Bear vs. shark vs. hippo. It's on.
Kay Duff // bear would lose because of how small its mouth is and how rubbery the shark and hippos skin is so the claws of a bear wouldn't do enough. Hippos have no jaw so it could could take a bite out of a shark. And a shark could take out the hippos legs. It's all basically on how you see it

Maria Lewis fluff you im a kid you know ive made this mistake before
The bear is definitely dead
* watches a show called unsolved * * gets mad when they don’t solve it *
lmfao same like i wanted to know what happened to her leg
it's not called unsolved for a reason
@@judesliggoo i died trying to figure out what this meant
@@kohanahowell855 what does that mean? Haha it's too tough
They actually did accidentally solve a case
For some reason, this case really gets me. Regardless of who or what killed her, she still died a horribly painful death, and the idea of her body floating all alone in the sea while small sharks feed off of her is really chilling. I hope she's resting in peace.
The only thing I can think of that gave her all those injuries at the same time and while she was still alive would be getting hit by a boat and it's propeller cutting off her leg.
@@rudy1999 hey that seems like a great explanation
I think its a shark attack. People are misconstruing things. That leg was taken by a great white. Or ya know what, may be she drowned and died and then later the sharks came and fed on her. But that leg was definitely taken by a great white. Sometimes their bite isnt clean, they shake water violently to break meat apart and when they are shaking the sand comes up if its in shallow water. And may be thats why sand was in her body. This is a shark attack in shallow water. Nothing more.
@@GeekRaj A great white without teeth? In water shallow enough for her to breathe in sand? Nah, that's ridiculous, the SHARK EXPERT said that none of the damage was consistent with a great white attack.
@@GeekRaj the shark scientists disagree largely

Wait u have 6900 likes...

Jessica vandecasteele what dos that mean?
Lmao
Wait ... Literally NONE of the theories explain the missing leg. That's what'd really bothering me
Emily Silberger Not only that but the cliff theory is shaky, I mean how can you swallow sand after you broke your neck? As for the drowning theory, how can you break you neck while drowning? None of these theories explain these fully.
Emily Silberger For real! Where the hell is the leg? If a shark couldn't do that, what did that?
Kennady Boone maybe you would be interested in the theory that I actually wrote myself...plus if you Google: trainers killed by orcas, you will find the similarities in injuries..a few years ago off the coast of Hawaii a woman was pulled to the bottom in deep waters by an orca who was not in captivity. We know this because after dragging her to the bottom, the whale recognized that the woman was in distress and brought her back to the top! But what if it had not recognized that?
Kennady Boone a pirate with a wooden leg that felt alone so he carved her leg bone into a point XD I got nothin
Emmiipuff Ah you gave me an idea. Maybe the murderer wanted to drown her so he held her head under the water, and maybe it was shallow water and that's how she swallowed sand. But then he broke her neck for some reason, maybe drowning was taking too long. Then he cut off her leg and threw her in the water to make people think it was a shark attack. He placed her bag on the beach further down to make people think she'd gone for a swim but was attacked by sharks.
They should ANALYZE THE SAND FOUND IN HER STOMACH, THROAT AND LUNGS!! The exact ratio and size of particles of sand found on the shallow beach will be different than sand found on the bottom of the ocean!! The detectives need to request the testing be done and send the samples of the sand to the crime lab!!
This comment needs to be pinned to the top lol
if the sand was emptyed out llike "ooooo sand, throw it in the trash" then this comment would be useless unless they stored it somewhere
It's big brain time 🙃
This is so smart
I think that is standard procedure, these days, to analyze every piece of evidence even stuff that may seem insignificant. Besides, sand washes in and out of the ocean with the waves and current. Last major tsunami that hit Japan brought a lot of stuff from that country onto the California coast.
I just realized that if Decker really did kill her, it would make sense that he would be so open about the fact that she was back at his apartment and they were doing things together, because that could explain any sorts of fingerprints or DNA that they might've found on her in a way that wouldn't incriminate him.
Most or all evidence is usually washed away when the body is in the water for much time at all

For the whole "went for a midnight swim by herself and drowned" theory... it feels really unlikely that a young woman did that, we know how dangerous it is for us to go anywhere alone especially withour leaving any indication of where we are going. None of my friends will even get in an uber without texting someone where they are going just in case they go missing... I wouldnt be surprised if its the Decker guy.
Yeah this theory is definitely false because it also doesn’t explain why her leg was missing
seems like he had no motive
Right especially when it's midnight and going swimming that's asking for trouble
especially since she’s had a stalker before
Absolutely agree. All women should use some sort of family/friends safety system, stalker or no. Certainly, no woman in her right mind who's dealing with a stalker is going to go for a midnight swim off of a lonely stretch of beach. I had a stalking issue years ago, and while I tried very hard not to live every day in fear, it's difficult not to start plotting out every move and planning every grocery store trip like a general before battle.
Ok, I live in California near the beach and shark attacks are uncommon in general, and I have never heard of people going for a midnight swim because it is illegal. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it is more possible that she was dropped in there by someone who killed her. And also if the lifeguard saw her swimming naked that's illegal so the lifeguard is either mistaken or did not report illegal activity.
yeah, and sharks don't even like the taste of humans! they just mistake people for seals and attack. once they take a bite, they usually go away.
Tbh yea sharks do not like human's meat and they usually go away when they see humans due to the clear water (depends on where they live) and tbh I think she was murdered on the cliff fell down broke her neck and ribs as she kept rolling tried to call for help as she was moving until she was floating? Idk
@@chasingthemoon.663 WAIT THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! SHE PROBABLY WAS MURDERED AND FELL OFF THE CLIFF, I THINK YOU SOLVED IT.
Well... i live in SD and a ton of people are out at night at the beach constantly
It is not illegal to go to the beach or swim at night in California. It’s not recommended you swim at night, but it’s not against the law. If it’s true that she liked to swim or surf naked then so what? There’s no reason to be surprised that a lifeguard didn’t call the police on her for that even if that story is true.
The whole “join an investigation so they won’t suspect me as the killer” thing is literally the plot of death note

Hi - it is so fucked up
Good poetry is often very fucked up.
Edwin Decker def killed her. His statements about a romantic connection and all that are some suspicious red flags - not to mention the poem that he PUBLISHED. That poem is HUUUUGE red flag. Either he is the killer and is pretty bad at hiding it, or he is just a straight up weirdo with no sense of social boundaries...
I think he's just a dork who has no future in poetry.
what actual evidence do you base this off of? He wrote a cringy poem, okay. But murder?
Wait…are we sure that Decker and the anonymous stalker are different people?
Oh my
She'd recognize him though, right? So I doubt that, unless Decker completely made up the story about them talking and spending time together. Which, to be fair, is stalker behavior but there'd have to be people corroborating with that story
Yeah decker seems sus af

My Theory: The bartender guy was the stalker and just told people that he and her had a connection and that they slept together. All that BS was from his POV and we didn't hear her say it herself. He also got the surfing thing wrong which is weird. In the poem he says "Like the shark" which supposedly killed her. He's basically saying his intentions for her are that of a murderer. Plus no one knew what she was wearing underneath the trench coat could've been dress not a shirt.
Makes sense, I found it a little weird that he described himself having a fairly normal relationship with her, only hinting that she didn’t like him as much as he liked her, then he turned around and published the creepiest poem in the world, like he was pleased with her death. I think he just made up them being a couple completely. He probably met her as a bartender, became the stalker, maybe approached her a few times, got burned by her fear of him, then killed her in jealous rage and readily fed the police this shark attack story. That he seemed so casual about retelling the life of this women he supposedly was in a loving relationship with, and even compared himself to the shark, is super creepy.
And if you read his poem properly, the last sentence said, "chewed on her lips and TOOK OFF HER SHIRT" Damn. I bet 100% that guy is the stalker plus the MURDERER! And if im not wrong; before he kill her, he raped her. Creepy asf. This case should be re-open.
@@-caesarian-6078 Plus, his poem makes him seem like such a creeper that I would not be surprised at all if he sawwed off her leg as a trophy.
we really just ignoring how her leg bone was whittled down TO A POINT??? Like is there someone out there cutting about with a bone sharpener?
The way it's discribed makes it sound way more unnatural than it probably was. Fractures from blunt force due to falls/car accidents can produce that kind of break (and a severely fractured leg plus ocen creatures may explain what happened to her leg later). I'm assuming there's so much focus on it due to how different the presentation is than a bone broken by a Great White clamping down and biting.
Obvious murder to me, you guys?
I'm on your side Cas :D
Agreed
Castiel Imposter what about the missing leg?
notsimon5 wouldn't be surprised if she got tortured. Cut off her leg while she was STILL alive. And possible forced drowning as well.
notsimon5 it's a cover up, the guy, most likely stalker, inflicted the wounds on her to make it look like a shark attack when it wasn't

Carrie Johnstonxx why cant a child watch these videos?
What if a motor boat rammed into her in shallow water, and her leg got torn off by the propeller and she was screaming underwater and inhaled water and sand...so she swallowed the sand that way :/ They did say her wounds seemed like they were caused by a "car" accident and her leg wasn't torn off neatly..
That just..... sucks.... yeah that just sucks
It’s a bit far fetched Mate ngl
That would lead to more of a messy cut completely unlike a broken leg or a shark bite-- motorboat cuts are absolutely terrible. It would have also punctured the femoral artery (which rules out shark attack) and she would have instantly bled to death which would make it impossible for her to inhale the sand. I agree with the theory that the leg was broken from blunt trauma and a scavenger took the leg off.
you might me onto something-
that’s,,, actually a pretty good theory. looking at some propeller injuries, it’s definitely brutal enough.

We know someone removed her clothes before she went into the water and planted her purse on the beach after her body was found. I think that same someone attacked her on land and then took her out on a boat to dispose of her, but despite being severely injured, she was still alive when she went into the water. The boat's propellor cut off her leg as her murderer left the scene, causing the damage to her femur. She subsequently died from a combination of blood loss and drowning, and sharks fed on her body after she died. Her murderer might have believed her body would be lost at sea, but after her body was discovered, planted her purse on the beach where it would be easily found to make it look more like she had chosen to go to the beach. They didn't plant her clothes, though, which makes me think they had already destroyed them or her clothes had some sort of evidence on them, such as the murderer's blood. Of course this is all speculation, but this is what I came up with to make all of the (publicly known) details fit.
Yea absolutely yours seems really fitting I also think it was that motorcycle cycle guy and had to check in on the autopsy reports to see if any evidence was pointing to him or maybe even after he dropped her in he didn't really know what happened like the leg removal or he was racked with guilt because it was some kind of violent "accident" and he had to clean it up by getting rid of her and leaving no loose ends
but remove the shark part
Boat propeller was totally my thought too. Those things can cause serious damage, especially in larger boats/ships which will just obliterate people. Wouldn't be surprised if she was thrown over board before or after her death.

The “helping out investigators” thing is a real thing sociopaths do. I had a coworker rob me by copying a key in my coat during work... the whole time I looked for my key he was “helping” me look for it.
Yep, I’ve seen enough Criminal Minds to know that some psychopaths will inject themself into the investigation in order to gain some sort of satisfaction.
Sociopaths who also do crime*, since having a DSM-5 cluster B personality disorder doesn't make you a criminal. People are not their diagnoses and a condition doesn't determine if you're a good or bad person. But yeah, I got to know someone who, after I learned the truth about him, met the criteria for psychopathy/sociopathy (e.g., glib, grandiose sense of self-worth, little to no affective or emotional empathy). He had a warrant out for his arrest but would go out of his way to talk to police, trying to chitchat with them and charm them. He also stole my debit card while I was sleeping to buy a tv and DVD player that he gave me as a "gift," because he would hang out at my place a lot and all I had to watch stuff on was a laptop. When I later found hundreds of dollars missing from my account, he kept his poker face as I called my bank, reported it missing, made follow-up calls, tried to figure out what could have happened.
There was this one case where a little girl was abducted and killed and the murderer volunteered every chance he got and even raised money to help find this girl that he had killed

Good eye 😭
It has happened quite often that the murderer helps the police. Like often when a person ”goes missing” the murderer will help the police and other search groups look for them. Just so people will see them help out and think they’re innocent. Actually, the fact that this guy is as invested as he is seems even more suspicious. He’s not a relative or a close family friend or even a boyfriend. He’s just some guy who had the hots for her and got pissed of when she didn’t call him.

yeah but if she was paralysed and right before she died her face was against the bottom of the ocean and when she tried to breathe she would swallow a little bit of sand everytime. eventually having a lot of sand in her stomach

I was wondering ‘59 degrees? That’s pretty hot.’ Then I realized Oh Fahrenheit They’re talking about Fahrenheit
Who tf swims in that temperature...
- AboodGamingYT - everyone who uses the metric system
59 degrees Fahrenheit means 15 Celsius is actually not that cold apparently
I googled so that's the consensus vote supposedly but everyone is different when it comes to hot and cold
59 degrees is *pretty* hot? Bruh your skin could burn
OmG their conversations are the only thing that keep me sane and not get scared af 😂

Question: who was the life guard that also said she surfs naked when only Edwin can support that claim, how do we know that the 2 don’t know each other or if the life guard was the creepy stalker tho that could be Edwin too if he had a motorcycle but the fact that those 2 were the only ones that said yea she go naked is worth more investigating the lifeguard and Edwin like do they know each other does one of them have a motorcycle if anybody knows feel free to comment
Next time you wonder why a lady is a little nervous remember this case. Her murderer could have been creepy “spiritual/emotional/physical connection” poem dude, her unknown stalker, or a shark. And of the three, the freaking shark is the least likely.
I cringe at the thought that she was alive during her injuries. I just hope she was unconscious..
Usually humans go into shock before they are unconscious. If she was awake durring the event she probably didn't feel it because her brain shut down feeling durring her fight or flight response.
@@thelittlefleck2174 I really hope so :'(

The oddest thing that would break the case open for me is an explanation as to why her leg bone was sharpened to a point. They determined that likely would not have been a result of a shark attack and if it was a murder I don't see any evidence that would indicate the killer would have done anything that would cause that either (fundamentally she was drowned and her neck was broken; this feels like a crime of passion and not a killer that is purposely cutting off her leg) so what could have happened in any circumstance that caused her leg to be missing and torn to a point?
The only logical explanation I could see was that her leg got stuck in a boat propeller and cut it off. I don't see why a killed would bother cutting her leg off, it would just be more of a hassle and more evidence to destroy. And her bone sharpen to a point is very specific, even if cutting her leg was a sloppy job, I don't think it would be cut to a point like described. But then why did the missing leg never turn up anywhere? Unless maybe the sharks ate it
Yeah the leg bit confuses me as well, it's clear tools weren't used otherwise that would have shown up on the report
Every time he says “...shall remain unsolved” at the end it sends shivers down my spine
They need a series called ‘Buzzfeed Solved’. OH GOD THAT WOULD RELEASE THE STRESS FROM THIS.
YESSSS!! THESE CAN BE SOOOO UNSETTLING
Yesssssss and hi Army

BuzzFeed solved: cases we've accidentally solved
Episodes that NEED to happen The JonBenét Ramsey case The mystery of the missing flight MH370 The Titanic The Edinburgh vaults Adam Walsh murder The Bermuda Triangle Madam LaLaurie case
i agree with all except the titanic one because we clearly know that what happened was the speed of the ship having hit the iceberg, with the ship not not being allowed enough time or space to turn and avoid the collision considering not only the speed but also its size and weight. unless that is not the point you want to know and it's something else...?
MH370 would be too short
Mari i think the commenter is mentioning the theory of the titanic actually not being the titanic, instead it was another ship.
mina _ko1 - still, that is widely unquestionable - i mean, you have so much evidence, be it on data from the time and now through various forms, and investigators have confirmed that the ship which was decomposing in the bottom of the atlantic ocean was indeed the titanic so i don't think there is much to pick on in that case... there are far more mysterious and interesting cases than this one.

They're both wrong; the most dangerous all terrain animal is a Crocodile.
I'm going to throw my hat in the ring for a tiger, but in any of these debates, the surrounding environment/circumstances will always be a key factor...I do agree that crocs are efficient and lethal in their habits.

None of the theories explain that PART OF HER LEG WAS MISSING AND THE BONE SHARPENED TO A POINT
If she was pushed off a cliff, a rock could've possibly broken her leg the murderer could've then ripped off completely to make it look like a shark attack. The way the coroner described the bone made me think of it being pierced by a sharp, large rock, and then very human force pulling it back and forth until it snaps completely. Probably a bit gruesome for the creepy-ass poet, but I wouldn't put it above a violent stalker.
no one To be fair most of the ocean hasn't been explored yet, someone could have pushed her off a cliff and into the ocean where she got most of her injuries then she could have been attacked by an animal we still don't know about
I don't even think thats possible, the way a femur is structured its just hard for me imagine it. The femur is basically a cylinder made of hard bone containing a tortuous structure of spongy bone and bone marrow i dont see how it could have been sharpened to a point via a naturally occuring force, maybe they meant the ridges were really sharp like when you break glass which happens in high energy trauma so maybe she fell from the cliff broke her leg badly along with her neck and the sharks only finished the job by pulling on the almost severed member
She could've fallen from the cliff and broken her femur in half, and maybe the break from such force was "pointy." Then, a tide could've come and washed her body into the water where sharks began to eat her and were able to pull her leg off since it could've been a clean break and only skin keeping it attached. And maybe she wasn't dead quite yet from the fall, and regained consciousness as she was being eaten. (The "fall" could also have been her being slammed into the rocks from a rip current, where she also could've sustained the first femur break)
Maybe whoever killed her (assuming someone did) did that to try and make it look like a shark attack?
Idk why these are so scary to me. Something about the music or something, idk. Reading the comments helps. Makes me feel like I'm not alone lol. How are you guys doing?
Krystle Lewis same. im doing bad, i lost my phone so i borrowed my mum's lol. But other than that im good
Krystle Lewis giiiirl I feel the same!! The music is always so creepy but the thing that creeps me out the most is that we will never know what happened to all those people in these unsolved mistery stories.. so sad and also terrifying
dude same, if they didnt have the music it wont be that scary
I feel the same as well! I feel great tbh, thanks for asking!!
It's the music. Shark attacks are not scary to me but that music gets my heart beating as fast as it does when I hear gunshots.
Stalker and bartender were the same guy. That's my theory.
