It has a bigger meaning behind aswell i think. It's not just you can't effect me, but i think he went for i acknowledge the darkness around me but you can't stop me from finding my way.
Who is the rapper ballsy enough to give his alter ego, depression and manifestation of all of his anxiety equal mic time. He's amplifying his insecurities with a track and promoting it so he can fight back. This is a rap battle between Tom and his mental health. And giving those negative thoughts equal time time, saying the most horrible, under handed, low blows. Only people with anxiety understand that voice. The things its willing to say to you. This was transformative and special. Production as well.

If you're lucky enough to not see yours in the mirror anymore, be glad you're not a sufferer of severe chronic mental disorder that is a lifelong struggle. Yes, anxiety can leave you. If it does, it's not a disorder though. A disorder is, by definition, a chronic case that overpowers you, and usually irrationally.

@JuicyMusicprod yes. I’m saying anxiety is a natural function of the body for everyone. The disorder is when we get anxiety for no reason at all and go into panic/fight or flight mode uncontrollably with no real threat around.

When you understand that, you understand that God and the Devil are one person and that one person is you. He has to remind himself that if he doesn't truly believe he's the best rapper ever, in his own mind, he'll never achieve that goal. It's the weapon he uses to win the impossible fight against himself. The sword in the stone, if you will. Imagine the comparisons he hears every single day just because of those two simple factors. The brilliant move behind him dropping a new song titled Best Rapper Ever on the day one of the best rappers to ever exist is an unfounded strategy clearly working in his favor. As of last night he surpassed every song on Eminem's new album leading #1 on the iTunes chart the day of it's release. That's a phenomenal accomplishment that no one can take from him regardless how you feel about him as a person or an artist. We are literally watching Tom and Nova's legacies as they are being built right in front of us. Their work comes to fruition so seamlessly. It's an unstoppable union and Nova deserves credit where credit is due. She's a powerhouse of talent, creativity, and vision in her own right. They both are and together they've already elevated the bar that other rapper's, even some of the greats, have failed to raise. Complacency can be a killer of careers in the entertainment industry. People tend to lose respect for artists because the material they deliver eventually goes stale. I don't believe that will be the case with this team. Tom and Nova have a way of pulling you out of your comfort zone in such a way but you can't help but be captivated and before you even realize what happened you're hooked. The vulnerability and raw emotion is where rap started. It began as a way to tell stories of real life and daily struggle while incorporating rhythm, beat, and rhyme. Tom embodies the true essence of what it means to an entire culture and stays true it's origin while pioneering new ideas, standards, and knocking down the walls that have been built around the genre. Best of luck to them both and I hope people will be able to see beyond the surface and feel the message they try to convey🖤
