Exercise to Improve Speed, Stamina & Fitness

2023 ж. 12 Шіл.
5 008 929 Рет қаралды

Here’s an exercise that helps improve your speed, stamina and overall match fitness.
1. Sprint the length of a full sided field at maximum intensity.
2. Once you reach the end perform a slow recovery jog across the width of the field.
3. After jogging across the width, sprint the length again.
4. Finally turn and walk the width of the field to our start point. This will equal one full repetition.
Once you reach the start point repeat the entire sequence again. Be sure to Keep track of how many reps you complete and aim to improve slightly each workout.

I got game tomorrow :) To catch my breath and get rid of fatigue quickly during the match or practice, I take a big inhale until 90% of my lungs then take another inhale to fill my lungs to 100%. It helps to get rid of fatigue fairly quickly. It has become my favorite way of breathing instead of panting and bending over 😂 I learnt it from Dr Andrew Huberman :)

It began with a walk, then a light jog, followed by long strides or 'stepping' and ended in a full sprint. Most beginners could not go beyond 5 sets intially. It was really effective for footballers seeking an edge over their opponents.

  • It reminds me the Gareth Bale's training, back in the days he started to get recognised by his speed and endurance in his matches. For me it's basics like the suicides in "Coach Carter" movie for basketball players. Or the Blue-Back-Red-Back-Blue-Back in the hockey training. It's essentialls for the every player in every sport including running.

  • we did almost the same in the youth, only difference we sprintet diagonal across the field and jogged the width, our coach called it the roman ten X we started smaller and as we grew older we began to enlargen the marked zones until we reached the whole field
