    • In the UK that link automatically sends me to a different mousetrap (flip side bucket lid mouse trap). I assume it is because your specific trap is not available on the uk website, so the amazonians send buyers to a different trap. You might need to add a warning or something to your description. Looks like a great trap, congratulations.

    • And let's be real, that mouse was literally 1 in 100. A 99% success rate is still amazing. Edit: Yes, I get it, he caught 100 mice and one got away, meaning 101 mice shown. But guess what, he had to catch that extra one to account for the one that got away, which got away from the original 100, requiring that extra one be caught. It's still a 99% success rate because the extra was extra, and the test was to 100. Oh, and to the guy saying 99% is bad... how's your batting average?

  • I have a question/suggestion for your trap. Would you consider making the lid transparent? I’m considering buying it but I live out in the woods and I would place this trap outside my home, maybe even dog a hole and place the bucket in it to make it easier for rodent to access the trap. My worry is that snakes will also go into the trap. I really don’t want to go to remove the trap each time not knowing what to expect and have snakes in there, as I’m terrified of them. The popular bait traps one might see against a commercial building also have a transparent lid. It would also help in seeing if we caught something without having to remove the lid. Anyways, just a suggestion. Really hope you read this and considering making it transparent!

  • Years ago I saw a documentary about native peoples who live on islands and have problems with mice and rats. They dig pits and bait them, but make the bait unreachable. After serval mice /rats are trapped in the pit and begin to starve, they start eating each other. The claim made is that the mice /rats become cannibalistic and when they are down to a few mice / rats, they lower down rope for them to climb out. These released mice /rats retain the cannibalistic nature and begin hunting and eating other mice /rats preferring the young ones and by doing so they work to help keep down the population. They also believed that these cannibalistic ones taught the behavior to their offspring as well. Supposedly with a year the island would see drops of up to 90% in the mice /rat populations.

  • What you really need to do is an an inductance strip to the entrance that illuminates an led and place a chute under the spinner that leads to a chicken coop. That way as a mouse enters the trap, the led lets the chickens know a morsel is on the way and after the mouse falls into the chute it’s just become a fast food order

  • Interestingly, the main reason I trust you that this is such an amazing mousetrap is not only that you showed the footage but rather that because I've followed your channel for years, I feel like I learned a decent amount of mousetrap theory and I'm beginning to be able to tell a good design when I see one. I purchased the mousetrap you have previously called the best ever and it's worked so I anticipate buying this one both because I have faith in it and also because I simply desire to support the good work you do.

  • Another spot that works both on the flip and your spin trap to put bait is the underside of the cover - top center, and then at 45 degrees (half-way) on either side. This way they will reach for it and cause the platform to move, but because it's out of reach it doesn't get eaten. Just make sure you disassemble these before storing, as they still work for longer than is stomachable ( and what a horrible way to go ). I'll spare the details.
