  • This man is incredible! He is the best comedian I have ever heard! It always seems to be completely natural, no rehearsel! I am South African in Cape Town and I just love, love listening to him. Periodically I have to pause as I'm laughing too much, and I don't want to miss the next joke!

    • @@thepatternologistNo it wasn’t set up, but I can see why it looked that way. This was the set he was doing at the time (I saw many of them) and he was just working his way around to the ‘Scottish’ gags bit when the guy piped up. It was fortunate timing and made it look particularly spontaneous. Brilliantly well handled and funny in any case. Michael is a first class talent and I’m lucky enough to be booked to see him again in 2024 :)

The second book is called ‘A Funny Life’. Worth looking up on audible too as it’s even better when Michael is reading it…plus he’s added a few extra bits :)

  • Not fond of his disabled parking bit. As a disabled person myself who sometimes has good days and can go in the supermarket, I have had people question me to my face whether that spot is justified for me. I have to tell them that they won’t even see me on a bad day because I can’t leave the house, sometimes I can’t leave the bed. On good days, I park in the disabled spots because sometimes my good day disappears while I’m still in the freezer section. And I still have to scan the groceries and pay and I do not have it in me to walk to the car further than the disabled spots. Plus my doctor and the state agree with me and thus I have a permit. Please remember you are almost always seeing a disabled person on their good day. Use some compassion and trust that they know the limits of their body and have chosen the spot that will help them get through their chore as best as possible. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. 👏 👩🏻‍🦽 😁

    • Its not michaels fault -- he's just pointing out observations. people should know that the disabled badge holder doesnt have to be the one driving -- they dont even have to be in the car. An able bodied person is allowed to park in the disabled bays if they are picking up the badgeholder in the registered car

    • 100%, I had a woman walk behind my car whilst it was still moving to tap on my window and started abusing me about parking in a disabled space because she didn't think a young person (who has a disability by the way) should be parking there.
