In this video, I build an entire off grid electrical system for a van using only a portable power station, a 12v fuse block, and an AC distribution panel. I did this build outside of the van on a work bench so that you can see and understand exactly how I do everything throughout this process. I am not an electrician. I'm just a self taught guy with a camera. This video is not intended to give you any advice, or tell you that this is the correct way of doing things. This video merely exists to show you how I personally choose to build my electrical systems.

Good job bro! Keep doing your thing bro. I was a friend of your father. He was so proud of you and loved you much. 🖤💪🏽
Your channel is by far my favourite of all camper van builders dude. Just a pleasure to watch, not just for your awesome insight but also to observe the sheer level of quality in the work you produce. Really really impressive. Much respect to you.

Mines2 he's inspiring me to buy a van& let him goooooo!
Same I look forward to his videos
I am very sorry for the loss of your father. I pray that you, and your family are doing well. I can only imagine that he was extremely proud of you! You are a very talented person, and I enjoy watching your builds. Awesome job!
❤
I've been watching RV videos for a few yrs now and have often wondered about wiring to one of these batteries. Seems REALLY simple now that you've shown how its done, I almost feel pretty silly for not grasping it in the 1st place. A big thank you for this video! keep em coming!
Hey, DualEx. So sorry to hear about your Dad, much respect to you and your family. Listen, after watching your video, I feel like I'm in my old computer classes from years ago. Please, by all means, continue with this. Take care. ✌🏽
I've always had trouble with electrical stuff because I thought it was complicated but you just made it look so easy. I now have the confidence and know how to tackle this on my own! Thank you!
Wow! You’re really showing us how to do electrical work…😂
Finally, someone who shows how to do the regular wiring! Heavenly Father, bless this man! I’ve seen so many videos of wiring solar panels to batteries but have been having a hard time finding a good tutorial for where the power meets the appliance. Thank you!!
yo man tried emailing you one more time and figured i'd just make sure my emails are actually going through!
So happy I found you and your channel again! I saw you on KZhead when you first started out and hadn't subscribed right away, and then lost you and couldn't find you....until today! Subscribed immediately. Love all your builds/information/skills-for-days. Thanks for all your hard work. Very sorry for the loss of your Dad. Praying for comfort and peace for you and your family.
I'm a simple man, I see a DualEx video and I watch immediately. Hope I can use this info some day soon!
Thank you. I always wanted to know how to wire electricity. You make it so simple although I will watch your video a few more times just to do it right. You're amazing. By the way very clean hands and fingernails. Great instructor.
Keep up the good work bro in a couple yrs you'll have your own fully functioning company. Keep getting that bred. Also I have been watching you for 3-4yrs now. Take care 🫡
I would love to see you build a Studio van
I love this, because while I understand the basics of "home wiring", this helped to understand that little bit that I wasn't quite wrapping my head around. Thanks!
I love the little threaded wire caps! I think I’m learning!
Sending those daily positive vibes from Houston everyone!
Have a good day bud!
Thank you! I love it when someone explains things slowly and thoroughly! Also, Your soothing voice is a plus!😁
Hello! Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I have a Bluetti AC500 system with two batteries that I bought to use in my skoolie build. We currently use it in winter to run our pellet stove during power outages in our house, but I want to be able to move the system to the bus when I go on the road. I have been thinking of wiring the bus without the ‘brains’ of the power system as a permanent part of the build but I only had a vague sense of what to do. This video is LITERALLY the missing link I needed. I really enjoy the creative thinking you bring to your videos. Thank you again, this is just what I needed!
I’m a 47 year old mom who does a lot of misc. tasks around house and this video popped up and checked it out. Wow God blessed u with so many gifts including a platform to be a witness thru! Also sorry to hear of ur loss.
Dude! This Was Amazing! *Sife Note ~ I May Be Bias Because I'm A General Contractor But I Can Tell You I Have Watched A LOT Of Vids On Turning My Tacoma Into A Home When I'm Traveling & Take It All Out EASY & FAST As Possible For My Jobs! You Are Easily The Best At Breaking Down What You Are Doing Into What "Homeowners" Can Easily Understand!!! Many Props To You & Your Knowledge & Basically Verbage For All!💯👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Sir!, thank you so very much for your time and information to us out here!!! Way cool stuff!
Very detailed video, great job! FYI, the 10A cigarette port may be inadequate to handle the entire load of a van. Bluetti, EcoFlow, and Goal Zero have models with high output (30A) DC ports that use a more secure connection (Anderson or Aviation).
This is the electrical DIY I've been needing! Great job!
You really need to add rubber circular grommets in your roof cable holes to protect from chafing and electrical shorts/fires.. Like other vehicles, these should be added anytime you pass live wires through sheet metal or bulkheads. they can be added to current installation by making one cut and spiraling them into place.
I appreciate your teacher’s mindset trying to spread knowledge and love. I didn’t need the knowledge this time, but I appreciate you no less my brother.
Man, you are so talented and gifted that this doesn't make any sense. You do awesome work. I am truly jealous. God bless you and keep doing your thing.
I Love this van build sooo Thank You watching your video Now Happy Saturday 🙌🏽💯👍🏽🫶🏾
Thank you for making this easy for someone like me to do. It always seemed so complicated
Thank you so much this is exactly what I wanted to see. Every video I've seen about electrical has involved hooking up batteries to chargers and inverters and all that stuff, and I'm perfectly happy with my little box that has all that stuff in one unit like your Anker. But I didn't have much info on how to connect it up to outlets and appliances around the van and this will be helpful
We sold our 1984 Toyota new horizon motor home last year. I watched all of your views during our remodeling and it makes me happy to see your growth brother. Hopefully I can buy one of these solar generators for my next build. -Dave
Awesome video bro, i enjoy every video that you post
What is simple for some will be hard for others! Just depends on what your passion is and you found it of course! It’s as easy as breathing for you
VERY informative! Thank you PS Ankur should give you the power station because I'm going to buy one... Great advertisement!
Thanks!
Your vans always look durable and beautiful. Thank you so much for taking the time out to do this video for us. Amen
Ok. Let’s just get to the point. You are amazing!!! Electrical set up confuses me but you did such a good job I actually ‘kinda’ understand where as an hour ago I was just nope. Actually feeling like I may be able to do this. I have a Bluetti AC200MAX so hopefully it will power what I WANT not necessarily NEED. Good job and thanks for giving an old lady some confidence!
You’re so good at teaching this stuff I’m too old and just living in my regular van because I’m homeless but if I was young and not homeless again I would do this! And I’m a woman
I am watching this right now and I am amazed, you have a brilliant imagination and mad skills! I can only imagine what you could do with a big budget. I think this is your calling, for real!
Condolence to you and your family. Oh my goodness. My wife and I just watched part 1 and 2… awesome amazing videos. Looking forward to seeing other ones. Thank you for sharing. Happy 2024 to you.
Great informative video! You explained and demonstrated it so well, I think I can give it a go! I've always had an aversion towards electrical projects but you made it look so easy a child could do it! 😃 Thanks so much!!
super clever guy, and so easy to understand/follow, BRILLIANT, UK
Damn. Did you build another van? Are you secretly Tony Stark? lol
Your going to go far my friend your craftsmanship is epic and you explain things very well thank you 😊
You are an amazing artisan! Respect!
You are a multiskilled genius ❣️
WoW! So glad I found your channel. You are amazing. Please keep doing what you do! Also, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dad. Much love
This is third or fourth video I've seen of yours and you are doing some very quality work and showing some fresh ideas its nice to see someone taking pride in what they are doing so keep up the good work
Yea bro been waiting for another video 🫡
I know this is a silly question...how do you know what size fuses/breakers are required for all of your various bits??
The best camper video out! You are a true teacher. I am a female and think I can do this. Thanks for showing how to wire an outlet plug. I am going to buy some fork connectors.
Great video, and I appreciate the honesty in the end about going the circular outlet route to save time or money. I want to get a van I can stand inside and rig it similarly to this van, as I want a desk space like you have here.
I wish these companies would start upping the DC output to 20a or so on these smaller power stations. I think Pecron is the only one that has done it with the E1500LFP which has 300-400w DC output.
Such an amazing job explaining the what and the how!! Bravo😊 I’m so intimidated by electrical systems. I’ve done a lot of home remodeling and updates and I always shy away from the electric but the way you described and explained everything makes me feel like I could tackle that if I needed to.
This was awesome and so helpful. Thank you for the links and free build plans! You're the best! 🥰🥰
I learned something. I've only replaced some miscellaneous things like an outlet but followed what was there not understanding why. I definitely appreciated this and loved....the humility of teaching us how you do it not necessarily teaching us how everyone does it. Thank you.
Thank you, and great job, great inspiration for next year 👍
You do amazing work! And I don't there's anything you can't do or figure out!!!!
I’m so glad you are back!! 🏆🏆🏆
1/7/2024 condolences to you and your family on the loss of your father. My granny said the fruit doesn’t fall too far from the tree. I see an awesome man through you are an outstanding person with sharing your knowledge on vans conversions. One day hopefully soon I will be experiencing this lifestyle. Soon
Thank you for this easy way
Thank you so very much for the sharing of your time and expertise with solar wiring, fuses, and breakers. I now feel confident to take on the challenge of hooking up a small solar system to my shed (not yet built, though; but, soon to come). I am gathering as much knowledge as I possibly can in preparation to the build. Thanks again!!!
Absolutely awesome thanks for sharing
Man this is amazing. If you’re ever in Philadelphia and interested in showing this to a school this would be great to show them.
Have you ever thought about doing a Skoolie conversion, specifically a larger 30-45ft bus?
Love the van. Now... u need a french Château to remake. Or one of those dollar houses in Italy.
Always great videos you put out...great job...thank you
I just want to say thank you. Your video is very informative and it has given me lots of ideas.
Dual Ex! You're a Genius My Man!1💯
those stripped wire crimp on covers are impressive! Gotta get me some of those!
Great & timely info! Spec’ing out a teardrop trailer now, but going to be hooking all the electrical up to a 2000Whr EcoFlow Delta2 Max myself.
Builder man is back! Awesome vid, dualie
Sorry about the lost of your dad. My condolences and prayers are with you and your family. You did a great job.
A true master at your craft love your work
Thank you for doing this video and all the information you provide us.
Great instruction on how to do this
Man I LOVE your build videos. So informative and even easy for novices to understand. Thanks for your amazing skills being shared with us.
Wow! I’m so fascinated with your work! You can literally build anything. 😍
Love your content so detailed makes me want to wire something up. Love building things, retired carpenter and enjoy working and dealing cars, fun stuff. Have a good day.
Magnificent work. 👍🏾 Thank you for getting straight to the point. I’m going to try and replicate your work to build confidence and then attempt to expand. Thanks again.
U ever do box trucks, be great if u did 16-20ft box w/ grandma’s attic
Excellent teaching! You are truly amazing 😊!
I'm starting to learn about wiring for a build I want to do. I have zero electrical experience and found your video to be the BEST I've seen that takes it from the item you want to power all the way to the power source (battery). Very, very helpful. I guess you can teach an old dog (me) new tricks! Thank you so much.
DX: your skills and videography keep getting better. Thanks so much for the content!!
Nice and simple. Your ideas are excellently detailed. Subbed.
Another banger bruh. Oh yeah, I got my SolixC1000 on day 1. It's the right size & portability to ride up front and power my small dc fridge. Much appreciated the tutorial.
Amazing. Just watched the whole build, you are truly talented. Love your work.
As always great job. Now we want to watch you rebuild the sailboat ⛵️ it would be fun thing to watch with ur craftsmanship
Nice and simple. Thank you.
What a fantastic idea. Many thanks for sharing ❤
Bro wish I could hop on and just build vans out with you for a living
You are an inspiration. Great video today! Thanks.
Ещё раз спасибо за контент!)
My condolences to you& god bless I just lost my mom
Thanks! I got two Ecoflow Delta 2's to power my van instead of all hard-wired because of your previous videos.
You're a great teacher Dual Ex! I have learned so much from your videos.
I love your videos. You are a very talented individual. Well done!
Where did you learn how to do all this? You are so knowledgeable!
What a legend! Keep up the good work !
