    @SlugSage@SlugSage5 жыл бұрын
    • J H. Booth I disagree, he didn’t take many clean, hard shots on the chin because he was a defensive wizard, but the few times he got caught hard he wobbled and held on for dear life.

    • @@Lemon-rk9hq no doubt, defensively he is a GOAT. The problem with Mayweather is that it's reeeeaaally easy to pick apart his résumé. He fought a lot of great fighters and found a way to beat them all. Facts. But for pride and business reasons he fought a lot of guys before or after their prime, and there are a lot of guys he didn't fight at all. Could he have beaten them? Probably. But he didn't make the fights. He will go down in history as a GOAT businessman and a GOAT defensive fighter but not a GOAT boxer; look at all the greats, Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, etc. They all have losses -- that's because they they weren't afraid to risk the record in pursuit of greatness. Frankly, Floyd doesn't deserve GOAT status because he didn't take the risks necessary to get there.

      @DumbVidsIMadeForAlex@DumbVidsIMadeForAlex5 жыл бұрын
    • @GYPSY KING FURY He was given time to recover by the referee -- that was totally crooked, and he looked rocked a couple of times in those fights. Decent chin but not legendary.

      @DumbVidsIMadeForAlex@DumbVidsIMadeForAlex4 жыл бұрын
    • Kellen SRL blatantly cherrypicked and openly avoided certain fighters and fought dudes past their prime. See when people hate on Floyd I wait to catch them by seeing whose name they bring up. We weren’t around to witness SRR fight nor is there footage for most of his career. He’s exempt. Ali fought everyone. Foreman fought everyone. Floyd had a much larger pool of talent to face than those two seeing as he wasn’t a HW. It would’ve been impossible for him to fight everyone. But he fought the MOST. Hating on his resume is silly, you might as well say all the names on it should’ve retired and shouldn’t have been Boxing. Because anything else doesn’t make sense. There’s no proof he ducked nor did it ever look like he ducked. Paul said Floyd didn’t duck him, Manny blatantly refused to be tested and Roach admitted manny turned the fight down because he didn’t wanna be tested. Floyd went up to 154 to fight Oscar and only came in at 150. Oscar made Floyd wear HW gloves. Manny drug Oscar DOWN to 147 where hadn’t fought in almost 10 years. Manny wore LW gloves. Manny did all that after Floyd had already beaten Oscar. That’s how you pick a resume apart.

  • Floyd may weather is my favourite athlete, he’s arguably the greatest sportsman of all time. He started his craft from when he was practically born, dedicated his life to boxing becoming a top prospect and a champion at such a young age, never did drugs never drank, always took the utmost care of his body, rarely getting out of shape. On top of that he was smart enough to probably take the littlest damage of any pro champion with as many fights as he has so he could have a long career and a long healthy life to enjoy his riches afterwards. He also knew how prize fighting works and learned how to promote and market fights to earn revenue thus being one of the highest earning athletes in history. He took long lay offs to build anticipation and minimize damage. And and top of all that he never lost. What other athlete has never lost in their pro career? None.

    • That a big fat lie. Floyd did drugs. Fact before the fight between him and Manny he violated Anti-Doping Rules. He received 2 Injection. Mayweather camp claim it was only "mixtures of saline solution and vitamins" on the injections. but with that time frame it could have masked another substances. The USADA also that time did not report it to NEVADA state, they only found it out 3 weeks after the fight was over.. If Nevada knew that Floyd violated Anti-Doping Rules, he would be disqualified. Your not suppose to take any injection a day before the fight.. Also if they were just vitamins, then he could consume it orally and not done by injections.

And he let Conor get to that round, Floyd could of had him out of there by 3 rounds, but he even said before the fight, I want to give the fans a show.
