FINALLY - after 8 years - Samsung has made the change we've been waiting for! Grab a Teardown skin for your own phone HERE: www.dbrand.com/teardown I have personally been using a Samsung phone from way back to the old school Galaxy S1 Vibrant Days. So to finally see Samsung take this new Galaxy S23 Ultra and add a replaceable battery is a HUGE DEAL. I'm very excited about how the Galaxy S23 Ultra line is changing direction to be more repairable. Get the S23 Ultra at Samsung: howl.me/ckF4auAVZYt

  • What i learnt from this video - Always remember to listen to that battery sticker and pull out. - Its ok if you sometimes put it in the wrong hole (no damage) - Keep the screen working so you dont have to make eye contact - Its a good idea to have foam balls, it makes things sound bigger and better.

  • Zach's major problem in every galaxy device teardown is Samsung using strong adhesives to glue the battery to the device, but now Samsung has started using Pull Tabs, I am sure Zach can now finally upgrade to the S23 Ultra from his Note 10 Plus!.

    @ezenwajoseph@ezenwajoseph Жыл бұрын
    • If Zach actually takes care of his battery over the years that he has, there is basically no need to replace. My Note 10+ after almost 4 years of use, gets a little over 6 hours of on screen use from 90 to 10. Only reason why I got the S23 ultra was that I got almost $700 off trading in so it was a no brainer after 4 years. But I am not getting the super great battery that everyone else is getting. 8 hours of off screen time when sleeping is almost 3-4% battery loss from this phone which is the same as my note 10+

      @iMrParker@iMrParker Жыл бұрын
    • @95thRiflesOCI the Note 10+ also has a 700 mAh smaller battery, and the S23Ultra has a faster clocked CPU so I think that it ends up balancing out. You're getting similar battery life on a device that has much newer, faster, and more capable technology.

The difference is the Note 9 didn't have the most amazing software and the market hadn't become quite as good yet and I could tell. With the S22 Ultra it really feels like we're in the age of peak smartphone. The hardware is so rock solid, the improvements are now gonna be related mostly to AI.

Usually Jerry tears the phone down to the point where the phone becomes worthless because the manufacturer of the phone doesn't want you tearing it apart so you wind up destroying the phone in the process of tearing it apart. Awesome job Samsung, finally a phone worthy of owning.

  • Kudos to Samsung for making major improvements in the repairability department. Between the 4 years of software updates and easy to replace internals, this might well be the best long-term smartphone purchase you can make.
