Blachowiz legendary polish power impressed Joe Rogan in his match against Dominick Reyes. He has the best punching power Joe has ever seen in the Light Heavy Weight division.
At 38 years old Blachowiz is at the top of the division and aiming for the belt. After having gone toe to toe with Israel Adesanya he is confident in his striking.
Jan Blachowiz is set to face Alexander Rakić on saturday 14th may.

  • blachwicz is just really technical. you can tell he has much more high level striking experience than alot of guys. he put it on dominick reyes and alexander gustafsson. turned gustafsson into a wrestler. he has exeleent combinations, solid speed and power for his size and age. speed is fading a bit with age. can fight going backwards, is great at trading in a short range exchange. has some strikes in the clinch. hes really good man, fun to watch too. i truly believe that jon jones woulda lost to blachwicz. just doesnt have the striking skill. best bet would to ground and pound him. and hes tough to get down now with his size and improved bjj.

    • ive been saying that for years. if jon jones decided to keep defending his belt. it would be jan taking it from him after jon jones "won" against reyes.

  • Jan is powerful no doubt about it but I honestly think he’s more technical than he is powerful. I mean the punch he knocked out Corey Anderson with might’ve been one of the hardest punches in LHW history but he really sat down on that and a lot of the time Jan prefers to not sit down too much on his strikes because he’s also very aware of his defense and so is constantly aware of what might come back at him.

  • What happened to Dom in the Jan fight was an utter destruction. His nose was fucked, his ribs were fucked and on top of that he got KO'ed. Sustained so much damage.

  • One of the best counter strikers in the game. Not only do you have to look out for the the hammer, his abillities to throw and check leg kicks are second to none. Also, his guard is really really good. I don't know where his mind was at during the Glover fight, but Rakic is a powerful man, and Jan just pulled guard and completely neutralized him down there

    • His next fight is gonna be the most exciting one yet in my opinion! He's finally fighting an elite elite level striker like himself. He does have the MMA experience advantage but I don't know how much that will matter in this one! Holy shit can't wait

    • @@followmma313 If Jan had time to bulk up and train for him specifically, he is soooo much more technical on standup. And who knows maybe Jans power at HW rivals the likes of Francis and Lewis.

      @reichspector2413@reichspector2413 Жыл бұрын
    • @@reichspector2413 Too small.... Jan is 219lbs every fight day so he prolly walks around 230lbs. Not gonna give him much chance at HW division. Plus he's a slow starter. He's gonna touch you up, do some readings and reads the range for the first 2 rounds and then he's gonna beat you up to pulp on the later rounds. Plus he has that 1 punch KO power along with his technical striking. Francis is a quick starter. He'll swung hard on the early rounds until he hits you with one. Blachowicz defense is on point, great guard, good footwork and moves his head but if Francis lands its bye bye. Jan is tough if im not mistaken he only has 1 tko loss, but Heavyweights are much stronger. Tho if Jan successfully made it out of the first he's gonna smoke Ngannou. Jan is also a BJJ Black Belt that competes BJJ before UFC, but not a Brazillian level. I rather see Jan vs Gane or Jan vs Volkov. Might be a 25 minute boring Karate Sparring match but he has a higher chance there.

  • At first this "Legendary Polish Power" was cringeworthy to me but daaamn... Also weird thing about Jan is he looks like he is very slow, the way he moves. But he's not.

    @Kerthil@Kerthil Жыл бұрын
    • why cringeworthy, remember the most powerful heavy cavalry polish wing hussars they mauled every enemy, Napoleon's Polish Lancers, Pulaski and Kosciuszko in American Independence War, soldiers from Monte Casino or pilots from 303 Squadron, not cringworthy at all man

      @JZN666777@JZN6667773 ай бұрын
  • This is so out of proportion. Blachowicz is a plodding, meat-and-potato striker who throws the same combination over and over. He has only a couple of finish wins, most notably against former middleweights. Wheres the scary power now?
