  • I never thought I would be a Twenty One Pilots' fan but I went on a date with a woman who had tickets for their concert in Columbus. I'm in my mid 30s and most of the crowd were teenagers. Honestly, it was one of the best concerts I've been to. I'm more of a prog metal fan, but I enjoy a lot of music, especially live. Their live show was so good and the songs were great. I would love to see them again live.

    • fellow prog metal enjoyer. twenty one pilots is the band that got me really interested in music (which i guess is responsible for getting me to explore other genres like prog and fusion). super cool that you're open minded about music like that and ended up enjoying their show!

    • Same. You can see the strong creative spirit. The same thing I feel from some prog metal bands or experimental ones like Enter Shikari, Linkin Park, Sleep Token, etc.

  • I love how everything is so personalized, I feel like so many artists nowadays have studios that are so typical and bare, but in josh's case literally every detail is thought out! I loveeee how he uses those bass drums as side tables and how he has a kit that is his treehouse aesthetic! its so him

  • I first saw twenty one pilots like 10 years ago when I was back in high school and they were small enough to play Emo’s in Austin as the headliner. Show wasn’t even sold out! So crazy to see how far they’ve come even if I don’t really vibe with their music anymore (Trench was their magnum opus IMO). They deserve all their success and the fruits of their labor. AMAZING home studio Josh. I wonder if Sweetwater will do a video with Tyler’s home studio as well 👀

  • 24:03 good choice of words, seeing that we (Coastal Calif) are in the midst of one heck of a "May Gray / June Gloom" that seems to be relentless this past month. Aside from that, so stoked for you and your wife on this amazing build and that kit is mindblowing! Love the kick and every part of that 'tree house' drum kit. Much love for the 805 Central Coast of California.

  • Very nicely done. I'm looking to build out my studio room later this year, and always looking for great inspiration, and this fits that bill!! The only critique I would have as a guitarist is to get something else instead of the Kemper as it's essentially outdated at this point (11 years? now, plus the capture process is overly complicated, and newer products have the same technology and can produce better results). A Quad Cortex, or the new Tone X, or an AFX 3 can yield much better results with far more flexibility for the same (or less) money. Granted he's a drummer and isn't as concerned with it, so I can understand the choice. Great work!!

    • Thanks for the feedback, Benson! 💙

      @sweetwater@sweetwater11 ай бұрын
    • There's certainly newer technology out there but if you think Kemper isn't capable of some incredible guitar tones you're out of your mind. A few years back before Tone-X or Quad Cortex there were bands doing worldwide arena tours with Kempers which sounded incredible. Those units don't sound any less incredible today. There's just some newer tech available.

      @BecomingProductions@BecomingProductions11 ай бұрын
    • @@BecomingProductions of course! My point is if I'm going to spend money on fitting a new studio today, I wouldn't invest in a Kemper as there's newer / better options now in that price range or less. The Kemper was a game changer when it came out, definitely deserves all the kudos for changing the industry the way that it did!
