30 MIN DUTCH OVEN RECIPE FOR BEGINNERS ON THE CAMPFIRE
Join me for a great 30 minute Dutch Oven dish. This is Chicken with Cauliflower and Broccoli in cream sauce. Delicious, simple and even better cooked over the campfire. I will use the tripod and a hand made trammel to cook right over the campfire. I will bring out some coals right at the end and put them on the lid. You can also do this recipe in the house with your cast iron and oven.

Thanx for being American. I clicked on one video, and now I'm inundated with Aussies.
I tried this in the house, on the stove. My wife didn't like the tripod on the counter and floor. But I advised her, you'd said it was okay to do. 😁
Hilarious. I'm going to have to start filming disclaimers.
Love your videos! Keep ‘em coming! Thank you
I'll definitely try that! Gotta tell ya, my last camping video I made, brought my little Lodge skillet and cooked a New York Strip over a wood stove. Man alive, that was the best steak I've ate! Thanks for all the tips!!!
Always a great job, thanks Scott!
That look amazing and I think I could even try this one. Keep up the great work.
That was fantastic! Super easy and looked tasty! Love your channel!
Excellent work on the tripod. Yummy ingredients. I can smell it cooking through the screen 😋 😃 😊
Watching your videos got me into outdoor cooking !
I might try that, or something similar some day. Thanks.

I try to make the videos interesting and entertaining. Thank you for watching.
I love your videos keep up with the good work. Here in Monticello, Minnesota we have 6+ in's of snow ❄️ with -15 degrees wind chill here so it's darn chili to be outside with 10 to 15 minutes outside you get frostbite I hope you enjoy your warm weather your friend again keep up the good work..👍😃
I love the music in the background
I'll have to make that
Comfort food indeed. Awesome!
Thanks for watching Tim
Thank you, looks easy to make, enjoy the cold while it last, it'll get hot on you all soon enough!! Ordered some seminole swamp seasoning too, hope I like it? Thanks for the video. John T. Off to make hamburger biscuits and gravy.
Thank you very much for that
Love the dog.
Looks great brother! Here in MI., it is about 30 deg. colder than where you're at. The fire keeps freezing (LOL). Thanks, and keep video's coming.
Just made it stovepipe Came out great. Really good comfort food. Thanks. KPS
Make that stovetop.
Damn Scott, it’s colder in Fl than Iowa ! This looks great, I’m just happy you didn’t do chicken and rice ! I need a good heavy tri pod for my Dutch ovens, I have one but I don’t really trust it! Great cook my friend! We did get a new fire pit for the campsite with an adjustable grate !
35⁰? That's balmy in Minnesota. I'm going to have to wait a few months before trying this one. I do look forward to it. March.
BACKWOODS, you have the best cooking videos on KZhead, no doubt! Steve here in Indpls.
Thanks for watching Steve.
Looks pretty cold in Florida, my friend! ☃️🌬
Excellent recipe. Great Training Video. Don't know if I missed it but did you use wood or lump charcoal?
Good to see you again. Haven’t seen you in a while. Don’t know if you’ve been off or I just wasn’t getting your post.
I have been here all along. Check out the channel page for videos you may have missed. Thanks for watching.
Great music too...
My Mother did a variation of this with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom! She did it in a Dutch Oven from stove top to, oven. I Still Have That Dutch Oven! I Use it All the time! My wife Isn't allowed use it! Ha Ha!
I see this meal was Cabela approved!
Looks delicious! Hope y’all are staying warm; too cold for this Florida Boy down here in Seminole County. I don’t mind it as much camping & hunting in the woods. Must be because we eat heartier at camp. Thanks for the video.
Wow!,looks great,I'm gonna buy a Dutch oven and do that!,what was the background music!?,it was awesome!
All of the music in my videos comes from the KZhead Library or Audio Hero. They are all copyright free.
Food looks good. Will be trying it soon ! Like the music. Like the closeups. Closeups are always good. Where did you get that fire ring ? Is it a tub from Tractor Supply or some place like that ?
Tractor supply.
One thumb up won't do it 👍👍👍 This really hit the spot.
Just bought a 20 qt Dutch oven for a natural rock firepit I’ve built this past year. Don’t have a tripod yet for it, as I’m unsure which ones are sturdy enough for a 40lb pot plus ingredients. Any suggestions on who sells a heavy duty one? Can’t wait to fire it up. Thanks for the videos!
First time seeing your video. Your meal looks very yummy, Can you please tell me the name of your tripod and where I can get one. I want to start cooking with open fire. Haven't done that kind of cooking since I was in my 20s. I am retiring in February 2024, I have started urban homestead last year with chickens and just planted my first raised garden garlic bed in October and will be planting more vegetables in the spring. Also, I will be learning how to preserve by canning and dehydrating herb and garden items.
Hope all is well with you and yours. Have you or will you do a unboxing and first cook on the new Lodge Sportsmman cast iron grill?
There is one on the way from Lodge right now.
@@BackwoodsGourmetChannel Right-on brotha. Also, your vacation videos with Mrs. Backwoods were some of yours and hers best works.
👍
Now this oughta be sent as a car package to the Canada Truckers. That would support em where it counts.
Hey buddy I’ve heard you can’t use cast iron on a glass top stove or it will crack it is that true or not we remodeled our house and bought a new one that now glass ?? Love your videos still
I had a glass top at our old house. Used my cast iron all the time. Never had an issue.
I'm coming to your house the next time you cook that.....LOL That looked ready to make and tasty.... Yeah go ahead and tease us by tasting it on camera....LOL By the way nice edit also......
SK, thanks for watching. I'm really enjoying the editing these days.
😁😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍👍
What size a brand is that Dutch oven..
Lodge 12 inch
CAN YOU HELP ME OUT, CANT USE TOXIC CAMBELLS PRODUCTS OR MSG
Make your own cream of chicken without those ingredients. Thanks for watching.
Adds a quarter cup of garlic ‘bout a teaspoon’. 😂
anyone know why my brand new dutch oven got all rusty after the first coocking ????
The only reason that would have happened is if you did not season it. Go back to my channel page for directions on how to do that.
Nothing in description but that's ok
