  • Regarding the comments: The arguing over Android vs iOS is so old and tired. Just use what works best for you. I just bought an S24U after 10+ years of iPhone. They're both excellent devices. Just a matter of preference. Trash talking one side is such a waste of enegy.

  • I would agree with pretty much everything in this review. It matches my experiences with both. However, I would argue that the iPhone is not the more compact of the two. The s24U may be a slightly bigger device, but it strangely feels smaller to me in the hand. It is proportionally more comfortable to hold and use, and the ever so slightly rounded sides feel less clunky and more sleek. Either way, both are remarkable pieces of tech.

  • As a dedicated iPhone user for a long time, I'm contemplating a switch, and this phone looks promising. However, I have a question: Can I record an audio session similar to a dictaphone, then have it transcribed and summarized? I'm aware it can do this for telephone conversations, but I'm unsure if it can be used as a work dictaphone that transcribes and summarizes as well.

I have apple and android products. My favorite laptop is my M1 MBA for example. The way samsung has come around over the years I can still do most of if not all the ecosystem stuff I care about, but also have all the extras which is nice. I think either way as long as you like the UI/UX you can't go too wrong either way.

Apple likes to separate app settings from the apps themselves and bury them in settings, whereas Android system apps have their own menus per app. And also just the little things like being able to tap precisely into a part of a word instead of having to use the space bar text cursor.

I feel Apple is waaay behind in terms of the notifications, messages app filters etc. I’ve been using iOS for over 6 years now and really miss those features I had on my oneplus 6t. Day to day, people just get used to the inconvenience I suppose.

  • I don't care who has the best camera or is the fastest phone in benchmarks. Every flagship smartphone takes super pictures and video's and is blazing fast. 97% of all smartphone users don't even see the differences. I'm a SMARTPHONE user so I want the best screen (dpi/brightness/anti-glare), best battery, best/most usablility and productivity options, best gaming- and multi-media experience, best personalization options and best innovation. I want DEX, KNOX, S-PEN, call recording, multi-tasking, multi-window, fingerprint scanner, best screen, widgets, themes, integration with windows, the biggest eco-system (Samsung SmartThings), fast charging, fast wireless charging and I want AI. On all these aspects the S24 Ultra is destroying the iphone 15 PM big time. So why keep people buying these antiquated, restricted and very very limited iphones?

    @hankmiller990@hankmiller9903 ай бұрын
    • I personally have the same preference, but there are a number of reasons folks choose iphones. They already invested in the ecosystem, their friends have them already and they want to use the features of imessage, security, they don't care about spending time customizing and just want it to work out the box with whatever options, they don't care about biggest ecosystem as they just want the BEST ecosystem for THEIR needs, face unlock is way better on iphone, design, they prefer IOS UI/UX, Airdrop, etc. Also, people can definitely see big differences between cameras on phones (Pixel is my favorite smartphone camera). You have to realize different things are more important to people than your own preferences. Also, competition is good in this market. So just enjoy what you like!

    • @aniels8460Apple has Face Unlock, Samsung the inscreen fingerprintscanner. S24 Ultra is on most aspects reagering imaging and video the better one. Besides that 99% can't tell if an image was taken by an iphone or the Ultra. It doesn't matter. Both produce perfect photo's and video's. Zoom on the Ultra however is far better and that's an important function. It's about screen, UI, user experience, customazation, utility- and productivity options, gaming and multi-media experience, battery and AI . THAT's why you buy a smartphone and those are the aspects on which smartphones innovate. Apple does not innovate at all.

This will work as a display colour changer, it'll toggle between three modes and depending on your preference you can easily now change the colours, vividness of the screen. It depends on you whether you want the natural tone of the display or you want the most vivid. That flexibility is why I love samsung!❤ And if you want anyone can make their displays even more vibrant than iphones,

  • I have to respectfully have to disagree with you about the S24 ultra’s fingerprint sensor and face unlock. I tried this device and the build quality is fantastic and display is better than the iPhone 15pro. The reason why I return the device is because the fingerprint reader was inconsistent, and the face unlock suffers There is not enough light in the room and so you have to rely on the fingerprint sensor. The sensor is definitely better than the P8P, but definitely is not flawless. If it’s still the recommendation by most to enter 2 separate fingerprints of the same finger to get better accuracy, that tells you right away that it’s not that accurate. The face unlocked feature, which was better than the P8P, still suffered. When you first initially set up the face unlock, it tells you to take off your glasses, etc. and that works fine, but if later on you wear a hat because it’s cold outside, it has trouble recognizing your face. These small little things, the iPhone does not suffer from, and I would always rather take a phone that is more consistent in its applications, then having a phone that can do everything, and not be so consistent in the factors that matter the most.

    • Correct iphone users don't care. Only last year iphone upgraded from lightning cable to USB-C. (Only because they were forced). Iphone users will stay with inferior device (camera is a little better) because they think it's a status symbol pure and simple. Case closed.

  • WTH Samsung and Android deep customization is one of the major things that stick out to make themselves differentiate from IOS. On android Its not just the look of of your phone you can customize it's the functions and actions! You're crazy. The action button is literally one of a few actions you can customize in ios. They should of had actions like double press, triple press like Samsungs has... So I UX design for a living the customization level for iOS is what android was in 2011. And still ios faces the same customization theme and icon issues that android has. Icon and theme designers are usually a one man team. That one person literally has design for thousands of app icons . Its pretty much impossible to do so you wont have an icon for every app in the app and play stores. So as a UX designer I have designed icons . The minimum time a decent designer will take to work on a icon is maybe one hour or so for a certain theme and individual icons to replace the system icon. What's funny is a lot of the icon and theme designers on android started designing for the customization for IOS once apple allowed it.
