still canon, but back in the EU/Legends days, it was *literally* literally the only way they get promoted. The fate of every successful Sith Master is to be eventually killed - and thus succeeded by - their Apprentice. In this way, they believed, each generation would be stronger than the last.
Inquisitors are not Sith though.
@@Havanu81 They're basically Sith. The Third Sister is especially Sithing it up.
@@jasonblalock4429 Why do you think the Sith lost the wars against the Jedi and Republic?
@@GeneralKenobi75 Probably because thinning out your own ranks is far from sound strategy. At least if the succeeding warrior isn't double the strength.
So Reva's motivation is: she blames a guy for not stopping the massacre of her Jedi friends by his apprentice cause he was too busy riding a lizard and chasing a four-armed robot driving a unicycle, so she joins a group of Jedi killers where she spends years killing Jedi, torturing children and civilians so she can kill that guy for killing Jedi and that way get revenge on the guy that trained the guy that killed the Jedi. When that doesn't work she goes off to murder a child on a random planet. She changes her mind so all the years of war crimes are instantly forgiven. I bet that woman whose hand she just chopped off to prove a point would just love that. And, she killed Wade, ffs. I'm told grown human beings wrote this stuff.
Tbf, Darth Vader is basically forgiven for blowing up a planet, killing younglings, etc. because he threw the Emperor down a chasm. So Sith being easily forgiven if they switch sides is par for the course.
@@jamesscott2043 Well, if he lived ge'd probably go to jail or get the death sentence.
@@jamesscott2043 technically darth Vader didn't approve of the death star and hated it and he also didn't authorize the destruction of alderaan, scarif and jedha. That was only tarkin and krennic.
And Anakin Skywalker? You forget the billions of dead he is responsible for? Literally the only person in the universe who mourned his death was Luke.
Reva: where were you when the young kings were getting slaughtered? Obi: idk I was slaying Grevious and when I returned and saw what Anakin had done, I hunted him down, cut off three of his limbs and left him for dead. So sorry about that. 🙄
The line “looks bad for a movie but good for a TV show” is exactly how I feel about all the Disney+ shows so far lol
To me, Greig Fraser did a really good job with The Mandalorian's cinematography, but the other series' haven't held up.
Personally I didn't think this was good even for a TV show.
It looks balls for a TV show too. Dreadful show.
Except Loki
I wouldn't know. I've felt Disney was toxic since before Disney+, and I will never give Disney my money. I stopped giving those reprobates my money after Avengers Endgame.
"Disney turned the franchise into fifa with lightsabers." This hit home hard🤣
yeah I had to put that on pause for a bit to let that one settle before the next joke.
@@notusingmyname4791 What happened to Fifa? Same thing?
I don't get it. I know of the Fifa series but...???
@LunarSault23 Come on, don't make me explain it
@@LunarSault23 My take is that they are referring to EA's model of releasing a new FIFA game every year, tweaking the position of a button in the settings and calling it a new product. Kind of what Disney is doing with ... everything.
Surprised there was no commentary about how both Riva and the other inquisitor dude straight took light sabers through the chest and left for dead but miraculously walked it off like no big deal. 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah not like anyone survived being cut in half for years with no care or anything
Maul got bisected and still lived through pure anger. A “desire for revenge does wonder for the will to live” to survive a stab seems mild in comparison.
And Vader survived being burnt alive through pure vengeance for obi-wan
Qui-Gon over here like, tf man.
"No one's ever really gone"
"With more sass than Carrie Fisher if she were actually born into Royalty" That line is pure genius.
I really wanted someone to discipline that little girl.
Also somewhat ironic - since she was the daughter of Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, she essentially WAS royalty (at least, Hollywood roualty).
My favorite part of the show was when Obi Wan looked into the camera and said “It’s Kenobin Time!”
lol
And then he kenobied all over Anakin !
Looks like I Obi Won.
i read this in George Lucas's voice
I'm just so glad for Hayden Christensen. He signed onto Star Wars to play Vader, and he really didn't get that chance in full until now.
Yeah I feel like Hayden's awful acting in the prequels were due to Lucas's terrible script and directing.
I love Vincent Adultman. I was literally thinking that during the scene!!! I love you guys!!!! I'm dying laughing
@@TheBlargMarg Or maybe 15 years are passed... It could be both. His body language is good though, I know because it was great in the Italian dub, I never experienced how bad it was until I watched it in English.
He didn't sign on to the prequels to play Vader. He knew he was playing Anakin.
Not really… he had 2 scenes. They really should have shown more
Its nice to see that fans (even Screen Junkies) are finally giving Hayden Christensen the respect he deserves after they all crucified him for his performance in the prequels when in fact the blame goes to Lucas' writing
His ROTS performance was George. I do blame him for AOTC. One word...rapey.
Same. Love Hayden Christensen
In all fairness, Anakin Skywalker acted just like the kind of overly emotional creep that would become Darth Vader.
Lucas’ writing and direction
His acting was bad too. He did a good job this time tho!
Cant believe Wade didn’t get a mention. His death was so emotional
Obi Wan proved to me that people will ignore plot holes, bad writing, messing up canon, etc simply because the Star Wars label is slapped on it
Slap Darth Vader on anything and anyone will overlook anything
Not everyone...but many

Pretty late in the game to come to that conclusion, but glad you did. I stopped watching this garbage series halfway through the first episode. Just because its star wars doesnt mean you have to like/watch it. In fact, boycotting bad shows/movies is probably the best way to get better content out of these clowns. Like what happened to cowboy bebop. The sw franchise would never cancel like that, but maybe theyd start putting a little more thought into it.
It's okay to get excited about bringing back your favorite characters, but it doesn't mean you agree with an incoherent plot just to have it, in the SW universe there are many topics that were never officially addressed, it would be interesting to see them better explained, you can reopen a story without losing continuity, BUT they never do it well, they go the easy way of assuming that it's not a big deal and that's why they ruin plots and characters
If Star Wars has taught me anything it's that you should never blame the actors but the directors.
Don't forget the writers!
No. Blame them all.
I mean the actors who don't have the spine to say no annoy me
@@tamberlame27 Agreed. Very disappointing
Star Wars (Disney) had taught me how not to make movies period.
I like how Inquisitors basically have the skill level to murder children, burnt out jedi, and civilians and yet Reva thought she could actually go up against the dude who has the all time record for killing Jedi. At 5:28 she realizes what a grave error this was.
Sorry, I found both her acting and her character in general infuriating. What a swing and a miss. (Imo).

The problem with this show was that we know all of the main characters survive, and they just didn't give the original characters time to make us care about them. The result was that there were 6 episodes with literally no stakes in them and basically just explaining some backstories and lore that didn't really needed to be explained. Also creating some hilarious time and continuity errors.
I didn't watch the show, but I have a feeling it's in part because Disney is trying for mass appeal. Part of that mass appeal is appealing to people who've never seen the original Star wars or maybe even the prequels. I know, heresy. I feel like if you pretend you've never seen Star Wars Obi-Wan gets better. Maybe. Seems like a general family appeal thing. For more hardcore star wars fans you're not going to get much out of it and you're probably going to be annoyed. I just was never interested in the first place.
I think they call that fan service
@@mjj69 which fans though? How is deconstructing a beloved OT character fan service?
@Arutaretil Yes accurate.
That "Ben - Her" joke is pretty clever. Love it

Ewan McGregor keeping up the trend of being the best part of any Star Wars project he’s in.
Same💯💯💯💯
Ewan Mcgregor is a legend
He is truly the peanut in the turd
@@chasehedges6775 He is a legend, but at the same time it usually doesn't take much.
@@chasehedges6775 he was until he jumped on the “let’s accuse ‘em of racism” bandwagon.
My biggest issue with the series is how it didn’t have any stakes. We already know the fate of the characters from the OT, and the show didn’t do a good enough job at making me care about the new characters like Reva. Because of that, all of the times it tried to build tension just fell flat and felt kind of ridiculous.
I completely agree with this. I do like Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan and Young Leia was great, but… yeah, it’s hard to get invested when these are the characters who are in danger (oh, and hey, let’s endanger Young Luke just for kicks). Star Wars *really* needs to step away from the Skywalkers.
Right? When the miscellaneous female care-giver/super ballsy badass killed herself with a thermal detonator it barely made a dent. She had no backstory and I wasn't at all invested in her. It feels so nakedly manipulative now.
That’s what I was saying while watching this. Everyone is protected by plot amour so there is only so much the writers could come up with. I don’t know if I want season 2 for this reason, despite this been my favourite series
But when Wade died I was devastated.
It didn't help that they had zero skill at writing tension - Kenobi shouldn't have found out that Vader was still alive until he faced him but like a little child sharing what a present is before it can be opened, Reva had to blab, thus what should have been an epic reveal of Vader sharing that he was Anakin was just Kenobi stumbling around in the dark, making the worst escape attempt since OJ Simpson.
This was a super honest Honest Trailer, that went more for honesty than humor. I appreciate that
Only thing they should have admitted was that people didn't dislike Reva because she was black, the character itself was bad. Disney always pulling the race card.
I had to laugh during the scene with Reva: "Have I become him?" Obi-Wans answer probably should have been: "Depends on how many Younglings YOU'VE killed over the years." (Nothing like getting revenge on a mass murderer by becoming one yourself.)
He should of said, "It's a little late, stupid. Jar Jar is smarter than you."
Tbf we don’t know how many people she’s killed over the years. The worst we saw her do was chop a lady’s hand off and try to torture Leia, which admittedly, is BEYOND EVIL
@@Arander92 We know what Inquisitors do for a living and we know that those who don't do their job get murdered or worse pretty quickly, so smart money says that she murdered more innocents than Anakin murdered younglings. Let's also not forget all of the force sensitive children she's brought back over the years, most of whom would have died horribly during their training or in some horrific experiment carried out on them by the Emperor. She didn't even redeem herself at the end, instead, all she did was choose not to murder Luke - I choose not to murder my neighbor's kid every day so am I a saint? Unlike Vader, she didn't sacrifice anything or actively show any remorse, instead, she simply showed a single moment of empathy and decided not to murder Luke - she is not redeemed in the least bit, instead, for that she'll need to start working to undo the evil she's inflicted, feel genuine remorse for her actions and vow to turn to the light. She hasn't done any of those things so the reality is that if Ben had killed her like he should have then she was going straight to whatever the Star Wars version of hell is.

Ya, really makes the end of her story nonsensical...she gives up her wicked life, tries to kill Vader, and then chases Baby Luke in order to...prove her worth to Vader again by capturing him?
Even worse, the show tries to justify her arc by "redeeming" her for saving one child.
Seems like it would have made more sense for the story for Obi-Wan to team up with her while they are both running from the Inquisitors. Obi-Wan sees in her a path to redemption for him to guide another Jedi. You could have the tension of her driving anger and him trying to focus that to keep her on the light side.

No, no. It’s accurate to how they act in Masters of Teras Kasi
This was a solid one ! Ben, Her killed me at the end. Well done HT.
Hayden's acting was both great and terrible in the prequels but I do think it's mostly due to the script and bad directing. One thing he was always able to do without fail was portray a hell of a lot of emotion through his eyes and hold scenes with nothing but a stare.
I’m not a huge fan of Haydren’s Anakin, but he is an incredibly good Vader. He’s a good actor on the whole.
Bring back the STARE music montage!
It's notable that the best scene he and Portman had together was the scene in "Sith" where they sense each other across the city and don't say anything.
I thought Hayden did a good job tbh for what he had to work with. His Vader scene was the best.
All you have to do is compare Samuel L Jackson in the prequels compared with what he has done in every other movie ever. That tells you the problem was not with the actors.
"You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker, I did". Honestly the best scene in the whole series
It really solidifies Obi-Wan telling Luke that Darth Vader killed his father, from a certain point of view.
It certainly puts a new spin on the 'From a certain point of view' argument, turns out the POV is Vader's
It makes me rethink two of Darth Vaders lines from Episode IV. "I sense something; a presence I've not felt since..." that's not Obi-Wan, that's Anakin resurfacing. "When I left you I was but the learner, but now I am the master" are Anakins first words since Darth Vader "killed" him. Because last time Darth faced Kenobi, he was already a master.
Same.
It really changes a lot of RoTJ

And then he whispered: “It’s Quigon’ time.”
It's so stupid I love it

With this joke you threw a Mace on the Wind-u
I didn't even notice the silliness of Obi-Wan asking Leia how old she is. I guess that's what I get for only half-paying attention.
Bonus points for ignoring the context of the scene
What was silly about it though? Sure, maybe a bit cliche but it didn't particularly stand out.
@@HellDuke- because, this guy named Obi-Wan, he was there when Leia was born. Like literally the first person to hold her.
Honestly, compared to the rest of the bad writing, it's practically nothing.
He was being sarcastic if I recall the scene correctly. He knows she's ten but she doesn't talk like your average ten year old. She's got a lot of sass in her.
I think they missed a huge opportunity when young Leia asked Obi-wan why she should trust him. He should have answered “Because I’m your only hope.” Would have turned that “Help me, Obi-wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.” recording into a cute in-joke between them.
OK that _definitely_ would've felt forced and pandering.
You don't need to connect EVERY sentence ever spoken in the original trilogy with something current...
I get that it's a little too on the nose, but I actually love this. Good thinking bro
Based on Luke and Leia's presumed age of 10, the events of A New Hope take place 7-10 years after this show. Ewan McGregor, born 1971, was 50-51 when this show was filmed, meaning his character will be 57-61 by the time the events of A New Hope take place. Sir Alec Guiness, born 1914, was 62-63 when A New Hope (which came out in 1977) was filmed. Short version - McGregor is the correct age to portray Obi Wan at this point in the timeline.
Reva’s forced “redemption” via changing her mind about killing Luke (what about all the other kids and fellow force users you killed when you supposedly hate Vader for killing kids and fellow force users??) gave me WandaVision “they’ll never know what you sacrificed for them” twisted morality vibes.
Disney really cant accept morally grey characters- heck just villains with principals. Like for fucks sake, either stop having them be monsters or stop trying to redeem them
@@MrGemHunter nope they all have a tragic backstory that is tragic. So, so tragic. Don't you feel bad for the monster they were made to be? It's tragic.
Because modern female "villains " in Disney movies are never actual villains anymore. The reason they are bad is always by no fault of their own and usually because of a white man, and then they always get some stupid half assed "redemption " by doing nothing and become the greatest person ever even though they have usually been mass murderer's.
@@newtpondskipper LMAO. But the sad thing its come to a point I can never be sure you're joking or not.
The redemption is always so lazy. Main character just excuses and justifies their actions and now it's OK. Wanda was a monster that should have been sent to some magic prison. And reva shouldn't have even survived ep5.

Fun fact one of the Jedi's in those pods is a master of Asoka. They had a whole arc together where he teaches her patience. So that could easily be something you see in the future. If Asoka knew he was down there she would go save him. He was one of the only Jedi with a white light saber like Asoka, meaning he had more neutral views of the force then all other Jedi.

The 40 yr old Padawan scene was a bit unsettling but still cool
they could deep fake him being young. youtubers did it for free and did a better job than the luke stuff in mandalorian
I know some people criticized it, but I mean, even at maximum budget Disney/Marvel only run about 50/50 on having their de-aging tech actually look good. I'm pretty much OK with them not trying to mess with Hayden, and just leaving his performance alone. Better that, than risk turning him into a mush-face like they did to Luke.
@@danielroden9424 I think they just want to keep Hayden’s performance original
That did make me raise an eyebrow seeing obviously 41 year old Hayden Christiansen in prequel mode. I got over it quickly tho
I do think they just wanted to preserve his performance, so they did what they could with the lighting to soften both his and Ewan's features for that scene. I don't mind it honestly. Messing around with him digitally would just draw attention to the effects.
Considering the original trilogy, there’s something so right about the fact that even though it was Hayden in the suit they still got James Earl Jones to do the voice.
Not quite..
They got a robot to do a JEJ impression
Hayden wasn't in the suit for most of the scenes with the suit, just the ones where he's getting the helmet put on or the mask is busted open. And since he wasn't the voice of Vader....that means he was only in like 2 scenes.

Honestly the last fight scene was really infuriating to me- a huge part of whole show is about anakin and bens relationship- when they meet and are about to start fighting there’s Hardly any dialogue at all. And then it makes you even more confused about the force. Even yoda and obi wan in the prequels couldn’t start a ‘rock storm’ or whatever that was. Why is ben all of the sudden able to do that? Also obi wan could hardly use the force just days before that. And then he defeats darth Vader (which shouldn’t be possible given all his years of being inactive) and then he just walks away. WTF??? Why didn’t he finish him off? Absolutely no explanation is given why he didn’t finish him off at all. That’s just one plot hole out of many infuriating ones in the show
Obi Wan couldn't finish Vader off right then because Vader needed to be available later to strike Obi Wan down so that Obi Wan could become more powerful than Vader could possibly image. Plus Vader needed to be available to throw the Emperor down that shaft thus brining balance to the Force. Even if it was only temporary.
@@gregorymoore2877 lol
My big complaint is how powerful Vader is in this show. Compare him in this show to A New Hope. Pity that one bombed, I would have liked a follow-up.
It didn't work well at all. They had a 10 year old girl be smarter and more resourceful than one of the greatest jedi ever. This show was terrible.
Solid review. Makes fun of the dumb things, while also highlighting the few good things.
The “LOUD quiet LOUD” school of villainy….the easiest way to show the character is unhinged 😅
"Follow along on a celibate, religious mans new mission: stare at a 10 year old boy all day." Godamn that's a burn 🤣🤣🤣
Show was a missed opportunity to show more of Obi and Vaders internal and external struggles. Too much emphasis was put on other characters
I think you mean: "The Reva Show featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi" (I would have Child Leia share billing but A] Reva don't share and B] She has what Reva doesn't: range and depth.) But then again, this is DISNEY. Creating fake outrage to hide the fact that their company employs bad people to make bad stuff? In other news, the big yellow one is the Sun.
It was a pick your poison thing: Hayden can't act and the other characters all sucked.
I‘m curious… how the hell would you have done that?
@Kal El Why doesn't he ever do it on film?
@@Livingston_Seagull Like seriously a missed opportunity. If they really were so desperate for a Darth Vader vs Kenobi fight, it could have been in his Force trials like Yoda in the Clone Wars show. He fights Vader but it's not actually him but he thinks it is Vader.
😂 I first thought he said, Disney turned the franchise into fecal with lightsabers.
This show needed Jon Favreau The whole franchise needs him The amazing job he did with The Mandalorian proves he's the right one to save Star Wars

If she can survive golf-ball sized holes through her torso with apparently no serious damage to vital organs then sure, why not give force teleportation abilities too?
She got back to Tatooine pretty damn quick.

Yeah but she had to use force parkour instead of helicoptering around like a REAL Inquisitor.

At this point, we all hate Disney.
The quote was the one lesson Disney can’t afford to learn. The Stars Wars franchise will go on for decades at least while changing to fit for future generations, so suck it up all ready you whiners!
@@multiverse_media2023 Yeah, same with me, I used to be obsessed with Star Wars until Episode 8 and Solo happened and I woke up and realize what they done to it, I give it up completely by removing and giving away all of my SW collection, throw away my SW TFA backpack and move on to better stuff, I hate Star Wars now and sci-fi in general cause it remind me of it that got me into it. Another thing on why I hate Disney is they shut down Club Penguin, I played it since 2009 and its end in 2017, it was a big part of my childhood, even though it went downhill in 2013, I still love it, despite its worst parties and events, even though I stopped playing it in 2015.

“Problem Child” for Leia + The shot you guys chose of Leia looking sus was perfect lmao
"Grumpy warrior gets a cute, sassy kid to safety". An underrated trope that still holds up well since Aliens (1986).
Ripley was never a warrior, though, nor particularly grumpy. She was just a loader driver who wanted these things dead after ptsd and them wiping her crew. The fact she goes back after Newt makes it all the more bad arse cos she's just a pissed off woman with a gun andd very little training lol
💯💯💯
Newt wasn’t very sassy, just *very* good at screaming.
@@kurtisdeakin Which makes Aliens 3 very depressing.
Except Newt was shown to be a capable survivor since she managed to stay alive in a massive colony surrounded by monsters, thus her being resourceful and clever went without saying. Leia here is a pampered princess yet some how she's all snarky and competent.
Absolutely love this
You killed it. I stumbled upon this video don't watch this channel. But that was great! 👌👏👏
Enforced Method Acting: Obi-Wan's sheer terror upon encountering Darth Vader face-to-face in Part III was more than just acting. Ewan McGregor admitted in interviews that seeing Hayden Christensen in full costume walking straight towards him legitimately scared him, which added to Obi-Wan's panicked demeanor while fighting him.
Wait, this isn't IMDB's Trivia Page.
That doesn't sound enforced though, just lucky.
This is because Hayden Christensen regularly mugged Ewan McGregor during the filming of the Prequel Trilogy.

The "Grandfather maybe" line sticks out so weird to me. Ewan McGregor is younger than Smits who is playing her father. Also, I don't know what is was most specifically, I haven't seen other performances from her. But, the Reva character suffered from a combo of bad writing, directing and acting. Tho that still never justifies attacking the actor, they didn't make the show... Not that you should attack those people either... Or anyone at all, its just a TV show... Gods the internet sucks these days.
Great points
Yeah its not like there were garbage Fans around before the Internet existed. They just didn't have a easy way to directly screech at Actors before the Actors decided to hang out on Twitter for marketing purposes. Also Moses Ingram said she doesn't have a problem with it, she knows how the ignore button works, i can 100% respect that, finally somebody who doesn't milk playing victim. ...and you know, the more you give exposure to these types and cry about it, the more they will feel like they achieved something.
It's a child delivering a burn, don't overthink it.
Not being able to forget the joy I felt when watching Star Wars Episode I in theaters makes this hurt all the more.
"Fifa with lightsabers" might be the greatest metaphor I've ever heard. Fkin 10/10!
What exactly did Reva think Vader was focused on while she was sneaking up behind him? In fact, can anyone tell WTF Reva was 'thinking' at any point in the entire series?
Or what the point of her was
It's a long running theme through out Star Wars that dark siders are fueled by rage, but that same rage often blinds them. Reva wasn't thinking "will Vader see this coming" she was thinking "imma stab him", just like moments before Vader wasn't thinking "is there any other escape method", he was thinking "imma rip this ship open to find Obi-Wan". When you view it that way, it makes a lot more sense. She's not got some grand plan once she gets there, it's just about getting into a position to act. Which is honestly better than the super-over-the-top-convoluted villain plans we regularly get.
@@darklordmordred3459 She works out who Luke is from the message she picks up - if she can't kill Vader, she clearly thinks to revenge herself by killing Luke.
Still fuming about Obi getting away I assume. More to the point, why did she take a swing at him and give him the chance to respond?
Probably focused on trying to comprehend the fact that her goal was to kill him for killing the only family she ever knew despite the fact she joined up with the people that hunt down the only family she ever knew.
"Ben, Her" Ok I can't stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣
"BEN, HER." Ok, that was clever. Well played.
One of your better videos! Jam packed with hilarity!
This series was hard to get through. It made absolutely no sense. So, they find out organa knows where Kenobi is so they... Kidnap Leia? It's an imperial controlled planet, just arrest him and use the force interrogation that the show makes explicitly clear you have. Vader rips a transport out of the sky, tears it apart, and then just stares at the actual transport flies away. Doesn't even try to stop it. Reva then tries to stab Vader in the back, so Vader fights her. But instead of just choking her and getting it over with so he can chase Kenobi, he intentionally draws out the fight, stabs her, then doesn't finish her off for some reason? He had no problem murdering random civilians for no reason the day before, but the person who just tried to kill him? Nah He chases down Kenobi, buries him in rocks, and just kinda leaves? You can't sense he's still alive down there? The force seems pretty good about telling people when someone is dead. You don't wanna crush the rubble down some more just to be safe? So Kenobi gets out because he remembers he's in more movies after this, and fights some more. He beats Vader, and finally accepts that Anakin is truly gone. And with this revelation, he promptly leaves and doesn't kill the genocidal maniac laying on the ground in front of him. Probably because he remembers that Vader is also in more movies after this. And so the series ends. Leia is now a sassy kid on alderan, ready to become a senator. Kenobi is a space hermit watching a young boy. Vader is still a genocidal monster. So basically nothing important has changed since episode 3 set the status quo for episode 4. So why should I care about any of this?
"No thinking, thinking bad, consume content" -Disney (probably)
So it’s like the original movies then? Obi-Wan says the Jawas were killed by Stormtroopers because “only they are so precise”… yet they can’t hit anything they shoot at for the rest of the movie? If the reason they can’t hit anything is because Vader is letting them escape… did he somehow know that Threepio and Artoo would shut off the garbage mashers at the last second to keep them all from getting crushed? The Empire spends almost 20 years building the Death Star… but manage to miss one design flaw that could instantly destroy the entire moon-sized station with a single shot? And apparently one of the officers figures this out in a matter of minutes and even advises Tarkin to evacuate which he refuses to do? I can do this with any Star Wars movie or show, but I would also be here all day. None of the Star Wars movies and shows can really stand up to the scrutiny you lot are throwing at the Kenobi show. Maybe being a kid and nostalgia kept you from seeing it in the earlier movies, but maybe Star Wars just isn’t for you.
