  • 27" is good for gaming too. It ALL depends on the distance between you and the monitor. It's the same having a 27" at 70cm distance like a 24" at 40cm distance.

    @e7234@e72345 ай бұрын
    • yes, but not for competitive games cause it's bigger and you have to look in a bigger distance and this is a disadvantage. also 27" is not good for all resolutions. it's good only for 1080p. for 1440p and 4k it's not the recommended. it's meh. it is usable but it's not the ideal. for 1440p the ideal size is 27" and for 4K 32" and above.

      @2dividedby393@2dividedby3934 ай бұрын
    • @@2dividedby393 You don't understand it. The disadvantage that he was probably reffering to is that a greater distance you have to your monitor can cause a problem with noticing small details. That's why most pro gamers are glued to their screen. They want to be as close to the screen as possible but equally they want to see everything and not move eyes too much so choosing 27 is not an option. COMe ON every player who plays competitive knows that!!!!!!

  • Theres a little mistake; a higher colour gamut doesn't necessarily mean higher colour accuracy. It CAN indeed reproduce the colour more accurately, but some might still need to be calibrated, especially lower budget monitor might come out of the factory with a colour shift toward either red, green or blue. Delta E is the measure used to represent the monitor's colour accuracy.

    @Will-0101@Will-01015 ай бұрын
    • Indeed, higher color gamut means the monitor can reproduce more colors, it’s not a variable related to accuracy

      @valentinaman2257@valentinaman22575 ай бұрын

  • The whole pixel density vs. monitor size spiel is based on view distance. You don't want a monitor too close or else you suffer parallax issues (your left and right eyes see the monitor from sufficiently different angles to cause discomfort and dizziness). Otherwise, it's up to personal preference.

Two monitors might have the same specs but one of the two is cheaper bc it has a lower life cycle. Which actually makes it more expensive. But consumers are often not aware of that. keep it mind. just an advice

I still use a NEC 17'' from 2001 for troubleshooting. How do we even address this? With SSDs and PSUs its easy (SLC and Gold 10 year standards respectively). But for monitors?

Also significant, IPS is the best decision for gamers because of fast movement in games. Here it is important to use correct settings in the monitor, you can make big mistakes, which leads to a lot of bad ratings on Amazon for example. • Been slowly building my dream set up and my next step was getting a good monitor! I really wasn't sure where to start and looking at articles n stuff just wasn't explaining it well enough so im incredibly glad I came across this video!! the examples you gave were so incredibly helpful as I'm a graphic designer and video editor and most of the time these kinds of videos are geared to gamers exclusively so this was a great insight!! thank you very much :D
