I have this model, and I have to saay, it's amazing. You guys need to keep in mind that these reviews always compare to the best of the best when they say things like, "response times are not the best", or "it's overall an okay display". Sure, if you are used to seeing the best of the best displays you might catch some faults, but upgrading from an older display I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. Additionally I haven't noticed any smearing yet while gaming. Would recommend.
It is fine, for me especially great for gaming, although I have the 100hz version, but my videocard (rx 5700) wouldn't be able to produce more than 100 fps in the two games I play anyway.
Thank you, needed to hear that. :) And yes, I think it's true. Watched many reviews of things before but in the end they turned out better than expected.
HI BRO is this still working after 2yrs of using?? no issues??
If you can't see the smearing, I have many questions. I have this monitor and love it but the smearing cannot be denied.
@@a_single_white_female Can you run 1440p and 144hz at the same time? I can't get mine past 1080p 120hz or 1440p 60hz. There is no option of 1440p+144hz in the G-menu app.

I recently snagged this monitor as my jump to wide screen. So far I love it. Pro tip down load the software app to change monitor settings this makes changing the settings so much easier. Leave the “HDR” off, shadows to 50, brightness 80-90, and contrast 40-50. Slight flickering on loading in some game menus

I LOVE THESE DETAILED REVIEWS. Seriously, it's so great to get real specs from you, and not just the spec sheet read out loud.
I've only recently found your channel, and I am loving how detailed all your reviews are. Keep up the awesome work!!
I was just looking at this! This is perfect for my use and price class, I need this
I've had this monitor for several months now and I am 100% happy with it. It replaced an Acer Z35P, and the color and contrast are hands down better. The only thing the Z35P was better at was response time, but even then I'm nitpicking. The CU34G2X is worth every penny, especially considering I spent about half as much on it as the Z35P.
I’ve had this for 2 months now. Amazing monitor.
still good?
Really happy with my purchase of this monitor it's really solid and I'm much happier with it than than when I had mismatched 1440p and 1080p displays side by side.
Thank you Tim. I wrote a comment a few days ago - don't expect your review here is because of that, but this is more or less excatly what I requested! And thanks for the great content in general!
Had it for a few months now, coming from dual 24' this is the best to work so much space, pretty good for gaming too
Damnit now the prices might go up, been saving up for this for 6 months. Super happy to see a review though
I bought one on June mainly for productivity and I'm pretty happy with gaming too! I don't have any backlight bleed on my unit either, I found the colors really good out of the box and it's actually pretty smooth on FPS games. I'm really happy with my purchase so far!
liar. it's awful admit it
Put an order in for this exact monitor almost two weeks ago. Now just awaiting stock here in Perth to arrive. Thanks for the review. It's exactly what I expect, a good value option for those on a budget. No way am I going to spend so much more for an IPS monitor.

I bought this since I've been trying to upgrade my pc gradually. Works really good for sim racing. I'm not a competitive gamer, so noticing small things isn't really a concern for me. The screen is a little dark but you can turn that up in games. I'd say it's a great buy
The darkness is my only issue with AOC monitors. Otherwise they usually slap
Thanks for review! Been asking for it recently! I have this monitor for a month now, really loving it. Really wish to see your color calibration settings :(

Any chance at a MSI Optix MAG321CQR 32 review? I am curious how it stacks up against the other 32's you have reviewed
I own several AOC gaming monitors - 144hz ones- the display controls are fiddly but once set up correctly these monitors offer very good performance for the money. I have a 32inch curved and a 27inch 144hz version of these, the 32inch is just awesome (unfortunately they stopped the particular model I have). Sturdy stand, great curvature and all support freesync. The gamma profiles are a bit off but once adjusted they are pretty good.
Outstanding review. Thank you.

Bought this monitor a few weeks ago after my 27" 4k monitor developed some issues. Yes there's some black smearing but overall very happy with this. Moving from 60hz to 144hz is great and the sheer size of the panel makes game really immersive. Could it be better? Yes but I currently can't afford or justify spending £1000+ on a monitor. @@TheGauges420 I completely agree. And the difference between 240 and 360 will be very small. Even smaller than switching from 144 to 240. At least we get better response times and latency. Overall probably not worth buying.

I have it and I actually have to run at at 100hz because my Radeon 5700 XT keeps its vram clock constantly cranked up if I increase the refresh more than that. This is actually a known issue and common to all 5700 XT cards driving this resolution at over 100hz.
I'd actually like to see you analyze and test Xiaomi 34" Ultrawide considering its cheaper and has same specs on paper.

@@petermatas9510 I notice it very much around dawn in Rust. It looks a lot a lot redder than my previous monitor, this is fixable though I think with calibration. Ghosting only very noticeable in dark backgrounds, especially when the foreground is very bright, e.g. KZhead comments in dark mode. Very happy with the purchase though, enjoying the resolution upgrade and of course the money saved. Sold my Z35 to get the Xiaomi and had $200 left to fund a new GPU. Def a win in my book.

The new BOE panels (flat IPS 144Hz 3440x1440 34") in monitors like the iiyama GB3461WQSU and acer XV340CKP, which are available for ~£/$ 400 in their respective regions, pretty much made all budget VA ultrawides obsolete for gaming IMO, unless you really must have a curve. Great response times, no VA adaptive sync flickering issues, 100% sRGB and great price for the specs.
