Welcome to my latest build adventure, I'll be transforming an ordinary work van into the ultimate luxury camper for under $10k! This includes the price of the van itself. Join me as I share the entire process, from the initial concept to the final result of the build, all captured in detail!
In this video, you'll witness my passion for DIY and love for adventure come to life. With creativity, resourcefulness, and a tight budget, I've managed to create a luxurious home on wheels that rivals even the most extravagant RVs and vans on the market.
Follow along step-by-step as I tackle each aspect of the transformation. From gutting and insulating the van's interior to crafting ingenious space-saving storage solutions, I leave no stone unturned in our quest to create the ultimate travel haven.
Equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, stylish and cozy furnishings, and carefully curated interior design, this camper van promises to redefine the notion of luxury on the road and reset the current pricing market. The attention to detail and the selection of premium materials rival the most expensive luxury campervans.
But it's not just about aesthetics! This van is all about practicality and functionality of our creation. From a fully-equipped kitchenette to a compact yet comfortable transforming sleeping area, I've thought of everything to ensure that this van is nothing short of extraordinary.
As I share my journey, I hope to inspire fellow adventure-seekers and DIY enthusiasts to pursue their dreams of van life, without taking out a mortgage in the process. With determination and ingenuity, turning an ordinary van into a mobile home should be within reach for everyone.

  • Young man, I am a 71 year old professional wood worker/ cabinet maker/ furniture maker/ builder. Not bragging, just giving background information. I am completely blown away…..but not just by your skill set, but by you! What an amazing and incredible build out. The creativity and ingenuity are second to none. The perseverance and commitment speak to your character. I love your temperament and thoroughly enjoyed you sharing your fuck up when you had to redo that kerfed plywood panel for the toilet. Not to take joy in your screw up, but to show those who don’t work with their hands the challenges faced in tactile work. You are most brilliant. Looking forward to more videos……loved your mock stealing of your sister’s couch. Best of travels.

  • I am 70 years old and live in Holland, MI. I wanted to tell you I think you are an exceptionally good carpenter and a talented young man. I'm very impressed with the skills you have at such a young age. Besides that your work ethic at this age is highly admirable, so many young people do not have what you have going for them. I honestly believe you will go a very long way in your lifetime if you keep this up. Don't get discouraged or EVER give up, persistence pays off. I'm very sorry you lost your dad, he was a good man if he raised a son like you.

  • My man made a composting toilet outta wood LMAO, this build is truly inspirational. Camping vans have been a pipe dream because I want it to be fully self sufficient (solar, toilet, running water, etc) and you’ve checked all the boxes. Every other van with these same amenities go for 100k+. You did it for 1/10th of the cost. I can’t believe what I saw. I will be checking in on your educational videos and more of your content. Hats off to you for this one!

    • My heart goes out to you, losing a parent is so very very difficult. I applaud you for soldiering on with this video. Regarding the build and your videography -you-are-absolutely-amazing! 👏🏽👍🏽 I sold my Sprinter in April because once I got the insulation installed, I was completely overwhelmed. On the bright side, I did live in it full time and traveled for a year. If you had been around perhaps I would have tackled the rest. I’m certain that many people will benefit from your course. I totally agree with you the price of a build is outrageous! But with that said, quality craftsmanship carries a hefty price tag. There are a number of skills that one has to gain to build a van, and I had none. Although I no longer have a van, I’ve subscribed and will be giving you regular thumbs up. All the best to you.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed, as usual. Condolences - was there 15 years ago and I appreciate him more and more. My wife is on oxygen full time for the last 20 years. You have just handed me a possible plan B. We had plans to continue extensive travel that we've done in our minivan camper with inverter, dc-dc charger and home oxygen concentrator pulling about 50 amps at 14v, but about 6 months ago her oxygen needs went beyond the limit of the conventional machine. The new unit at home now does up to 10 lpm instead of the usual 5 (practically only 4), which would pull about 70-80 amps total, way beyond the capacity of my wiring, alternator or charger. Looking at motor homes with generators, but price, size and expenses are prohibitive. You present an option that is more affordable and a better size. i come from a tv production and electronics background, but since moving south have worked apartment maintenance. I have the tools and the knowhow, and looking to retire in another year. PS - your production skills are growing better and better, and for visual impact, timing, and editing skills, you have no peers. Congratulations! Do you nave plans to add air conditioning? We need to travel to Texas and possibly Las Vegas, but beyond that, the equipment throws off a whole lot of heat.

How to make hidden seams and assemble so nothing squeaks. What is the lightest meterials and how to make them water proof! What adhesives to use where. How to start with a ruff in of electrical and plumbing. Your ideas to substitute hardware from the RV store was spot on!!! The TV stand, what motor and controller did you use? • 2:00 Excuse me, but it's terrible! He laid the floor directly on the rusty base. He did not remove the rust and did not treat the metal from corrosion with anything! This bus requires rust removal, painting and anti-corrosion treatment. And he stuck everything on rust! We don't need such a motorhome. It will rot soon. 5:15 Terrible! He did not cover the sharp edges of the metal with anything and pushed the wires into the hole! Over time, they will wear out.

  • I started pianting vans back in the 80's . I live Elkhart Indiana RV capital of the world. All van conversion companies closed back years ago. It not only worms my hart to see them still being made, but what your doing with your skill set is how the conversion van started. Very nice work. 1000's of people are looking for what you are producing.

    • No offense but did you finish the video? He lost his dad halfway through the build, you see him play with his dog, visiting his sister. How is this “away from distractions”? Because to me it seems he is more in the middle of life than a person can be. Also…. If you ever feel the need to start a sentence like that again maybe it is a sign to not say it.

I am a 63 yr old US Navy Veteran with almost 40 yrs in the residential maintenance industry as well as 6 yrs as an Interior Communication Technician. Also 2 yrs in the RV industry as a tech and I do not know how to do some of the things you do. Now granted I could easily learn but you are a very special craftsman and I bow to you in respect. Beautiful Job especially in the details.

  • First of all my condolences to you and your family for the loss of your father, tough times! Everytime I see people making a van to live in or just to go camping in I am impressed. But I have to say this has been the most impressive of all I have seen. You seem to have a natural ability/talent to do everything. And not to mention imagination. Adding to that the ability to maintain all you have done. I am so impressed, I hate to keep using that word, but it suits the situation. You have reason to pat yourself on the back, with one of those big arms. I look forward to seeing more of your great talent!
