I got it, the trucker beat the railroad signal barrier on the one side, but then it came down on the other side so he stopped his truck so he wouldn't damage the barrier or his truck.

True. Plus, driver that got out, grab a fire extinguisher and start to minimize damage. Understandable, could be in a complete shock or did not have one in the first place. Still, other drivers could quickly stop by, grab theirs and start putting fire out. Those things does not cost much, so why not try to help. I just do not comprehend.

In reality, the individual responsible for that accident was the silver car in front of the the guy who 'went bam'...that silver car cut him off (at 7:12 in vid) and 'bam guy' swerved into the other lane to avoid hitting that silver car. Either way, I guess the guy was gonna crash into something. Hopefully, the idiot in the silver car was nailed for his irresponsible driving.
@@jtpaar1732 Unfortunately I suspect the driver of the silver car probably got away scot free. Not disagreeing that "bam guy" would have hit something, but he massively overreacted without being aware of what else was going on around him. Would have been better had he stayed in place: the silver car would have hit him but would have been pit manoeuvred, and "bam guy" would probably have remained in control. Oh well: hopefully nobody seriously hurt at any rate.

The vast majority of incidents involving a motorcycle on KZhead are either the biker's fault, or easily avoidable by the biker. Sadly, a video of a biker not acting like a complete d-bag is boring and wouldn't get views, so what gets posted are all the idiots.

That Biker in the second last clip had a death wish. I ride myself, and as he was absoloutely blinded by the sun, had one hand off to fiddle with his helmet and was giving more and more gas, well I knew he was going to get into an heavy accident. That's what we call a "suicide missile"
I'm a biker too and this guy was on either an Kawasaki EX250, EX300 or EX650 and had shifted into 4th gear out of 6 and was probably doing atleast 65mph with the sun in his eyes. Not sure if he was adjusting his inner or out shield to block the sun just before the crash when he should have done this earlier and not been riding that fast. Judging by the audio, the guy was in pain and if he ever rides again I hope he learns from his mistakes. Ride safe!

Surprisingly they all lived, there is a full video on KZhead somewhere I've seen it before. Complete miracle and luck in my opinion. Imagine being able to walk out of that

PSA You don't have to stop to be helpful in providing video to the authorities. Just contact them when you can and offer to help. Not stopping is often the safer alternative, it's always risky to be stopped on a interstate for example and if folks are already there helping then it may be best to stay out of the way.
Agree. More often than not I drive with kids in the car. I am not risking their lives by stopping on the road.

At about 1 min. in I saw one distracted driver, then I saw about a dozen concerned motorists stop to help. Good people outnumber Idiots.... The clip @ 3 min. no one stops to care...

2:14 This is a perfect example, and I tell my family and others to do this, but if there is a near collision like that KEEP MOVING! I can't tell you how many times I have been in that situation as a passenger and the person stops and sits there and I tell, sometimes admittedly scream, to/at them to go and they say "Oh god, should I?" I tell them "Yeah, unless you want to be in another accident." It's hard for people behind you to stop and that woman had a few seconds to get into the lane beside her and go around the car but to many people want to stop and gawk at the car or an accident.
Not saying that keeping moving isn't the right idea, but it should be easy to stop a car in time from a rear collision unless you are driving to close to stop in time. All rear collisions can be avoided if you give yourself enough space to stop suddenly, its not an unreasonable ask.

Agree. The NHTSA reports that 13 cars out of every 100,000 are involved in a fatal accident, but motorcycles have a fatality rate of 72 per 100,000.

Europe is so fucked up. No one helps, never...so sad... We expirienced troubles with our car and needed just a little push of the road. Not one fucking idiot helped us...this happend in Germany.

One thing that I notice in a lot of wrecks, like the dump truck at 1:45 - they crush everyone in front of them, then they leave the truck parked right up against all of the cars they just crushed, so it's just that much more IMPOSSIBLE to get people out of their cars.

@@tazman5722 It happens, and usually to the most experienced riders. The more experience and skill you have, the more comfortable you become driving under hazardous conditions. Novices would actually be overcautious and perhaps psych themselves out and possibly wreck, when their view is even momentarily obscured. This guy just had a really liberal "comfort zone" and didn't expect the unexpected. This is also why airline pilots with decades of flying experience can make just one seemingly insignificant oversight that kills everyone on the flight. The Challenger Shuttle explosion in '86 was a prime example. Thousands of "uneventful" hours can lull you into a false sense of security, and complacency; it's just human nature.
I feel sorry for his injuries but not sorry for his driving skills.

Unless they had fire extinguishers on board, what could they do? The driver got out the car immediately and by not stopping the other drivers kept the road clear for the fire brigade to get through.

As a bike rider myself you know you shouldn't be speeding at all much less when blinded by the sun. He was not paying attention to he was playing around with his face shield. Hope he recovered. I know he was in a world of pain and hope he learned a painful lesson. Got to respect the bike, other drivers and even mother nature or you'll get yourself hurt or killed.
