This issue occurs on several of my mousepads. I’ve also tried another mouse on this mousepad, and it works fine.

Shine a flashlight at your mouse pad in a bunch of directions, you will see reflections at certain directions. It’s like putting your mouse on a mirror, the light is reflecting back and it can’t track anything at certain orientations depending on the fabric weave direction of the mousepad.

Seems like it has to do something with light polarisation of the mouse laser, maybe your mousemat is like a polarizing filter and perfectly absorbs the mouses light at 90 deg orientation

I’m very late but I’m guessing it’s the mousepad. Probably the fabrics. The direction in which the mouse faces changes how it picks up the fabric on the mousepad. Much like how when you turn some glasses sideways you can change how the light reflects through, blocking out screens.

The laser can’t track the lines in the mousepad going horizontal because that’s the direction the mousepad is stitched in. It’s like counting the seams in a pair of denim jeans, but instead of going left to right, you just go up or down. You’re only gonna count one.

I used to play on a high sens when I first started FPS games now I play on a really low sense and you know it's low when my mouse pad is as big as my desk I have a 60% keyboard tilted 90° and I still use all my mouse room and nothing else is on my desk

To those that question the 90° mouse position. That's irrelevant. If you use a lower sens, your mouse won't be straight all the time, you'll tilt it, probably hitting 45° at some point, hence his issue. He probably was curious how far the issue can go.

Try lowering your pulling rate (Hz, time it takes to send position to pc) to 250-500-1000 hz. I had a similar problem with valorent where my mouse (bloody j95s) would skip and nit register, I lowered the pulling rate (Hz) is the software to 1000 Hz and valorent work flawlessly

My guess is probably something to do with your mouse pad and like the stitching pattern makes it hard for the sensor to determine what way the mouse if moving( or if it's moving at all) when you line it up with the stitching right

The issue at hand is becase of how long the cord has been bent in a certain direction there for it has been messing with the electronics this is why getting a higher or lower desk can effect your mouse if it is not treated properly

Deathadder has two lasers that check for differences between them two. And require special mouse pad that are not your random cloth mouse pads. What happens is that lasers align perfectly with lines at specific angles creating no difference. That's why the mouse just stops moving at some surfaces that are seemingly perfect

It's definitely the surface that it's on. Anyway this mouse is a very old deathadder, like more than 10 years old. This thing is before the DeathAdder had the green light and eventually chroma lighting. This thing is a relic and it's pretty impressive that it's still working at all!

This is because the foam coating of rhe mousepad is polarising the already polarized light coming from the mouse led plastic lens, so when the reflected (+90º) polarized light try to get into the lenses to the detector it actually gets blocked by the lens. You could see this effect with a pair of sunglasses, you put one lens above the other one and rotate 90º so the filtering comes darker until no light is going through.

This problem isn’t about the mouse being rotated causing it. It’s broken wires inside the sleeve that aren’t getting contact at 90° are getting some contact at 45° and are good because of where the wires are routed at your standard position.

garuntee it’s because you’ve had the mouse for a while and the wire is used to it being bent an the top a bit, so you’ve damaged it. when you put the mouse 90 degrees, the wire hasn’t been bent like that before

Shine a flashlight at your mouse pad in a bunch of directions, you will see reflections at certain directions. It’s like putting your mouse on a mirror, the light is reflecting back and it can’t track anything at certain orientations depending on the fabric weave direction of the mousepad.

I’m very late but I’m guessing it’s the mousepad. Probably the fabrics. The direction in which the mouse faces changes how it picks up the fabric on the mousepad. Much like how when you turn some glasses sideways you can change how the light reflects through, blocking out screens.

The laser can’t track the lines in the mousepad going horizontal because that’s the direction the mousepad is stitched in. It’s like counting the seams in a pair of denim jeans, but instead of going left to right, you just go up or down. You’re only gonna count one.
Stop saying bs. When it's rotated, he moves it around in circles, not a straight line, so the direction of the stitches doesn't have any impact at all. Funny how many stupid people liked this comment, believing this nonsense.

I used to play on a high sens when I first started FPS games now I play on a really low sense and you know it's low when my mouse pad is as big as my desk I have a 60% keyboard tilted 90° and I still use all my mouse room and nothing else is on my desk
To those that question the 90° mouse position. That's irrelevant. If you use a lower sens, your mouse won't be straight all the time, you'll tilt it, probably hitting 45° at some point, hence his issue. He probably was curious how far the issue can go.

Try lowering your pulling rate (Hz, time it takes to send position to pc) to 250-500-1000 hz. I had a similar problem with valorent where my mouse (bloody j95s) would skip and nit register, I lowered the pulling rate (Hz) is the software to 1000 Hz and valorent work flawlessly

The issue at hand is becase of how long the cord has been bent in a certain direction there for it has been messing with the electronics this is why getting a higher or lower desk can effect your mouse if it is not treated properly

Deathadder has two lasers that check for differences between them two. And require special mouse pad that are not your random cloth mouse pads. What happens is that lasers align perfectly with lines at specific angles creating no difference. That's why the mouse just stops moving at some surfaces that are seemingly perfect

Nice to know I'm not the only one with razer item issues, I have a razer blackwidow elite and lately it has decided to delete all the profiles on razer synapse, I can't add anymore and I tried installing a profile and it just makes the keyboard have no light meaning I have to restart my pc and make sure not to open razer synapse

This is coming from a dude who knows nothing about raser mice, but it might be the configuration of ur mouse pad and it doesn’t allow the mouse to function. Probs not true but just a theory

Its just your cord, having it the way that it works keeps tension on the wires but putting it 90 degrees gets rid of all tension on the cord thus making it have a break in the current flow

I’m pretty sure it was just the cord having issues somehow and so when you turn the mouse it actually is reconnecting the cord to itself
I don't have any razer products but maybe you can make your mouse learn Ur mouse pad and then it only works with that mouspad and no other stitching patterns?

This problem isn’t about the mouse being rotated causing it. It’s broken wires inside the sleeve that aren’t getting contact at 90° are getting some contact at 45° and are good because of where the wires are routed at your standard position.
garuntee it’s because you’ve had the mouse for a while and the wire is used to it being bent an the top a bit, so you’ve damaged it. when you put the mouse 90 degrees, the wire hasn’t been bent like that before
