  • After hearing the injuries you and a few sheep have had from clippers malfunctioning or from the clippers running into something unexpected and making them mess up and cutting sheep and shearer…. I’ve never felt more respect for how you can cut sooo close to the sheeps eyes and keep them safe! 😊❤

  • All I can think about is how happy those sheep are when you get through shearing them. Especially since it's so blasted hot. Seriously, can you just imagine being out in this heat wearing a big fleece blanket wrapped around your body?? 😳 I can picture the sheep doing a happy dance in the field when you are finished. 🐑 😊 I keep repeating this in my comments...please stay hydrated and take extra breaks during this heat wave. We need you to stay healthy and strong! ❤

  • I love how the animals just know instinctively that the noise their hearing isn't going to hurt them it's just going to help them and they lay still so that they can get rid of their winter coat and enjoy some breeze on their skin.

  • You are really an artist (both of you, I assume, although we usually see you doing the shearing). I found your recent video - the one about injuries you have sustained - quite arresting. Although you have mentioned the potential danger of the clippers before, your graphic scars and wounds drove home the point about the potential hazards of your profession. I can never unsee you working the piece of shattered shearer metal out of your face. The idea that you are working with dangerous tools while trying to (wo)manhandle a struggling animal with goopy lanolin all over your hands and trying to spare you and the animal injury gave me a new appreciation for your mastery of your craft. I love to watch someone who has perfected a skill practice that skill, so thank you for the videos. Be careful - both of you!!!

    • @@rog3129 The video isn’t horrible, but it has a few triggering moments. I’m not sure if it was new or older … haven’t gone back to their page to check. It just showed up in my suggestions last week. As I said, it gave me a real appreciation for the skill required for them to do their work, and the risks associated with it.

  • I love the way their eyes seem to bug out after a trim. Like, Oh, hey! There you are! And they stay so calm most of the time. It's gotta be nice to be able to see more clearly and get that hot wool off after the winter. My oldest granddaughter is going into 2nd grade and she has to do a presentation in front of the class this year. She has already informed me that she will be talking about shearing animals because "Katy and Darian have taught her everything she needs to know about it, and it's cool." 😂 I thought you guys would get a kick out of that one. She also said that when she shows clips we have to be careful not to get one of Katy cussing cause her teacher probably wouldn't like it. I laughed my ass off at that one.😂😂😂😂😂

  • You completely amaze me! How you get sheep that carry all that extra weight of wool, and you twirl them around as efficiently as possible. They seem as content as can be while you trim their eyes & they calmly surrender to your care. The boys let you trim around their dingle-berries, & the girls don't mind their belows & behinds clipped w/ those loud clippers...How's all that possible?
