He didn't say he crashed his plane for purpose. He claimed he had an emergency, a flat out lie. He's a liar , and lied for views, he can never be trusted. And for him to laugh at people for watching, shows he's a bully as well.

My dad had a saying that fits Trevor. I am sure most of us heard it at one time or another. "He is not the sharpest tool in the shed. But he is a tool".

Any licensed pilot should be happy to take him as a passenger as long as Trevor is secured in a straitjacket, or in the baggage compartment! Safe flying!

I'm glad the FAA did this (relatively) fast. Sends a message to other attention seekers that don't care for safety. He should've just deleted his video, go away for a few months and learn a lesson in humility, and acknowledge what he did was wrong.
I'm pretty sure that the relevant FAA officials have taken notice of this video. A year (or a decade) from now he might decide to reapply for a license, and find that they are unconvinced that he has reformed. Or perhaps more directly, the other agencies involved are watching this attitude of 'I still got the attention and views' and a "I'm sorry that you are offended" non-apology.
As far as the rapid (rapid for FAA) response, this was an 🚨 emergency revocation 🚨. As far as we know, there hasn’t yet been a hearing on the case and a final decision, which the FAA would publish as a matter of public record. As far as we know, the investigation hasn’t been officially completed. I suspect that we’ll get a final determination in 8 months, the normal FAA time frame. The importance of the current development is that Jacob won’t be flying and putting the public at risk in the air. He will have plenty of opportunities to be a danger to himself or others on the ground, however, so I hope those law enforcement agencies with jurisdiction over the crash are investigating him for his reckless behavior that endangers people.

I must admit I have done dangerous things in the 30 years that I was a pilot but always only after a very comprehensive evaluation of the situation and always in as professional a manner as possible. People with such an unprofessional and infantile approach to aviation have no right at all to be in our skies endangering the lives of others. My view is that unless his attitude improves dramatically he has no right to ever be allowed to hold a pilots license again

Hi Denys. So good too see you laugh..😊😊 I agree with you 100%. This dude needs a lifetime ban. As bad as his stunt was, as you said, this plane could have fallen on a school, hospital or come crashing through someones roof. Trevor looks to be in his mid 30s but has the maturity of a teenager thinking something like this is even remotely funny, & again, I agree with you Denys, there's something psychologicaly wrong with him.
He got off so lightly and still appears slightly annoyed about it. Nearly spit up my tea laughing about the parachute 😂😂😂

He is allowed to reapply after that time though I doubt he would ever get approved. But someone with such careless disregard should never get the license back.
@@AbigailBGnath - the FAA has not finished the investigations, nor issues a final report. The revocation is just to get him out of the air ASAP in the meantime. It could be that a stricter penalty is applied later... plus that FAA determination then allows the other Agencies to commence action.

Throughout this whole thing, I've been watching only reactions to his videos. I just don't want to give him any more views... But from what I've seen... I do not trust him one bit. If that letter at the end is real, that is disappointing. If it were up to me, sure, there's nothing stopping him from being a passenger on a plane, but only on a bigger plane, not a small plane like that. He can be a passenger on a commercial flight. He can be a passenger on a small plane where he sits in the back. But if it's a plane where, as a "passenger" he will be sitting on a seat with access to the controls, no way. Add to that, this pilot with him is his friend? Is this his plane or his friend's plane? Who's to prevent his friend from allowing him to take the controls when no one can see? If this setup is ever allowed, the pilot with him should be someone completely unattached to him. Also, the way he's acting, I don't find it funny at all. You are way too kind. I see it as him thinking himself very clever, holding up a middle finger right in front of our faces, and laughing all the way to the bank. This is one those cases where someone does something irresponsible and when they're called out, they say "it's just a prank". Sadly, it seems he'll be getting off with just a slap on the wrist. 10 months goes by quickly and means nothing to him.

With his attitudes, his medical should also be revoked! Something is wrong with his mindset. The FAA should investigate if the plane wich was used to deliver the letter to the post office is officially approved to be flowen from the PIC from right seat.

Pilot Blog, I'm not clear on the legalities of this but my understanding was that a person without a pilot license isn't allowed to be Pilot In Command on aircraft (not including ultralights) but that doesn't necessarily forbid them to take the controls while another person is pilot in command. A student pilot can fly with another person as pilot in command but maybe, legally, a person who isn't even a student can take control while another person is pilot in command? That was my understanding of how things work in the USA but I'm not an expert (and furthermore I don't know how that applies to a person whose license was actually revoked)

I think that the "letter" from the FAA reducing the suspension to 10 months is a fake that he wrote and presented on his video. That "letter" does not match the form and appearance of letters I have received from the FAA.
By FAA laws he cannot be in command dual or solo, but he can easily control the plane while another person who holds FAA PPL is next to him, unless they noted specifically that part, don't think he can log the time either.
He should just be glad the plane didn't cause a wildfire or hit somebody on the ground who happened to be walking or camping at the time (stranger things have happened). Can't stand people like him. And as for that email... "Lowing"?? Doesn't inspire confidence in the FAA if they can't even spell.
He also is flying from Lompoc Airport to Lompoc Post Office which is a 2.6 mile drive by car. LOL

If I was the pilot seated next to Trevor, I'd have messed around with the 'big red knob', and "leaned out" the mixture a bit too much.... "where's your chute when you need it"?? Or, maybe pull a "Crocodile Dundee", when Trevor displayed his newly minted PPL, I'd whip out my Airline Pilot Transport License (hasn't been current for over a decade), and say "that ain't no license", now this is a license.
He doesn't have the maturity or intelligence to be allowed to fly. I'm amazed he still has friends. Coming from him I don't trust that letter stating his license is revoked for just 10 months. He's the King of Cringe.

Until a few months ago I didn't even know whether he exists or not. Later Juan Brown on Blancolirio, Petter on Mentour Now and you started to rant on him for this reckless and stupid "stunt" (madness). Your approach is completely okay and worthy, but you all made him even more known. In this way not only his "small" followers' group knows about him but even the followers of you, of Juan Brown, of Petter Hörnfeldt. He has the limelight he was going for. This man is a joke, a simple and less than clever jester who surely did the whole thing to achieve even more clicks, screen time, visitors and followers and I am almost sure that the number of his followers increased after all this bloody stupid craziness. I do disagree about the concern over him flying with others. This concern is the case with any passenger. We don't have CCTV in place to make sure some dad pilot doesn't give his kid he takes up controls. The control there is that if it's discovered, probably by anything going badly wrong, there will be consequences for the person responsible with the license and plane. I also think he's still facing legal issues from other sources which is why he's put this video up to try to sell merchandise. With the FAA saying on record that this was intentional I think that might get the ball rolling with the state of CA and possibly other enforcement arms. And even if this is all that happens I think he's going to be in for a rude awakening if he decides to reapply for his certificate. Here's a specific quote from the regulations, "Reexamination. FAA personnel have authority to reexamine airman certificate holders under 49 U.S.C. § 44709(a) when they have a reasonable basis to question whether an airman is qualified to hold a certificate or rating. Reexamination is not appropriate if circumstances show that an airman is not qualified due to a lack of care, judgment, or responsibility to hold a certificate or rating. Rather, in those circumstances, the FAA takes legal enforcement action to revoke the airman’s certificate or rating." And that's what the FAA has done, legally revoked his certification exactly due to him demonstrating a lack of care, judgement or responsibility. And I'm pretty sure that will get him denied for recertification for a very long time.
In my opinion, there are so many aspiring pilots or aviators who wants to have a pilot's license on their future, or even an aircraft type rating. He is just wasting precious time, skills, and effort on getting a private pilot license from the aviation authorities.
Right away they like to use the word haters, just because someone doesn't agree with them or thinks they are stupid. Sounds like someone in the FAA likes him. Keep on this.
I really hope this “email“ from FAA is a joke or they just agreed to giving him the license back in 10 months because they already know he'd be in jail by that time.. It's just unbelievable that we could see this jerk in a cockpit again while a responsible captain like you have to sit down and wait what the future will have for you..

Out of curiosity....I am in Canada and I want to fly to Mexico. I get my license in Canada with the Canadian version of the FAA (I have no idea what that is). For me to go to Mexico from Canada....I have to fly through US airspace. There are flights that go direct from Canada to Mexico. Let's say I am using whatever plane that can get me to Mexico non-stop. Situation A: I fly directly from Canada to Mexico, not landing in the USA, just go through it's airspace. Situation B: I fly Toronto (Canada) to Dallas (TX, USA), then to Mexico City. Do I need in addition to my Canadian license........an American/Mexico license in either situation?
You need the license of the country of your airplane registration. You can fly it all around the world without any issues…

i still think his plane was rigged up with RC controller and servos because it very much looked like it was being controlled on its way down, banking then going straight then banking again, twitching in its bank like its being controlled by servos. my theory is they had another plane in the air with someone with remote control over the plane that crashed

It crashed into dry bushes, could easily have started a forest fire. The conditions for gliding to your landing site( pilots always have to know where they should land if they suddenly have to, at any time)were excellent, sunny day, good visibility, and a lot of altitude.
Wasn't part of the controversy that he did just that before the FAA could investigate?
I hope he will get lot more trouble than 'only loosing' his license. That POS will even start making money on this...
