one of the most fun players to watch ever
Agreed, loved watching him when I was young
Totally agree, Chris Johnson was a stud when he was in the NFL.
@@eaqx loll
@@eaqx somebody has to do it 🤷♂️
Highlight Heaven gets it ☝️
Incoming casuals commenting “he only had one good season” all 1k season in tenesse plus a great 1 year stint with the cards. HAVE A CAREER CJ2k love you brother.
he only had one good season
@@casual5282 😂
Most rushing tds over 60 yards 😎
Went for 2500 one season
You were the only person saying that
He’s got breaking away from the cop speed Good lord I love Gus Johnson 😂😂
I loved that line when it was in madden 12
@@icetray2727 It was? Lol that's wild
@@icetray2727 best madden ever
And he got fired for that statement after the game🤦🏻♂️

Personally my favorite running back of all time. Such a legend, should definitely make it to the hall of fame. Everybody’s hands go up! E-C-U!
It always amazes me how it never looks like CJ was trying. He was outrunning every other player in the league, juking and changing direction like nobody else, and it looks like he was just out for a Sunday stroll in the park
Fr the fastest running back ever
His jukes were quick AF. It's not herky jerky, clean and has balance.
Him and Jamal Charles are my favorite RBs ever! Great careers for both of them
and Cadillac Williams before injury.....
Lesean mccoy was different too
lol. Exact same with me. I'll be the first to admit theres many better running backs but he's still my favorite.I actually bought both a Charles jersey shirt and I got an actual Chris Johnson jersey this week.
No offense to Jamaal Charles. Good back. But he doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as CJ2k. Man was elite.
YESSSSSSSS
Earl Campbell, Eddie George, Chris Johnson, and now Derek Henry. This franchise has definitely had some backs
And all will be HOF'ers also
And now we got Adrian Peterson
@@jaredw5626 that didn’t last long
@@d2cardboardnovice169 lmao
I was hoping lendale white would pan out too but he didn’t
Titans got some legendary running backs man!!! Chris is the speedster but he had a Lil power too
Chris Johnson is probably the best titans rb the only argument is Earl Campbell
@@wipe919 only??
@@KJ3. I mean who else? You better not say Eddie George
@@wipe919 derrick henry definitely has an argument
@@KJ3. oh I was just talking about past players, but Henry it's way too early to say him but he will end up being the best if he's nit dealing with injuries
Gus Johnson commentating primetime Chris Johnson is just the Goat.
Facts
bro was a beast especially tha way he changed directions so effortlessly
That's how it is when you're from Florida
That cut on 4 and inches vs the Steelers was elite
It wasn't just his speed, his instinct and balance were second to none
CJ’s ability to read kinetic energy of the defense and react accordingly is legendary
Can we just stop and appreciate how quickly he hit the holes and has great vision !!!!!!
i remember being in high school watching his greatness. i miss the mid to late 2000s nfl
Early to mid was better. 2000-2015
HE NEEDS TO BE IN THE HOF . SUCH A HUMBLE GUY AS WELL 55 TD , 9651 CRYRDA rushed 2163 yards in a year in a game......20 att......220 yards
I like Chris Johnson, he's my Favorite Running Back. When I become a American Football player, I will be Running Back. You looking at the next Chris Johnson 2.0.
Be the first Bryson Hardy not rhe next CJ
@@cameronlee1409 You were right, I'll be the First Bryson Hardy in Major League Football when I become a Running Back.
That’s right it’s always good to emulate the greats ….. that’s how you stay humble and A student! Never become bigger than your influences! Stay a student it will get you further in life!
For a guy that wasn't that muscular or big. He did last longer than a lot of guys would have his size.
It's not like he was small, he just wasn't as big as the others that you're used to seeing.
He had enough speed to avoid hits and get out of bounds I guess 😂
Nah he was a pretty swole dude he came to one of my jamboree games a long time ago and he looked like he could play safety
@@calealexander7290 people don't know what they're watching lol
Niggas could barely touch him😭
These plays are made even better by Gus Johnson’s commentary
It’s funny because when he was a commentator during the time people couldn’t stand Gus’ commentary. It was always viewed as over the top. I thought it was perfect
One of my favorite running backs of all time! He was that dude! 💪🏾
Ravens still dirty for rolling this man’s ankle in that divisional game… That changed up the entire complexion of the game
Fax was gone co crazy if he ain’t get injured

One of the Greatest players of all time 🐐
“Watch out he’s got gettin away from the cops speed!”
7:04 - I love this -- he's not even to the line of scrimmage yet but the announcer says "See ya." He knows.
Dat boi had dat pure Florida speed🔥🔥🔥. One of the fastest players to ever reach the NFL. Once he got in front of you it was no catching him. Only real ones know how unstoppable bruh was back in the day on the old Maddens in his prime💯.
If you call his best 100m time 10.66, which ranks 85th all time, one of the fastest players to reach the NFL. Then I guess he is.
@@sydboski he's talking about his 40. 3rd fastest ever.
@@rayhankazianga6817 The 40 doesn't measure how fast the fastest players can run. It only measures quickness and partial acceleration because the fastest players do not reach top speed til about 50m out. They are still accelerating at the 40 yd mark. So the 40 cannot possibly determine who is the fastest when they aren't even running their fastest. And 4.24 is officially tied for the second quickest 40 with Rondell Menendez. Trindon Holliday's 4.21 is not official.
@@sydboski A baylor player ran an official 4.23 in the 2022 combine. I'd also say that acceleration and quickness is more important in football than raw speed.
@@rayhankazianga6817 Ok Kalon Barnes did run 4.23. So CJ is tied for 3rd quickest since 1999. Who says this is about playing football? The man said he was one of the "fastest" players to reach the NFL. There is no indication he was referring to ppl laying football.
Draw play on 3rd and 11 from their own 7 yard line and he took it to the crib 😂😂😂 the cut back on that play was also ridiculous
“He so fast he make fast people look not fast”
So what do the people who were faster than him look like?
One my favorite players, I swear.
Diehard Titans fan since we was Tennessee Oilers. This was most fun time to be a Titans fan. Hasn't been the same since this team broke apart.
what a time to be alive. me being a die hard vikings fan, my brother being a die hard titans fan. we both got to see 2 of the best running backs the game has ever seen. AD x CJ2k
Wish we had Chris back again. Chris Johnson and Derrick Henry would've been a nice combination
I remember watching Chris Johnson playing he had that get away from the cop speed and he was so fun to use on madden 12 one of my favorite player to watch good old days 🥲
Most definitely a NFL legend one of the greatest to do it From scrimmage 2,000 yards plus. He with the Marshall Faulk, Barry sanders, Terrell Davis. He is number 6 on that list no one has been after him yet.
He is #7 of 8 players who had 2000 yds in a season. The player behind him is OJ who did it first and in only 14 games.
I never really realized how good he was at changing speeds and following his blockers. Awesome running back
I really enjoyed watching him during his college days at East Carolina.
I am a die hard Saints fan, but also a football fan. CJ was freaking electric. I’d take his 2008-2010 years over any RB at the time. His quickness and acceleration was on a different level. Plus he could break tackles. He needs to be in the HOF.
I'm Aussie and know nothin of NFL except that 10 years ago I randomly played a madden game for the first time and this guy was OP. Beast to watch
CJ2K is the most fun player to watch ever in my opinion!
I always hated when people only talked about his speed. I believe a lot of his other skills went overlooked because everyone focused on his pure speed. He was a very good all-around RB. The speed was just icing on the cake. He would've been a starting NFL RB with 4.45 speed.
The footwork he had was insane those first 3 years nobody could touch him
Let’s gooooo! Favorite RB!
Titian’s can always draft great running backs
Chris Johnson is one of my fav running backs of all time so shifty and fast He was a really good running back so explosive
Majestic runner. Poetry in motion.
He's a sure legend
he is one of the best
When he would get out in open space he almost made it seem like the field was bigger than it actually was. He was gliding and the defenders couldn't commit to any one direction because he was so fluid he could easily change direction without losing any momentum.
CJ2K!! Was like watching a video game out there, Titans also did a great job blocking!
I've never seen someone find the seam and explode through a hole like that before. Jesus.
Man he was next level
Chris Johnson got yards I can’t even get on madden 😂😂😂 damn what a player
Favorite madden back all time
that combo with him and lendale white, thunder and lightning was amazing to watch ... wish it lasted longer
"You could slow it down. He was still fast." My favorite NFL soundbite. He said it so hood it was perfect for CJ lmao
This guy was fast and can be tough to stop if you don’t get him
Playing with him on madden on the psp was the best
Thanks for the video NFL Throwback! Does anybody happen to know any brawls that occurred between the 1975-2008 NFL seasons?
Andre Johnson vs cortian finnigan was a good one I think 2008
@@d2cardboardnovice169 Yeah I remember that fight, definitely one of the best 1v1’s we’ve had in the NFL.
I don't wanna get too far ahead of myself here, but... Jahmyr Gibbs is doing a damn good CJ2K impression. We'll see what year 2 looks like.
Randy Moss and Chris Johnson are the fastest players in the NFL ever with or without equipment on. They had a burst that couldn't be registered
Ummm.....No. I can name at least 50 players who would smoke both of them in a goal line to goal line race.
He’s a runner he’s a track starrrr ! Oooh ooh ooh oooooh
Rookie year he was a Beast !!!
Remember that 09 season like it was yesterday. Once he saw daylight, he was outta there🏈💪🏟️
Chris johnson, Maurice jones-drew and AP were my childhood idols man. I still don't think anyone has been as fast on the field as CJ2k since not even cheetah
You cannot give Chris Johnson an inch, especially 2009 Chris Johnson. His first 4-5 years in the league, grossly underrated at the position.
Autodrafted CJ2k in 2009, round 12 or whatever, waived him b4 season started bcuz i didn't kno who he was. The next year autodrafted Arian Foster also in round 12, he then ran for 2k yards and i also waived him b4 season started.
Fav RB all time
16:01 that's amazing play all the way around. None selfish. Hardworking. Rewarded.
I think it’s cool how he evolved. in the beginning he mostly just ran past people, but as he got slower he had to use more finesse
My favorite player of all time over every running back even Emma Smith like I said my favorite player of all-time cj2k
Won me a fantasy ring in 09. He was a god for about 3 years
Chris Johnson looked so cool doing it too.
Man, I needed the reminder that Gus Johnson commentating a Titans game was must-see television
I wonder when they will make Marvin Harrison's Hof highlights
4:05 the speed change is tight hes like waiting waiting then bam haha
Man imagine Cj2k against some of today’s defense he’d have over 3000 yards
I don’t totally disagree, but the NFL today has such a focus on speed on defense. You need blown assignments to have these long runs because the speed linebackers, corners and safeties play at now the blocking doesn’t have a chance to develop downfield.
@@cusefan5510 exactly the nfl wasn’t designed for a back of cjs magnitude back then but dbs are the fastest players on the field today cj changed the game which is why he wouldn’t do good today that’s why there no scat backs like him anymore
@@d2cardboardnovice169 exactly. Look at the linebackers in the video. They’re slow, they were meant to come down hill and stop the run, they also didn’t need the coverage skills LBs need today. It’s why Johnson and Jamal Charles light the league on fire. They were just faster, and it reflected a ton in how drafting defensive changed after this. Speed became everything.
@@d2cardboardnovice169 I agree, but you also have guys like tyreek hill who are breaking the game again with speed, just at a different position.
@@d2cardboardnovice169 if they can’t catch tyreke hill then they can’t catch cj2k
Best tackle breaker ever and best at angle burning. Amazing. Definite Hall of Famer. First ballot
Oh Gus you're the best. SPEEEEEED!!!
Awesome
Some of the angles he out ran are ABSURD
The guys he was out running were no speed demons.
HES GOT RUNAWAY FROM THE COPS SPEED is one of the best calls ever don't get it twisted
“HE’S GOT “GETTIN’ AWAY FROM THE COPS” SPEED!”
I miss him and Vince in the backfield man. Wish he had stayed out of trouble. No telling what the could’ve accomplished together!
Especially Vince Young who had cam newton ability
Johnson you run up and down the field at will 😮🏈🏃!!!!!!!!
For being 200 pounds the amount of touches he got in a two year stretch 2009/2010 was unbelievable. So much wear and tear it was inevitable he would slow down a little
Imagine that Chris and Lamar Duo
Earl Campbell, Eddie George, Chris Johnson, Demarco Murray, Derrick Henry. Tennessee running backs are special.
My favorite rb ever and i traded for him every year on madden
Nobody ever talks about him, Priest, Robert Smith etc
He was not appreciated and was underrated at the end of his career
I wish he played in the social media era.
8:22 that crack back was crazy
Hopefully next we can get Bruce Smith or John Randle career highlights
Amazin
❤️HOF❤
Chris Johnson or C.J.!!! He was one of the fastest running backs in NFL history when he ran for 2,006 rushing yards in 2009.
If one of means top 20, then yes.
Fastest player I’ve ever seen in my life. Perhaps Tyreek is faster and it’s just nostalgia, but I’ve never seen someone so quick and elusive.
I guess you've never seen Barry Sanders, or Devin Hester. Plus there are plenty of players who would smoke Johnson in a 100m.
Taunting l Troy polamalu is crazy 😂
That man CJ2k was a cheat code on titans
Chris Johnson, 2008-2017. He's not dead yet 😂.
Beast mode + jets= CJ2K
Bro I want to see him on I Am Athlete podcast
He came up when the running back didn’t sit out for contracts they played cause they knew their shelf life
