    • Yeah, but there are singers who can do all of the studio vocals for the entire show headbang and dance at the same time. Floor Jansen is proof you can do studio stuff and not damage your voice. She is an amazing singer and a vocal coach so she knows what she is doing.

    • Naaa... That's a cop out answer. If you can't hit a note every time you perform, you shouldn't have recorded it in the 1st place! You gotta be realistic with what you can really belt out..

      @sarahherbert85@sarahherbert852 жыл бұрын
    • @@sarahherbert85 That is not how the way music industry currently is doing unfortunately. Singing in the studio doesn't need the stamina, you can just belt it out loud for a few seconds take and then take a break. Live concert you don't have that privilege unless you are a Freddy Mercury.

      @theruckinmaul1460@theruckinmaul14602 жыл бұрын
    • "Best approach?" It's a cop-out. There are vocalists out there doing entire tour cycles and still manage to sing the vocal run as it was recorded. But then this is what separates the rookies from the masters.

It’s completely another to sing an entire concert and be on an adrenaline high that might screw with your vocal control. Good for them for knowing their limits and dodging notes or changing song key to keep their voices safe so they can last the duration of the concert

    @Roanoak@Roanoak5 жыл бұрын
    • Exactly...people dont seem to,understand this. You damage yourself to do this... They arent gonna risk permanent damage to hit a few nots on the regular. Also out of a controlled environment these types of notes are also 50 times more difficult to,hit. In the studio you can hit it several times and they use the best of the best recording AND enhance it.

    • Aadin Heals facts! I agree so much. I wouldn’t ruin my voice for one note

      @AjieA@AjieA5 жыл бұрын
    • Lies lies lies, this “damage” didn’t exist until 2013 when Ariana grande debuted whistling and then people thought she’d loose her vocal abilities as Mariah had. Are voices aren’t weak and they aren’t made to be wrapped in bubblewrap, we start using our vocals the day we’re born and as the years go on they strengthen just like any muscle.. just like Aging as people get older you can loose muscle/it weakens as your body is no longer sustaining itself as well.. that’s when vocals weaken (hence why old people have croaky voices) a 25 year old singer isn’t going to damage their voice, their designed to sustain and withhold a lot. But when that singer starts to get old (like 80) their voice will start croaking and will be weakened, but that’s not from singing that’s just your body slowing down. Also the more you use the muscles (vocal chords are muscle) they strengthen, if your 80 and have been singing all your life your vocals will be better then someone who hasn’t (singing wise anyway) just like how there’s some old people who are very fit, they’ve been working out all their life so their body is used to tearing of the muscle and hence healthy people who work out well & eat well live usually longer and can still sustain their muscles.

      @Isa-cr7fd@Isa-cr7fd5 жыл бұрын
    • You don’t see a bodybuilder and go “if they keep working out their muscles will go away” you would think the opposite. A singers the exact same, work on your vocals, strengthen your vocals, use the vocals and they will become stronger. In order to strengthen your vocal chords you must stress them to an extent, if you stress them too much your voice will just cut off and you will just have air come out, if you stress them constantly all day long you will have a croaky voice but our body is very sustainable and will fix the muscle, usually by the day after and your voice will be fine. EXACTLY the same as working out Too much stress on muscle = sore the next day, the day after you’ll be feeling a lot better Strengthening the muscles = muscles grow and become stronger and you can lift more/do more without getting tired. Basically a good performer has a healthy voice, strong body and has lots of endurance to perform choreography for 2-3 hours straight. The secret to being a good singer and performer is all down to muscle.

    • A K no not true I am 36 I have been training in Opera for most of my life... people have destroyed their vocal cords needed surgery and it has cause damage over time... I have always been warned and have had to go through recovery for my vocal chords being pushed too hard. They are not typical muscles they are bands of muscles tissue... they don’t build up break down to build up again. They can be overstretched flattened too much ripped and get tumors and Polyps. Your vocal cords can be destroyed by smoking drinking alcohol And numerous of other outside sources. And you can literally go on Mayo clinic And see many different causes of injuries to your Vocal cords.
