    • I didn't like Apple products in the first place so I really would not have cared if they also didn't launch a trend for every other company to follow, but here we are... By the way, apparently this was made to force people to use wireless earbuds which are extremely cheap to make, and on which these company make quite a bit of profit (Samsung 😬) because nobody has a clue about what is quality sound. Really a great move, now I get to dispose of four batteries every time I have to replace my phone... And sound quality is obviously worse. Ahhrr !! 🤯

    • Well that's apple for you, all they care about is money and people buy their things just for the status of owning an apple product. I'm a android user due to this, I've always wanted an apple product but literally who has the money for their devices especially when it's brand new? With the money that it costs they could do a lot with the iPad meaning that they could have definitely added an audio jack.

  • The "iPad" (without, Air, Pro, or mini) is the school model. The air gap between the digitizer and the LCD is because most students break the digitizer only so it keeps repair costs way down. We pay ~$30 per digitizer replacement. This saves us a bunch as we repair a few 100 a week for repair. 45,000 iPads cost at lot, not just to buy but to maintain. Schools are also why the iPad 9th generation is still on sale, we have a fleet of 8th generation models and want to continue to buy the 9th generation as long as possible.

And because its stored inside the laptop on a thinkpad, you never lose the pen, which I can say with confidence because I've had mine for 5 years now and I'm still using the original pen.

    @endrminr8386@endrminr8386 Жыл бұрын
    • No, I'm pretty sure the battery is split in two *because* apple is aware of the weakness at that point. They want the ipad to break at that specific point if someone were to try to bend it until it breaks like this. Can't have that battery being punctured and exploding when some idiot teenager thinks it would be funny to fold an ipad for shits-n-giggles.

This is a common failure point on many phones and tablets in this case. It could be a simple as putting a the new cable and measuring how much it moves up and down or side to side.
