I got a k95 rgb with reds for 240. No way this board beats a k95

SalsaCookies the og corsair k90 was still less expensive than this smh
Compact and portable
Wow sry to say but you are deaf as fuck
Af.. portable!
yeah wha
Thank you for your reviews and for the sound tests , this is definitely a big plus at the moment to choose a keyboard.
That fact my mind is telling me to buy this but my heart is telling me wait until black Friday XD
On god, but damn its also sold out
Amazon has the full sized and TKL now on sale with Prime Days. At least in my country
I don't think that's your heart I think it's your wallet
I bought the tkl version in china back in June for about 150 and no sales tax here, pretty decent deal I'm loving it
Amazon has a renewed version of the clicky version for 150! Just ordered one.
It would be sweet if you mentioned the lightspeed sensors on this (and the g pro wireless mouse) actually have faster response times than the best wired options available. I'm sure you saw the video Linus did testing response times. That fact alone made me switch to the g pro wireless mouse.
Loving the ASMR videos man keep it up
Perfect sound test! Thank you.
Me: Whoa i’m going to buy this! My wallet: Am i a joke to you?
$250? damn, not for me or most people out there lol.
Ur right. I bought hyperx alloy fps pro for 63€
@@NopkarLTI bought used Alloy fps fo 50 €, great keyboard
Considering that my current mechanical keyboard has lasted me 7 years and counting, and that it's something you use literally every day... I'd say it's worth the investment. Definetily know what you mean though :P
My main keyboard not only is a 60% board but it was around $120 which is still expensive for me definitely gonna pass with this one
@@TheLjheuvel true, but these keycaps definitely aren't lasting 3
Typing on one of these now. I got the clicky but like the sound of the Tactile from your review. Gonna switch to that one. Thanks a million for the honesty. It's definitely more than I've ever paid for a keyboard but I type more accurately with it than my Razer Huntsman (still like it) and it's got a ton of features I didn't know I wanted until I had them!
top quality review as always ! grat content !
2:44 Logitech did not, in fact, make their own low-profile switches. Those are standard Kailh Choc switches, you can even see the Kailh logo on the switch housing. This is actually a good thing, as Choc switches are pretty great, especially the clicky ones. I recently got done lubing a linear Choc keyboard, and it's the happiest I've been with any low-profile keyboard I've ever laid my fingers on. I'm glad to see them getting more use, but I'm disappointed to see that they won't be getting the kind of exposure I'd like for them due to Logitech calling them GL Switches. These aren't even a custom variant like the Choc blue switches seen on the Havit KB395L, these are just straight up, bog standard, regular-ass Chocs (which, again, is good) so there's no justification for it.
Literally every week: Hi I am Randomfrankp and this is my favorite keyboard, Next week: Hi I am Randomfrankp and this is my new favorite keyboard... lol just teasing alot of good stuff coming out atm!

I nearly disliked the video but realized I'm on RP’s channel.
Companies are pricing themselves right out of the market...
If anyone wants a keyboard with these low profile switches for cheaper, all they are is a variant of Kailh's low profile choc switches. Plenty of other keyboards out there for much cheaper with these switches.
Can you list a few? I have honestly been looking but couldn't find any prebuilt.

best review ive seen! thank you
"Made their own switches" dude I can see the Kailh logo. They're obviously kailh chocs, which is a good thing since those are the most common low profile switches.
I bought one, and it’s the best board I’ve ever owned. Feels great
Mr. J which one did you get? The clicky or the tactile/ linear one? And why, if I may ask. :D
I own the G815 and I can't stop looking at it. It's absolutely gorgeous and so much fun to type on. Although I would've wished this keyboard was more like $125 and wireless $150 but oh well.
Thanks for actually reviewing this keyboard.. I just watched another "review' and in the 7 minute video the guy plugged his twitch 3 times.. And barely said anything about the keyboard and the things he did say about the keyboard were just things seemingly taken from the logitech webpage for the keyboard. Happy to see that you actually reviewed the product.
"Logitech made their own switch" in the same way I "made my own computer". The switches are Kailh Chocolate
Yep - The Kailh PG1232 Mini Chocolate mechanical keyswitch was released a couple of years ago. Eg. Anandtech [ kailh-introduces-low-profile-mini-chocolate-keyswitches ].
It's wierd because I'm sure Frank actually has done a video featuing Choc switches in the past. Either this somehow flew over his head or he just made the call not to mention that because anyone who knows Choc switches knows that they don't cost US$250...
Well the switch and the switch....the whole thing is called switch and also just the electronical switch. The electronical switch is not from logitech but the design above the electronical switch.
Thanks for the info. Is the Kailh Chocolate as durable as the Cherry MX Blue? I love/hate my Filco Majestouch Convertible 2 because it types great but the bluetooth keeps disconnecting.
Would be nice if Logitech brought out a TKL version of this keyboard. Would buy it in a heartbeat
Did you buy it??
Well did you buy it yet?
Did you buy it?
that click comparison was soooo satisfying
Excluding its price, is this keyboard (the linear one in particular) something that one would recommend for an office environment? I've been looking for a low profile keyboard to use as an office/work keyboard and this one seems like a good fit. I've contemplated getting a more "dedicated" work keyboard for said purpose, but I prefer mechanical keys more than anything else, issue being that mechanical keys tend to make more sound hence disturbing surrounding people more. Do you believe that this keyboard would make enough sound (even with the linear variant) to disturb people around me (thus making a standard "work"-keyboard more ethical) or would this keyboard work well in said environments?
I now have the means to obtain this beauty, but the lil' bugger is sold out EVERYWHERE!
If they came out with a TKL version I would buy this asap
They do
this is the video i was waiting for!!
The keyboard I've been waiting for my whole life. I hate how mechanical keyboards are always high profile and have keys spaced out too much. This seems perfect for me.

@@lindis8030 compared with mechanical keyboard enthusiasts and what they spend on much smaller keyboards, 250 isn't much
@@brankerroberts3360 many enthusiasts do spend more than that, however I can build a keyboard with hot swappable PCB, RGB lighting, thick PBT keycaps, a quality wood case and my choice of switches for only $170.
I usually like reds but blues/whites on this low profile sounds so satisfying
I can only back up the decision to sound check the 3 boards without saying which one is which - makes the content so much more useful
Can u do top 5 best wireless gaming keyboards v2
Get an anne pro 2 if you want one, they're great and easily customisable
Just make sure to get it off of ebay as they tend to be alot cheaper- shipping directly from china instead of marked up from wholesale :)
If you want lights then this is the only one that's usable, the rest would give you only a couple hours of battery life.
Found it via Frank, the Royal Kludge RK sink87g. Very good wireless mechanical keyboard. And it's only $50 and over a 2.4gHz connection, not Bluetooth.
kiran seehra Anne pro 2 is ass. I have it and I regret buying it
I really love this keyboard and rate it 10/10! And I disagree with the media keys... they´re rubberized so what? Feeling mushy? So what? Its a 100% perfect gaming keyboard, with perfect switches and with the best battery life you can imagine!
Nah... If they were switches the board would be much better....

It's surprisingly heavy too. I got this because it fits underneath the clamp of my Thrustmaster TMX steering wheel. Also the Bluetooth connects to my phone or tablet with one button push and back to the PC again.

I'm currently using the MX Keys for programming but man I'm so tempted to just sell it and put it towards this. Honestly if the MX Keys had RGB then it would be my personal favorite keyboard.
this looks amazing. I am interested in the full size with brown switches. Can you comare it with something better? or is it the best one out there for such features?
3:31 the keycaps look really wobbly here.
Yep, I can see that ctrl key cap will snap at some time in the near future. It's happened to me with my ctrl key cap because I don't 100% of the time press it in the dead center. Had to replace that weak ABS key cap with a strong PBT one and it's been solid since.
Can confirm. I currently bought this keyboard and probably will return it because of that. I really bugs me. It's simply not acceptable with that price point.
@@Kenmanhl it's not a ctrl key though, it's G5 I think (not as bad, for me)
lowkey, if I had the money I'd legit throw my money at it. Like I'm not particularly a Logitech fan but this is something I would get
Same. It just looks simple, clean and elegant
Considering it's Logitech it'll probs last you 10+ years as well. So definetily worth the investment. Might just have to take a hit to the wallet, but so worth if you use it daily
@@TheLjheuvel worth it, yeah Affordable? Nah
There´s keyboards with these switch that go as low as 50 bucks. Logitech just capitalizing on the lack of knowledge and ignorance of the ppl. Gamdias hermes p3 and M3 are great. The built quality is decent, software is utilitarian and all works (no stupid shit working dumb like on synapse).
@@ionutdanielserban9498 those aren't wireless though, have less functions and are plastic... I agree the $250 price point is steep but you can't compare em to those Gamdias boards Especially considering a batterylife of 30 hours, bluetooth, 1ms response times etc. etc.
I'm trying to determine what keyboard to move to if any at the moment. I'm a big Logitech fan so I'm kinda leaning in their direction but not too sure. I'm using the g710+ atm (mx browns) and I tried the 910 at a store and really didn't like the keys. This one looks pretty nice but I'm not sure if I like the low profileness so I'm not really sure if I'll get it or not
Thanks for the video! Do the 3 different keys all feel the same? Or some more mushier than others?
Frank: this is the most expensive keybord Also Frank: buys 3 of them
he got them for 3 from Logitech as review models. its standard practice
Also frank, has a $600 custom TKL keyboard on his SECOND setup
ok i’ll sum the video up wireless mechanical keyboard for $250
sounds expensive but cool
Good review but which was the order of the keyboards ? I think a miss that
In the sound test can you please tell us the order of the keyboard you used ? I liked the sound of the first one
I have a habit keyboard with khail lowprofile blue switches, and logitech completely took the idea from my keyboard, mine is called the kb-395L
a 60 % version of this would be amazing.
NO! i hate 60%, better Full-size 100%
@@Christianhal9000 More options to satisfy everyone. Not just the people who like one size.
@@Christianhal9000 So buy the full size version. Some of us want a smaller profile keyboard because we don't have the space for a 2 ft keyboard.
Am I crazy for liking the G213 (rubber dome) key feel better? The G815/915 is better for its internal memory tho. It doesn't need a palm rest either and that's nice too.
My only wish is that there was a TKL version. But I understand that’s more of a niche market. Gonna go ahead and grab one of those anyways. Great review! Thanks!
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE CINEMATOGRAPHY ??! these shots are so clean must have been a lot of work to put into a video that is just about a keyboard
Remove the macros, remove the numb pad, (basically a tournament edition) and make it 150 and I’ll buy it

Hey I am a bit sceptical about using a wireless mouse/keyboard. Using a crappy Logitech combo and the keyboard performs poorly but mouse is sweet. Noticed you have the opposite setup in this vid. Any advice on a decent wireless mouse too that shares the same dongle as a keyboard of this quality for a reasonable price?
If logitech takes 100$ of the price, then ill think about it, even then, still probably a no
they're going to fly off the selves when it hits 150. If I could sell my currently logitech keyboard for a decent price, i'd have bought it probably.
@@aaronao1 doubt it, only a small % of people need to use a wireless keyboard and most of them are for aesthetic reasons.
Completely agree... I was like, I'm buying this if it's 150....NOOOOOPE
Even that's more than it's worth if you compare it with Chinese boards. You can get a China board with Cherry MX clones + same type of keycaps + RGB for 40$. Add 20$ for wireless and aluminum top pimpage at maximum.
Well,if it was 10$ I'd buy it

@@joshhatchell3034 Oh my god I'm in love. Can't wait to pick mine up. I ended up getting the G815 full-size a while back anyway but damn, I'm excited.
I got the keyboard. It's honestly sooo much better feeling than any of the other keyboards I've tried. I'm so much faster on it. It is also very easy to clean. nothing can really get stuck under the keys, you can just blow it out. Honestly, I never would believe that I'd advocate a $250 keyboard, but if you are on a computer coding, gaming, or just altogether typing for hours a day, it's absolutely worth it. Very surprised.
Should I get this, or the G513? The wrist rest from the G513 is awesome.
I’ll wait for the TKL version
This man said threesome I'm dead 💀💀💀 nice vid tho👍👍👍
I can't play racing games with keyboard. I really need two hands on keyboard but shooting is fine one hand on keyboard & other hand on mouse. And maximum racing games doesn't come with gaming pad built in settings. For that need additional tools to install. So, what kind of keyboard is best for racing games? Other hand is gaming wheel but they are not in budget.
nice review but i'd like the specifications such as the price up front.. i know that many people will then close the tab but its kinda the driving factor if people will be interested or not
I don't like the price. Logitech prices are wtf sometimes. With 250 you can buy decent monitor, make your own keyboard which is fun
It is totally experimental price because men Logitech (not as in mice department) is not the strongest in keyboard so they have to be more decent with their price
I'm building my own 60 percent keyboard with a wood case, hot swappable PCB, kailh box pinks, thick PBT keycaps and RGB for $170 lol
@@ballpoint7887 yes and that will be custom, that will be unique. Not like this keyboard which differs only in switch and you still basically don't have a lot of variant to change the keycaps. Though these switches tend to become 'low profile' mainstream as community likes them. However cherry can also make their low profile line up more popular if they would use stabilizers which are comaptible with their new switches.
It's wireless (not just generic 30ms BT but actually 1ms) and has decent battery life. I'd say the price is justifiable considering there's virtually no competition from other mainstream manufacturers in this premium wireless keyboard segment.
@@bigdrill8881 but it is situation when you would really want that if you want to buy that. Similar situation was with steelseries pro wireless which is even more expensive, however I really wanted hotswapable batteries. get rid of that volume bar and add the one from the corsair k70 and get rid of the lightspeed logo and i'd be all over this
yup
love the logo, HATE this volume bar, its absolutely horrible! No feedback and it lags the sound.
So u want a wireless k70
And Logitech officially stole me from Corsair. Though my platinum was gonna last me *at* *least* 2 years. lol
How is it holding up? I am thinking of leaving my Corsair K70 for this keyboard.
Same here! Had a K95 Platinum but after seeing this, immediately bought a G915. Had some issues with my K95 but the G915 is holding up like a champ 👌
I notice many like the Browns but if I wanted to go for a quieter profile which would it be? Reds? Or is there another type not shown here that would provide a quieter experience while typing? If so any recommendations? 🙏😁
Wow such an amazing keyboard!
Hey randomfrankp, Just wanna make a recommendation for a keyboard I found it is the HK gk61 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. Can you make a review on it?
I've been looking at that keyboard for like a week and I really want him to review it because I actually trust him
@randomfrankp what did you think about the typing experience though? The sound on the Tactical is not great, the feedback isn't enough or even as much as the laptop keyboards I use. The keys dont feel as solid or stable as then either. I have been typing on it all day and the experience just doesn't seem like something I'd Pay for. Love the look and features but typing IMO feels gross. Might have to try the clicky but... Im sceptical. Any Thoughts?
2 months into owning this for my main keyboard... it's well worth the money in my opinion... you spend so much typing and this feels and looks the part.
Ahh I am not a gamer but I want this. I would take it to the office and it would be a little like Christmas everyday. Btw kudos to you for demo-ing the sound coming from each of these three.
Thanks finally a review!!!!!! Notification squad!!
Does anyone know how to tell when the keyboard is fully charged, if its flashing green that means charging right? does it go solid green or turn off when fully charged? The keyboard didn't come with a manual on this.
You are hands down no joke the absolute best KZheadr on this site.
I like the sound test other than the fact that you didn't let us know which keyboard was which while testing.
My "old" g810" was one of my favorite keyboards, and then i did use my Huntsman Elite for a while and is a very solid keyboard. But the g915 is damn solid, price is less fun but you get a damn solid keyboard. Still have hard time say if i like the red or brown better...but both very solid. White with clicky sound was not 100% for my taste. :)
Very well said, just picked up the G915 "Clicky" today and I must admit after using brands like Corsair and Razer it was nice to finally return to Logitech. The G915 was the best feeling keyboard out of all the gaming keyboards in the store I bought it from and they had quite a few gaming keyboards. It just had a solid feel to it and testing the keys out made Razer and Corsair feel so cheap in comparison. It's truly the best damn keyboard out right now and Logitech did a damn good job with this baby!
Could u please share the light setting in you studio? It look Great!
Hey Frank - can the G915 and, like the G502 wireless, use the same Lightspeed-dongle? Or do I have to route two sensors to my desktop?
My choice at this point is between the G915 TKL or the Huntsman V2 TKl. The only hesitation is the 915s ABS keycaps which basically has almost no alternative. What do you guys think?
