DST Terraria Crossover - ALL the New Stuff in Don't Starve Together!!
Buckle up - you're in for a wild ride! Here's my coverage of the much anticipated Don't Starve Together / Terraria Crossover, detailing ALL THE THINGS that were added to Don't Starve Together. Interesting - that looks quite a bit different from the Star Staff skin though.

The voidbag skin actually makes the sound from terraria if you open and close it by right clicking it while equipped

I honestly wish there was more from terraria in dst, like the Moonlord or the destroyer but I am pretty happy with the update
I think they were probably trying to keep things balanced somewhat between the two games, though along those lines DST got 2 (very similar to each other) bossfights, but Terraria only got one. I personally still wish that the Twins had different attacks like they do in Terraria though.
Maybe they're starting with baby steps to see the reaction of the players and then add more. But they knew the potential of this crossover

I thought the whip item was a Static Hook, but when I paused the video I realized it was a Snapthorn. I wouldn't have known because I don't play summoner
You should totally try it! Snapthorn with feral claws and obsidian outlaw set is REALLY strong!
I feel like some skin is being rushed, especially the telltale heart for not having any effect like the other telltale heart being all Elegant skin, some is failing far behind when compared to the other but I guess it's already mid-November so they couldn't delay it more
I think the live crystal should have been a life-giving amulet, personally. And instead of a Hallow Pylon for the Telelocator focus, would have been better to make the Lazy Deserter be a Desert Pylon. Or both!!

Star Caller Staff is probably a Solar Pillar Fragment put in a stick. dont know why they did not just use a inferno fork or something
Oh yeah - I was thinking that the skin looked familiar, but couldn't quite put my finger on it! But I totally agree - they definitely had other options. Wand of sparking would have been hilarious! 😆

I'll get there eventually, but at this rate it will be a while before I do. However, the more recent Drunk World Master Mode episodes generally have a Moon Lord fight or two. You can find them in the playlists section of my page, and I'll definitely be farming the Moon Lord on Thursday's livestream!

This update was sick but just wondering when wagstaff adventure mode journey is coming I’m rlly excited as I’m doing adventure on my world on world 3 the easiest two worlds but bad to battle cold reception and the hardest king of winter. Anyways great video!

@@salendrak not...really there isn't much that summons a source of light/fire other than flamelash...which was used for fire rod
@@somedude4087 True, but along the lines of fire they could have done Inferno Fork or Flower of Fire. Seems like they just REALLY wanted Lunar Portal to be the Moon Caller's Staff, but then for some reason felt compelled to do something for Star Caller.

@@salendrak OMG... Where exactly? I've just updated both games in my Steam Library and checking the official websites I haven't found any references about the timeframe of the crossover event. Since both games have some seasonal events, that's why I'm wondering. Christmas events, Halloween, Fall or Chinese new year... All that. So I'm not sure if this December they will add up a Christmas/Winter with the crossover active or what will happen. I need to get updated with my Terraria worlds and characters. And keep the upgrades in my DST main base. It takes time so, I want to catch up both games to fully enjoy this genius crossover.
@@Mtz2604 I saw both companies post it in response to someone else on twitter asking the same question. You can only get the skin chest in DST if you log in between now and the next big update, but everything else (weavable skins, in-game stuff) is forever, and likely everything in Terraria will be forever! Let the good times roll!!

That's Wortox - he's one of the DLC characters that you can only play as if you buy him with real money or weave with spools.

Yeah, overall I think the Terraria update ended up with more genuine gameplay additions, especially with a whole new special world seed. The world pre-sets for Terraria are a bit underwhelming, and I'm really sad that the Twins are just tankier versions of the Eye. Where's the lasers and fire?!?!

Sadly no, and I don't expect it ever will be. The update is exclusive to Don't Starve Together, which is a different game from all the single player versions of Don't Starve, including Pocket Edition.

@@salendrak i wanted to see if there was an effect from wearing both, like in terraria, but i couldn’t find a video of someone just wearing it anywhere. I ended up spending all my spools on the skins and no effect…
@@creamking3569 Oh, yeah. All the skins in dst are purely cosmetic. So new new effect beyond what happens by normally equipping those respective items. At least you get to look cool wearing them!
@@salendrak yeah i was just hoping for more i guess. The sword got a cool effect and I thought a skin for fuealweavers drops should be special too as those items are so hard to get but i was wrong, just plain purple armor.
