What's up with everyone getting salty at "affordable"? Maybe you don't have a spare $500 laying around, but if that's the case you probably weren't quite in the market for an ultrawide 1440p 144hz monitor. These easily can start more in the $700+ range. So by *comparison*, this is definitely affordable.
They think cause they're broke that everyone is
Exactly! I've been looking for ages for a 144hz 1440p ultrawide monitor and most are around 1000
JF what? Broke? Im a budget gamer who doesn’t like just dropping 500 dollars on a monitor when my pc itself is only 1000
@@BradPixelManH an ultrawide yeah?
@@ManBearPig617x okay no one is talking about broke.
I saw “affordable” and I clicked right away...

i have the AOC C32G1 32" and i love it. i have mine mounted to an arm that is attached to the wall behind it. I do want to get this model as a main monitor and use my existing as a secondary
I've got 2 of these for a couple months now and they really are incredible.
I was thinking about getting two as well. How does it look with them side by side? I'm a bit worried that two 34" curved monitors is a bit too much or what would you say?
Embrace the curves and the future
Nice Flex ngl
Why would you get two lmao
@Noah Sher I got mine either from NewEgg or Amazon, can't rightfully remember tbh
I just bought two of this and installed them 3 days ago so far im pretty satisfied with them color, gamma and brightness look really high quality and theres some nice little extras like free synch compability. They really are top notch for some "lower" budged (and yeah compared to others with these features and size they are lower budged) glad to see more and more people come to appreciate those and even more glad i bought mine before they get too popular and prizes rise ;)
I managed to snag one from Micro Center a few weeks ago and I'm very happy with it. As for HDR, Windows sucks at displaying SD content when HDR is turned on. But using Adrenaline to adjust brightness and contrast I was able to get a kick-ass display with HDR on, much better than with it off. And of course with it on actual HDR content is SWEET. The only trouble I've encountered is the same type of flickering with Freesync enabled (Radeon 5700XT). I also get tearing while watching videos in full screen with Freesync on. So I leave Freesync off in Adrenaline, and honestly I never notice any tearing in games.
Love ur vids bro , keep up the grind🔥🔥
I bought this monitor when it came out in EU & going from a 27", 75hz monitor to this one change a lot. He said pretty much all the pros & cons for this so if you want to upgrade & you dont want to spend too much, go for it, you won't regret (you'll need a decent gpu tho)
I have two of their 1440p 144hz 27” curves panels. Definitely underrated. Not the best on the market. But for the money, hard to beat.
Great monitor, had one for a couple weeks now and absolutely loving it. The flickering/black screen is common if paired with a 1080ti but CRU will fix it up. Mines set to 49-144 hz and haven't backed out since. The buttons are terrible though, I keep turning the monitor off by accident.
I got the Acer Nitro XVO, and i'm loving it. I never liked curved, so the Acer hits all the boxes the AOC does, but without the curved. Plus it has built in speakers, and the panel is beautiful.
I’ve got the 1080p version of this monitor and I love it
whats the name?

It costs less than my graphics card, that's my justification.

Affordable for what it offers.
It's actually very affordable for the specs, if your pc is under $500 then it definitely can't run this monitor, look for something 1080p 75hz for around $100
@@lucas_vlanc you can get a good 165 hz monitor for 160-170

460 bucks gg I’m out
Crazohs bruh that monitor costs between 600-760$ in Denmark 🥴🥴
@@Crazohz That is affordable tho considering for a while a display like this would be $1k+. It's definitely not the price for me (VA is a deal-breaker) but it tells me in a year or two I will be able to own an ultra-wide high refresh rate display

Watching this on my own AOC CU34. This is an amazing monitor for the price. Granted, it's my first 144hz monitor, but it's awesome. The colors are great and I'm happy to have the extra real estate 3440x1440 offers.
What graphics card are you running it on ? and have you noticed any ghosting/ink smearing while gaming ?

I got one the last time it came off backorder on Amazon. Couldn't be happier! Even my friend with an older $1100 Alienware was a little jealous. Another friend bought one just on seeing pictures of mine. It's fantastic!!

I saw this last week at Yodabashi Camera and I have been thinking about buying one. Thanks, Frank P
There's a driver u can download for AOC monitors where u can change the monitor settings. Also u can, as this guy also noticed in the video, change the rgb colors yourself. Another tip, tune some settings in the Nvidia and/or Amd settings! ^^
I bought the 100hz version last week for £369 which wasn't too bad I think. It's a great monitor and easily on par, actually slightly better than my MSI Optix 34inch
I just ordered the CU34G2 (non x variant, only 100hz) like 2 hours ago!
Where did you buy it?!
Is the only difference the refresh rate or is it maybe like the one with the issues he mentioned in the video?

Thanks for the review! I been looking for a new monitor for a while cos mine is really washed out and slow (100 hz max) so this 120% rgb 144hz panel would be a really nice bump up especially at this price! found it for 450 pounds and it's on it's way to me now hahaha
RFP's definition of wildly affordable is my definition of rich
its wildly affordable in terms of other monitors that offer the same features. A 3440 by 1440p 144hz 34 inch curved ultrawide monitor usually starts at around $700. So, incomparison, much cheaper and affordable.

Hey, RandomFrankP, any chance you might review the Lenovo G34W-10 soon? It's a very similarly specced monitor (I believe it's the same panel) from Feb. in the same sub-$500 price range, and it seems to be super unheard of. I've been on the fence about this AOC and the Lenovo for some time now. Thanks!
I have a question and am hoping you may be able to help. I am running two monitors for gaming. 3440x1440 120hz and a 1920x1080 240hz. Some game I like playing on the UW others on my 240hz panel such as Esports stuff. Is there a way to make certain games start up using the correct monitor I want or is the only way to make them boot into it is by setting it up as primary display before launching the game? Advise!!!
"wildly affordable" -_- I accidentally broke my 144hz a couple days ago so that title was a big grab for me lmao

Honestly, I didn't watch the video to the end. But I can vouch for the fact that AOC monitors are underrated. I have the AOC 22V2H and it has such thin bezels and pretty good specs. And for $100 the only complaint I have is that it's 75Hz and not 144

Yes when this came out it was incredible what you got for the money. It was extremely affordable compared to competition and now there are even more affordable products with similar specs. That's how technology works. Right now you might not be able to afford a 1440p ultrawide 144hz VA monitor however these monitors will keep becoming more affordable to to the progression of technology until you can afford one.

Would this be better than a dual monitor setup? I’ve been on the fence about ultrawides and mainly been gaming at 1080p on my 144hz Samsung monitor. I have no idea if my GTX 1080 would be able to keep up performance-wise with that bigger of a resolution.
Was considering picking it up, bet there was a lack of reviews. Perfect timing, Frank! Many thanks.

Is 400 better? 300? maybe 50 dollars would best suit you? These are 34 inch 144hz gaming monitors. For 500 dollars at these specs they are in fact affordable. I've had this monitor for a few months now (UK) and I didn't even know half of those settings! But at the moment the only downfall is using G-sync with it. In dark areas of the screen the flickering is just horrible so at the moment I have it off because I can't find a fix or waiting for driver updates!
Can you make a comparison video of which is which the best monitor? A comparison video between AOC 24G2 VS Asus tuf vg 249q
@randomfrankp would you recommend this one over the LG UltraGear 34GN850-B? The difference would be like €539 vs €899.
