Stories, stats, fluff, adds, eye candy galore, and an entertaining comic strip .. Citadel Journal was great. This was a fun time travel adventure, many hours have been spent pawing over the Journals and Ravening Hordes.

That’s a great and accurate summary. They were before my time but I did the same with early 90s White Dwarfs. Loved the stories. I can see how comics are too expensive to produce.

1987 - the year I encountered Citadel and tabletop gaming in general. Still remember my first battle of 5 vs 5 figs between two books and a glass of water as "scenery"... fantastic! 🙂

Those skeleton kits were amazingly well made and extremely versatile. They still hold up today.

I was given this by my Dads friend and I spent hours as a kid using that template to draw chaos warriors. Good Times!

The question is did you submit any sketches and win anything? 😃

@@stompie51 I was too late to submit unfortunately. But I'm pretty sure I spent a lot of time daydreaming about what a win would look like.

@tomwatkin The explosion of chaos plastics means there’s probably no permutation of armoured insanity not explored that you could purchase anyway.
