I can just see myself telling my kids in 30 years, “Yeah that’s Aaron Rodgers he was one of the best quarterbacks I’ve ever seen play”
Foreal he deserves to be on here instead of the packers
“..not as good as Brady though, but Tom played until he was 50 and his brain turned to pudding.”
@@mbabaneamputee7725 Brady is more successful than Rodgers, but Rodgers is way more skilled than Brady.
@Mike Smith omg first off the bucs defenders were holding adams when he threw it which mean he could have caught it if they weren’t. Second Rodgers stats in that game were way better than Brady’s, and even more so than mahomes. Skill dosent have to do with wins but your natural talent. Rodgers makes percussion throws Brady couldn’t dream of.
@Mike Smith LMAOO I didn’t even realize I put that I mean precision.
Good to see Aaron get Jared Goff on the show.
Beta Ryan Gostling
This was his best episode so far!! He’s getting more confident and showing his personality more. Love to see it!
He sounds like a high school coach who is asked to come in and proctor an exam on his off day
@Katarina G trebek wasn’t super excited. He was collected and calm with a smooth voice. Jeopardy isn’t supposed to be a hype show. I think Aaron is doing fine.
@Mike Smith I think it takes time to develop rapport and timing as well. He’ll get that as we go along.
@Mike Smith if they're smart they throw a lot of money at rodgers. He's a celebrity and will bring in way more views
I totally agree with you ❗️ 💯
I haven't watched Jeopardy in over a decade, until Alex's final episode, but Aaron just has a "classic" comfort vibe to him that Alex had in his younger days; blend with charisma and personality. I'd absolutely start re-watching regularly, if Aaron had the permanent gig. He's an absolute natural at this.
ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON
I don't want to bash on Aaron, but am I watching a different show? He's subdued and has a bad case of monotone.
@Mike Smith you an overly obsessed bears fan replying to every positive Rodgers comment?
I think this was Aaron's best game of the 3. He's getting better with each day. That is a positive sign for a potential long-term host. Remember the critics knocked Alex's speaking style in his first season. Well....we all see how that turned out. I think Aaron has very high potential with this gig.
I'm pretty sure as Jeopardy Host he'd be doing just fine. They could potentially give him a big fat bonus as well. Plus, he could do this for years to come.
😆.. Ooops i commented on the wrong post.
It takes a few games to calm the nerves, and get the rhythm. There are still a few flat spots after right answers, and he did mispronounce "Ro-deo", but I like the job he is doing. He has a very mellow voice, and how fitting, the 3-day champ is a fellow Cal Bear, Brandon Deutsch.
The critics back 37 years ago, in TV Guide, when Trebeck was a no name. It’s way different. You can’t compare the two. One was a no name dude at the time. The other is a huge NFL superstar at the time. I understand what you’re saying. But that comparison is kinda off.
I don't think Aaron Rogers is doing this with the hopes of becoming the host full time; I think it's just for fun.
Aaron was fantastic.
He did an awesome job!
Aaron Rodgers: Pencils down...😂
Aaron rocks!!!
No one will ever be as great as Alex, but Aaron Rogers feels like his true successor.
Your comment didn't age well.
Just give Aaron the job! He's doing a great job!
Does he want it full time though? He’s got a pretty big gig elsewhere that he may want to keep for another 2-5 years
@@TheAhamm94 He did the math, he can do both.
@@TheAhamm94 he said he wants to do it full time. Dudes a god at football and this so he’ll be fine.
This was epic, Aaron made it even more epic. Aaron brings a grand sense to this game
Aaron! i'm so impressed... you're a natural.. be yourself.. it's working lol
I couldn't think of anything past BIG 🤣
Rodgers is my favorite quarter back for the Green Bay packers I would love to go to Lambeau field to see Rodgers play but hope to go to arrow head stadium in Kansas City Missouri to see Aaron Rodgers vs Patrick mahomes play In week 17 of the NFL but Lambeau field was on my late dads bucket list get to see a packers game and experience a lambeau leap will be great miss you dad R.I.P dad 1-31-1950-7-7-2020 miss you a lot dad
we need more Aaron
Atta boy Aaron! Killin it!
He needs to be the full time host... full stop, can't see anyone better doing this. Plus he's friggin good lookin
We haven’t had a 3 time champ in a while
Yup! John Focht was the most recent 3 time champ, about 2 months ago. Brandon broke the curse
Rodgers was built for this. I thought it was throwing footballs, but this might be it.
Imagine a show with Aaron as the host, Brady, Peyton, Brees as the contestants 😀 🔥
Interesting to learn about this.
Is it just me, or does the winner look like the love child of Matthew McConnaughey and Owen Wilson? Just saying🤗
Aaron and Ken are definitely the frontrunners. I just checked out a Couric episode and she seems fine as well, though one would think that a retired Football player and someone who basically made a career out of being a Jeopardy champion would have more time to devote to the show, as Alex did.
Rodgers is not yet retired. I’m not sure how much longer his Packers contract runs, but he’d be giving up *loads* if he bailed out prematurely (not that money’s everything 😁). SO I’d have to go TEAM COURIC as I’m not a Jennings fan. I’d love to see a “professional intellectual” like Neil deGrasse Tyson host Jeopardy, but I’m guessing he’s too busy actually saving the universe 😄
He could easily do both Football is 6 months they tape 46 days out the year so wouldn't be that hard to coordinate.
@@sportgamer3255 Interesting, and thanks for the insight. “I _did_ not know that, that’s some real wild stuff !!” (Carsenio Hall). 😄
@@Sharky165 they tape during his off-season so he could definitely do both right now.. They do multiple shows per day.
@@Sharky165 Haha, oh whoops. I definitely failed that category.
Well finally the 2-day curse is over. First 3-day champ since Jon Focht!
Wow What a Perfect Game to these 3 players coming up with the correct response and Great Job to Aaron Rodgers Winning 🏆
I went from absolutely no idea to "doo doo doo doo thirty whacks" but blanked on the name.
when Aaron retires he's gotta do this full time
Great job Aaron
This was about the easiest final Jeopardy I've ever seen. Didn't watch while AARON hosted. If I had I probably would have slit my wrists. What a drag.
Wait, Lizzy Borden isn't the correct spelling? Damnit!
Borden's first name was spelled Lizzie, not Lizzy.
WTF? Why are you here?! Haha
I'm more surprised she was actually legally known as "Lizzie" and not a nickname for "Elizabeth." (But the same thing happened to Betty White, too... who, ironically, sometimes used Elizabeth as a nickname.)
@@Itsisawnotiseen Usually it hurts the contestant if it changes the pronunciation or changes syllables. Lizzie vs Lizzy doesn't affect anything. That kid spelled emancipation emancipitation or something (I forget) so it was wrong.
@@Itsisawnotiseen The rules are the rules. He didn't spell it phonetically.
I love Aaron Rodgers and Im a Vikings fan
He is a pro
Aaron is improving!
I’m a bears fan.... and a huge fan of the idea of Aaron Rodgers hosting Jeopardy full time. ☠️
Yep, love watching him in jeopardy rather than destroying us.
you just want him off the field lol
@@nicholasperrin3241 congrats on spotting the joke.
This is the ultimate example of why math is important.
HE LOST BY $2... I don't even watch the show, but that's heartbreaking!
كتيييير حلوووو
Aaron Rodgers is awesome on this show . Hope he gets it.
You can tell he's a fan and took this role seriously. Should he be the full time host? I don't know. But he's doing a respectable job
I guessed guessed Lizzy Borden and was right...hot dog.
Wow! Nice to see sum1 other than Ken Jennings whom I have never cared for, hosting Jeopardy!
I think Aaron is definitely going to be considered. His guest hosting has brought a ton of positive publicity to jeopardy, especially from those viewers who typically don’t watch.
Not to mention he’s pretty damn good at it for his first time.
@@BenDover-lg4wv damn straight! If he’s this good now he’ll only get better.
GOAT
Sebastién is super cute and played a great game, I'm bummed for him that he didn't win. ~Trav
omg i subscribe to jeopardy turning into my parents
“Id like to take what is green 19 for 500”
Aaron can stay.
I'm not certain who the Host is, but he's very good in this episode; I actually think he may rival Mayim
Months later and seeing the other hosts - I gotta admit - he might be my favorite choice because I think his 'upside' would be fantastic. I don't think any of the other 'celebrity' guest hosts would show that much growth-over-time. Sort of like his career, too.
I actually knew this one
$2 loss God that hurt I bet haha, good job so far Rodgers
this looks like an snl skit
What an easy question.
Amy answered with a metal band. :D
Can’t believe my QB is doing this! He’s got a bright future once his football career is over, but... I would like that to wait a few years if that’s ok! lol
Funny to read these comments about Aaron Rodgers months later, so many thought he should be the host! I liked him too....
Guest host review: Ken: Has the formula down, tone and speed are the problem Mike: makes mistakes Couric: Too distracted/upbeat Oz: Just not good or makes the show about himself idk Aaron: too monotone but people seem to like that he follows in alex's footsteps Who do you want as host? Ken: the natural follower Mike: so-so host Couric: tries to entertain viewers Oz: has alex's wisdom, but no regard Aaron: alex replica but too monotone and you said 5 seconds ago that we thought katie was too upbeat: WHAT ARE YOU JUDGING THESE HOSTS ON? like there has to be criteria for why you think mike is awful and aaron is amazing
brandon is cute lmfao. he looks like jared goff kind of
Why would you wager nothing going into Final Jeopardy when you're in third place?
double her winnings was not enough for her to win the game, so why risk it?
@@BKStarlet08 If the other people get it wrong she has a better chance. Obviously you aren't guaranteed a win by risking more, but the chances are higher
Aaron looks good in a suit, but better in nothing.
Alex would never accept a spelling error
WOW
When he retires he should just become the full time host
Damn, talk about a true squeaker of a victory WOW
I KNOW! RIGHT?
How did they pick this host?? My first time watching him but he literally put me to sleep with that voice and demeanor
Brandon was a cool contestant and I was sad he lost and I thought he'd be a five-time champion!
Yes! Aaron for the win, hire him already.
SIGN HIM UP!
At this point, I’ve only seen Aaron with the ‘Final Jeopardy’ answers. If it’s any indication on how he does the rest of the show, I found a good cure for insomnia. Not asking for much, but just a LITTLE excitement, heck, even some inflection, would be appreciated.
It still can’t compare to his best Hail Marys !! 😁🤣
At least someone said it...all I've seen are the final jeopardy answers too but damn...this guy actually doesn't sound like he wants to be here. All other hosts up until now have been upbeat and showed an excitement for hosting the show. Aaron just sounds like he's waiting for the lunch bell
@@samuelheavener261 Agreed, I love Aaron as a QB, but he’s more dry and reserved here than I thought he’d be. Jeopardy ought to give Stephen A. Smith an audition for host, if they want a sports-related guy who will spice things up ! 😁🤣
He is ho hum. Let's wait for all hosts to see what is best for the show.
I had relatively high hopes for him going in, and he's clearly trying but... I just can't get into it. He sounds so flat and lifeless, almost dour with his voice at times. It sucks the energy out. He definitely has the chops to be a good host, but Jeopardy's just not the right show for him. He needs something more laid back and informal. Hell, even another revival of Super Password might be just the right mix of intelligent and easygoing. Bert Convy had no brainiac quizmaster personality and he did well with it, Aaron could work there.
no one is talking about how the dude WON BY $2!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a close game in the end
Never seen a stiffer Aaron Rodgers. He is definitely out of his element here.
You guys need to stop hating 🤦♂️ all of you are just jealous that he’s doing better shit than you guys in his life. I guarantee all of you hating haven’t watched a single episode before Aaron and the fact you think this is boring is just laughable. You guys act like jeopardy is supposed to be full of tons of energy and that he’s supposed to do cartwheels all day for every question drinking tons of caffeine and shit 🤦♂️
You can't penalize someone for 'misspelling' a name which isn't even a proper name.
I think the permanent host should be Ken Jennings, Mike Richards or Bill Whitaker
grrreeeeen nineteen-
Good lord. I get ptsd hearing that as a bears fan.
First 3 day champ in months
When she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one.
(notorious BIG... 😂)
A-aron Rogers huh?
Rodgers has some thinking to do. He already has a-lot of money and he’s improving each day. Risk injury and deal with it for life or ???
I don’t think it’s about money. The dude wants another chip and there’s no price on that.
Yo based on this little snip Aaron Rodgers ain't bad. He's got option after the NFL 😊
I never thought the jock would end up being the best guest host on the show. Maybe once he retires from football, he can take the gig over from whoever has it at that time.
Aarons really fucking good at this. Hope he retires soon and does jeopardy full time so I can see more of this and less of him destroying my bears.
Was this supper easy? I had nothing.
Go bears. Rogers for permanent host
Aaron is great. Ken still gets my vote.
Same. Aaron is doing amazing, Ken will always have my heart. 💗
@@dianab5677 he was good, a little too showy
who else was going through the nursey rhyme
anyone else think the champion looks like jared goff?
If he ends up leaving, this Packer fan would much prefer to see Aaron Rodgers in a suit hosting Jeopardy! permanently rather than in another NFL team's uniform.
I mean if he retires to host jeopardy the packers drafted Jordan Love
I would have said "Hillary Clinton"
Who dat?
This is the first time I have seen any of the Aaron Rogers attempt to host "Jeopardy". He lacks vocal clarity, pacing skills and the sense of the dramatic that all game show hosts that came up in the 20th century had but almost nobody does now. If I were to watch a complete show with him as host, I'd be asleep by this point. There is an art to doing shows like this, and Aaron Rogers ain't got it. But neither does Drew Carey, but at least they could revamp "The Price Is Right" to where the game became bigger than the host. You can't do that with this show. NEXT!!!
Conor mcgregor
The guy that's announcing sounds so boring
It’s meant to be kinda like that tho
Is this a joke?
Wait..her spelling was correct...
At this point in the guest hosts, it’s between Ken Jennings and Rodgers. But I think Rodgers is showing he has more natural charisma, he’s got a more relaxed vibe to him than Ken.
Aaron gets more respect from jeopardy fans than from the green bay packers
Aaron gets more respect from bears fan than from the packers. The only reason most packers fans tolerate the packers rn is because Aaron is on their team. The team is definitely blackballing him rn.
Jeopardy hiring one of the greatest QBs of the most masculine, meat-head sports (which is known for CTE) as their long-term branic host would be, beyond words, brilliantly ironic. I think Aaron is acutely aware of this. In a sport where the greats go brain-dead, he would chose to walk away to be host of the most iconic brain-game. It would be the greatest mic-drop ever. Go pack
He did a great job. He already won a superbowl. Look at Brees' last season full of injuries. Rivers retired too. He could have this gig for 40 years. If offered he should take it.
LeVar!
While he has the voice for it, he doesn't have the humor that you would hope for like Alex and Ken did. Maybe he'll show it more with time
If youve seen his interviews (espec on Pat Mcafee show), its definitely more of a sarcastic sense of humor
I’m sure that he would! Give him time to find his nitch
