Much respect to the guys and engineer's who keeps developing and pushing this technology forward.
My hats off to these pioneers who have risked their lives over the years. You can see the steady progress of faster, higher, and longer distances. This sort of thing makes me excited for the future.
people in the yeaer 420 bce they be like well shit again in star wars
@CORONAVIRUSMANMADEGENOCIDE WTF?
Yes, I’ve been excited for the future for the last 40 years and am still waiting like a salami for something that won’t happen in my lifetime
@@cc8530 I’d say I have to agree. The good stuff always seems to come after you’re gone.
So fun. I'd test these things.
The Jetwing takes the cake, the freedom you may feel up there must be incredible.
the last ones, it's amazing. incredible
We all needs to give a very BIG THANKS to these guys for putting their life on the line when testing out these flying drones, so we can fly them later in safety! May GOD bless them all!

YOU can fly them? Ahhh another billionair on KZhead.
i'd test it out for free if I knew how

It’s amazing how fast fictional technology becomes a reality, the fictional flying technology of the Goblin from the spider man movie, the fictional flying technology of Ironman/Tony Stark from the Ironman movies. It won’t be long now and we’ll have starships.
... and teleports :)
@@TopBoxy • Yup.
Is the goblin have flying machine?
@Roman V.- Serpik • Who is GQD?
Yes!
So we have been going at this since 1954 and still we are driving cars... We are either SUPER dumb as a species or someone is holding us back purposefully. A lot like the space program.
;)
Yes I agree but then there enough numptys out there in the vehicles we have now god help us if the get this type of machine. 👍😅
@@Ian-yf7cj Haha "numptys" Reminds me of Horizon
We have so many flying vehicles, planes, and helicopters. These videos have the aviation equivalent of “Sunday” cars and dirt bikes. What we can’t make, is something the general public can safely pilot. The flying “car” is about the ergonomic experience, and casual civilian pilots. You can totally land a small helicopter in your driveway already, you just might decapitate your Neighbors if they’re bringing in the groceries at the time.
Being held back. We were starting to get advance in the late 1800 and the mazonic (whose reign is over soon) intervened with mayor advancements.
The way they met in the air, talked and patted each other was amazing, up until that moment they were just more flying machines.
Blackfly looks the most safe and practical option of these for Snow and Island applications..REALLY cool .. The others all seem to have overlooked serious safety design flaws that i think they will struggle to overcome... I truly think we will see a lot of craft like this operating at low altitudes for transport over baron land and sea..All comes down to battery energy density..Bring it on!
Ace tiempo yo soñaba que algún día el hombre pudiste volar como un cohete por si solo
What?! I'd be totally fine if I got smacked in the shin with a shattering particle board propeller that's spinning fast enough to make the lift necessary to carry a quarter+ of the vehicle and myself aloft! /s⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹
My favorite is one of the most simple and ecofriendly @1:15, just a pair of shrouded electric fans, a cross strut and a backpack with flight controls computer and (solar charged) battery. I also love the idea of being able to remove those fans and mount them onto the leading edges of hang glider wings too.
It would be great if they make it work, in the video they are using a wire
@@benson8310 I don't know what you're talking about. There's no wire on the flyer @1:15, it's flying.
@@benson8310 wut
this is the way to go for sure. throw a cage around the blades for safety (bird impacts or some ass hole kids throwing rocks at you... cause that will probably happen. or someone mad you flying over their land). once we figure out how to maintain long charges with high demand on small batteries, this will probably be the way. auto stabilize, probably very easy to learn controls. i think the whole jetpack concept is cool and will probably serve a military purpose due to the speed capabilities, but if were lookin for transport for everyday people, that aint it. the only other issue i see with the copterpack, is for people who live in colder climates, if they can find a way to integrate a lightweight insulated capsule that can handle the basic necessities, while still maintaining its sleek profile (if they gotta up the blade size a little no big deal) i would gladly donate to that cause. with the advance in technology for smart screens and whatnot shouldnt be hard to pull off. plus if they do it right, they could make the pod house a parachute in case of emergencies. theres the new aerogel that is incredibly lightweight and I THINK (not entirely sure) has great insulation properties. i give it 10 years at best and we'll see a product sold to the masses. out of everything ive seen though, this by far has me the most interested and i will try to keep tabs on their roadmap and see how far along they are coming.
@@rickdiculous4663 Yes, they can be programmed as 100% automated drones that can prevent crashes to that a beginner with zero knowledge could fly in it with the automated route doing everything, or a skilled pilot could handle all controls that remain within the programmed safety limits.
Without noise and calm music, it gives a good impression. Conisdering it as additional noise in towns and crashes over my head, gives less good impressions.
The Jetpack flying in unison was breathtaking. Thank You for these clips.
What a wonderful world we live in ! I grew up tying old metal roller skates to a piece of wood for my travel and now my grandsons will enjoy the chance to experience such wonders. I was surprised " The Jetson " was not included here.
@Robby Red You are American, so richer than us poor London kids.... You had sneakers ( we call trainers ) to use we only had old wood lol... I think I miss being poor & ignorant. Life was simpler.
the jetson is spectacular!
Mom picked up a metal wheel skateboard for me once- with advertising on the wooden deck and bought at an LA flea market back in 1973 or ‘74 when I was around 6 or 7…..wish I still had it.
I remember ,you had to have a key to adjust the steelwheeled skates, man I'm old
@@davidandra2575 hahaha I had forgotten about that key/spanner. The heel strap was made of leather and when the fastening buckle leather eventually rotted and snapped off you had to use string or a old lace to keep the bloody things on..
Just need that goblin serum and here we get few green goblins hovering in the sky on those gliders....future is cool 😁
This is just over the top impressive. I'm most astonished at how a lot of these are solar powered and their top speeds reach the hundreds. The Zapata EzFlyboard, the Kittyhawk, and the Lazareth are my favorite.

Yes, that's right :)
It's like we've gone back to the old days of experimental aviation where these guys would jump off a cliff flapping chicken wings except this time it's actually working
An interesting parallel, and not everything works as in the video, there are also sad outcomes
I wouldn’t mind still seeing folks jump off like that these dayz. I’d pay.

I remember seeing something very similar to the copterpack for sale on a gadget website back in the early 2000s. Although I'm sure it would of been powered by internal combustion.
Yeah we’ve had various vtol ultralight aircraft commercially available for decades. They have always been completely impractical though, just as all of V these show here are completely impractical. Nothing has changed there. Non-vtol ultralight aircraft have also been around for decades, and they have only gotten better year after year. Paramotors are extremely affordable and have ranges up to 290 miles. Now a tandem trike paramotor won’t have such great range, but it still will be better than most of what was shown here, and you can actually buy a complete tandem trike paramotor setup right now for under 20k.
After 20 years, the copterpack still does not fly (
Quite a worthy alternative
I miss those funky old sites of the 2000’s

"Bell Rocket Belt" was used already 1965 in the James Bond movie " Thunderball". I think the same one was also used at the Olympic Games opening cermony in 1984.
Jetman is top of the line. I the past, they had to take off from an airplane. Now they take off from a deck, Huge improvement.
Yes, the jetman is impressive. We hope in the future they will also simplify control.

That is just some AMAZING stuff these folks have created!! My vote is for the Jetwing. Longest range, VTOL, fastest...3 parachutes...simple strong safe structure. These are ALL too risky for me though.
You are absolutely right, which is why it is so difficult to get a certificate for invention and production.
Exactly... it is the most obvios option to innovate!
@@caclech I don't know. Where I solidly agree the wing is the obvious victor here, let me ask you this. What would have to be done to get a 100 miles out of the Zapata Air Board? And a light weight parachute if everything goes sideways? Here is the reason, not gonna say how I know this, but the military is openly seeking a "Escape and evade" flying something that can be dropped in to downed pilots. There is of course a submission that includes "proof of concept", but it could be worth millions of dollars to the right widget that works,,,,lol.
The Jetwing is one that the military has interest in. The wing can be hollow and hold a little bit of cargo. The wings can also hold cameras or rockets.
i think that better
Jetman has the best set up, tried and true and is quick, powerful and the closest to superman yet.
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” --Socrates
What Socrates did not knew is all these machines have to fight gravity.
Love Socrates..
Socrates forgot to say that change for the sake of itself is a waste to time energy and focus…always focus on what needs to be changed, for something greater than itself. Also change is not a simile for Innovation. Change swaps one thing for another, whereas innovation is about finding better, more efficient, and advanced ways of doing something. Changing pajamas is not the same as inventing the bathrobe
The electric hover airplane is sooooo cool. The next thing after Tesla cars.
The opener backfly is very interesting....I can see it being used for desert transport.

That vertical lift plane, with 100mi and 40min autonomy, looks very efficient. I wonder what could be done if we had better electric energy storage.
A lot could be done. Energy storage is only getting better Edit: n not on the lvl of the gas potential energy out poot think ratio of gas compared to batorys is 100 to 1 but it its going up where as gasolieen is not
Just give it some time. The evolution of tech advancements in this field multiplies as time goes on, it won't be long before they produce a heavy commercial use battery for cars that's far better than what we have now, which in turn will implement naturally towards vehicles such as these in the video. I would say as a guess, give it until 2027 - by then I have no doubt that what we have now, will be completely different by then, as in far more advanced, further than it took in the last 15 years multiplied 10 fold.

I’d consider buying something like the Kittyhawk once we have 2-4 hour ranges IF you could purchase them for the price of any high end European sports car.

The Kitty Hawk is probably the best one of the lot of them. Which is funny because it looks most like a traditional plane, which you kind of want to hate it for. But it’s one of the quieter and has the best range, right? The Gravity Jet suit almost seems impossible. Imagine where this tech will be in fifty years!

These are all amazing machines and represent massive steps forward in this particular field of aviation. The biggest problem I can see for the majority of them at the moment is the lack of endurance/range, but hopefully with advances in battery technology etc, this won't be a long term problem.

Kitty Hawk Heaviside and Zapata Flyboard air are proper cool. If they had hydrogen fuel cells instead of crappy batteries or Kerosine, they'd be able to go MUCH further, because of less weight and higher energy density, the latter would be much quieter too.
