  • Those tiny creatures at 3:35 are detritus worms and ostracod seed shrimps. Both are pretty beneficial in moderate numbers as they help consume decaying matter and leftover food etc in an aquarium. But in huge numbers, seed shrimps can attack live water plants. But in a natural setup like this, both are harmless and pretty interesting!

  • This vivarium is looking better than ever! Everyone seems to have settled in, and found their own piece of real estate. Love the crab, he is just too cute, and has clearly been busy. Did the water come from a natural pond somewhere? Those flat bugs are rather strange, it will be interesting to see how they fare, and I think the little tarantula is a cutie, I’m glad she found a suitable niche. I’m always delighted to see an update from you, and really enjoy the ever evolving life in there. Stay happy, and thanks for sharing.🖤🇨🇦

  • This is one of the best updates in the vivarium! Incredible! Well, I do not know anything about the water inhabitants: (in my opinion, the crab makes the lake terrible). flat bugs will very well affect the vivarium, will serve as food and will be cleaners. cockroaches same. I HAVE INTERESTING IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS: add isopods for cleaning, praying mantis, centipedes, water scorpions, water striders. It will also be very interesting to add chelifer cancroides. and again I ask: give each inhabitant a breeding partner. You can also plant plants like strawberries to give vivarium sugar etc. add very moisture-loving plants to strengthen the soil near the lake (will not fall into the lake).

U can actualy find them all over the eu even in both norway and sweden, but if im correct u live now in sa-Asia. So i think u could buy one of those then u will have a water beast. It will almost be like a crocodille for the insects. Maybe u can try that.

  • This is a really cool video! I enjoyed how laid-back the presentation style was and saying the various inverts. This is a perfect diverse invert system. I think it's really cool but I also have some suggestions about amphibians people keep asking about. I don't know everything but I just want to bring up some things of concern. I would say that this might not be a good idea to have frogs and salamanders inside because there are a lot of predators that would eat young frogs and etc. But larger frogs could clean out the tank if there are enough of them. Frogs also could get sick from the fungus and such. The crab and spiders could catch the frogs which would be sad. But if you are just going with having species of all kinds (which is okay) then it's not a problem. I just wanted to mention some possible problems to be helpful not negative. It's still very cool and I enjoyed watching! I have crickets in my setup and enjoy watching them breed and evade the frogs in my setups. I love your snails and slugs! Why don't you get some large Millipedes? Also a Green Snake that eats insects would be interesting. You can introduce Black Soldier Flies offspring and ha e the flies transform in your setup. They will dig into the dirt and then just come up on their own! A hissing cockroach would also do good.

I have one enclosure with snails, large millipedes and a little tree frog and some lizards. In another setup I have large whites tree frogs living with a betta fish. For my largest enclosure I keep two native species of amphibian together which I have researched and studied. My channel is centered around the American Toad so that's one of the animals in the large enclosure however I'm not going to reveal the other just yet because I want to surprise the viewers on my channel. The only reason I bring up some of my setups is because they are ecosystems just like you have. I'm going to be releasing different insects after the builds get started. @bluebowser3121@bluebowser31215 жыл бұрын
  • I'm quite sure that these water "beatles" are Ostracods. In German they are called "Muschelkrebs" (=mussel crab) because they have two shells on the sides of their bodies. Here is some nice info about them: www.biwahaku.jp/smith/facts.html They could be the species "Cypridopsis vidua" because of their coloration. Ostracods can lay eggs that can completely dry out so they maybe came into the vivarium via the substrate...

A bigger paludarium will be needed for that... if i will be rich enough and get all the ingredients in the future I'm planning to make a gigantic paludarium, as big as possible. Maybe when I achieve my totally impossible dream in the future i will dl it myself.

  • The crickets will eat your tarantula when it molts. If you don't want it to die you should put it into a new enclosure, otherwise unless the crickets are all eaten, removed or otherwise killed they will kill and eat it. They could also potentially kill your crab and roaches as they molt, although if the crab stays below the water table it is probably safe

    • How do tarantulas survive in nature if simple crickets eat them when they molt¿ its far more dangerous there

      @nordicants6232@nordicants62325 жыл бұрын
