    • actually, he was just in place to twist his entire body into the punch. But the way he throws it, and the way it lands - you can tell his entire body is just naturally made to throw power shots.

  • What I like about Jan is that his punches not look hard, he is relaks and his punches are short but he have a KO power. Smart fighter with great timing, cold in octagon amaizing men outside.

    • the rockhold one looked extremely hard to me. The way he twists his foot and transfers the weight, along with the levering and torque of his upper body.

    • Timing is his strongest point imo. Lot of fighters which had fight or sparring with him said that thanks to timing he can punch your face when you are sure you're out of his reach.

    • @@MitchJohnson0110 he did put his hip into it. You don't need big hip movements to recruit rotational force from the hip because it's your center of gravity. All depends on how optimized your kinetic chain is. The Reyes left hook looked like an arm punch, even though Jan actually used his entire body, but very slightly. But yeah, he's capable of producing extreme force by minimal movements that almost disguise the power.

  • Jan is one of the scariest competitors out there imo. He’s ruthlessly aggressive, and has dynamite in his fists and feet. You have to remember just how tough Reyes and Izzy are, and Jan totally schooled them. One of the most underrated active champions.

    • umm he straight up shut izzy down on the striking. he had way more significant strikes landed, checked all of his kicks , was defensively amazing, only got cracked once , and then ground and pounded him for 2 rounds , 100 percent take down ratio , and entered mount with ground and pound as the bell rung. definitely safe to say he schooled izzy

    • "Problem" is that Jan isn't controversial in any aspect. He's brilliant fighter with a lot of respect for other who despites shitstorms and fake dramas before fights. He's not insulting anyone, he's not screaming like crazy on press conferences, he's not faking any hatred towards oponnent. Just humble respect and dedication for sport. Those doesn't sell well nowadays.

Just shows that Jans striking is a level above Jones, he could have possibly used his wrestling but Jones his wrestling looked horrible against Reyes. And Reyes on the ground is a much worse fighter then Jan. So imo I would have gone for Jan cuz how shit Jones has been looking.
