Some of the case overlaps the bezel, if there's no bezel, your fingers can't reach the very edge of the screen. I've had to peel my case off to access small buttons in the corner of certain apps. If there was a small gap between the edge of the case and the touchscreen, this wouldn't be a problem.

I have a 12 Pro that I bought for the cameras and the auto focus in low light is assisted by the LiDAR (or so I’ve been lead to believe), dabbled with a room scanning app. Curious to pick the brain of someone that puts the tool to use in a professional way.

    • @@crum111 Hi Gordon, I actually made a real long answer which youtube didn't save for some reason apperently, hence the "also". Short version: i have no experience with LiDAR at all, but I am very interested. The Iphone 12 pro seems to have rather low resolution (precision suffers i would think?) and 'only' 5 meters range. Which concernes me for my use case (sometimes i have to measure very big rooms or hallways for example). If the 13 pro only has very marginal improvements in these areas, I would probably buy the Iphone 12 pro (second hand) or the Ipad pro (second hand). Also a quick 3d scan of a room (with photograph overlay if possible) would be super helpfull a couple of days after I have been on the location. so I can check if i have missed something.

  • Jumped from a dying 6s to a 13 Mini during the launch weekend. I've been using it since Saturday and it's a much better improvement for sure. I just wanted something X or above but Verizon's availability made me get a 13 mini at 256 gb (I don't need a lotta storage since I have a bunch of music that isn't on streaming services, mostly King Crimson boxed sets). But yea Linus pretty much stated things right to me; cameras are nice, notch is better than the 12 (I still worry I'll accidentally call a friend on Discord cause of the control center stuff), the battery life makes my pockets better (tho I need a better wardrobe since some of my pants aren't good for pockets LOL), and the display is good enough to me. As someone who just wanted a X series or above for Vtuber content, I was okay with getting a 13 Mini. ✌️

The bezel isn't really great in that department. It gives a better support to the screen tho because there is a rubber layer in that bezel which means it is slighty more protected from breaking.

  • Okay, I’m gonna suggest something here and hope you guys do this for all future vids. When doing comparisons etc…. KEEPING THE SAME “DEVICE” AND INFO on the same side of the screen, is EXTREMELY helpful and useful. When you jump back n forth from having device & info on right in one shot (along with the other comparison on left) and then in next shot for comparing another feature and it’s reversed….. It’s a tad bit confusing as the continuity of the video is interrupted b/c we “expect” everything to be left for iphone 13 pro and right for iPhone 13 throughout entire video (or vice versa); but when you keep bouncing and swapping the devices placement in the video…..not very fluid (imo), and hope this gets improved on future videos. Like when watching a movie and in one scene a person starts to eat and they have half a “steak” left and then another person talks and the camera flips to them and back to main; and all of a sudden, the steak and plate of food is 100% FULL & starts eating again…..not very fluid and noticeable. More so when comparing devices and looking at stats and are like, what, why iPhone 13 pro battery less then iPhone 13; oh, duh me….read top, it’s now iPhone 13 pro on left and iPhone 13 pro on right. Same with pricing, 13 pro right 13 left and next scene the pro on left and 13 on right when talking about display brightness. So, point is, after that novel, keeping the info and devices a fluid (continuity) throughout video helps ppl watching , imo, and makes the UE, etc….SMOOTH as water, like the LTT WATER BOTTLE; LTTStore.com Still enjoyed the vid, and hearing Linus’s “take” in the new iPhone (point of vid😉). • Engineering and putting speakers just as powerful into a much more compact device costs more money, and the iPhone has great mics and 'webcam' as well so the BoM cost of a flagship phone and a laptop that's half the price are COMPLETELY different.

  • I've been an iPhone user for the past 8 years but decided to mix it up and bought a Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. It's a pretty sweet phone and in enjoying using it but there are still things I miss about iOS. Oh well, I'll stick with this for a while and maybe go back to iPhone one day.

    • Im thinking about doing the same. I've had iPhones since the iPhone 3G back in 2009 but since the iPhone X there hasn't been something new that got me excited about getting a new one (im not talking about iPhones only, I believe the whole smartphone ecosystem is pretty much very mature at this point and we won't see paradigm shifts that often). So I was thinking about getting an android just to spice things up and trying it out (I've used androids, but never owned a flagship and the experience must be pretty different from mid end phones)

    • @@CassianoCalegari I dont really like the direction Apple has headed, they know their audience goes crazy for the smallest features that have been in Android for years. So they're deliberatly drip feeding new features because they know the average consumer wont care but the tech youtubers will go mad for it. I'm probably going to switch to android as my next phone Apple has lost all its 'innovation' instead they just play the long game when it comes to features its boring.

    • @@JP-bh7wb the drip feeding part, just the other day i saw this instagram meme page posting about how copying the otp from messages and being able to paste it directly is the best feature and when swipe to type came out on the iphone people were calling it revolutionary💀and when android users pointed out that they've had those features for years they call them plebs for using an android

      @kaneki1056@kaneki10562 жыл бұрын
    • @@JP-bh7wb you need to realize it’s harder for apple to implement feature on the iPhone because of the crazy high demand. iPads has 120 hz since 2018 but nobody could produce enough panels for the iPhone , that’s why it was implemented so late.
