Yes everyone knows that no one can beat the original, but the fact that these people can reach a note like that for that duration is absolutely incredible and takes a lot to do
Exactly I hate the comments “Nobody did it as good as the original” Like can we just still appreciate how good these people did
For real though! Like of course no one can top the original, but we are not gonna use that excuse to gloss over the fact that these people are hitting these crazy notes.
Exactly
I heard in a video of Celine that her voice went high than the F5 and had to come down, yes these ladies can hit the note but no higher her the celine
I think Morissette Amon did it the best. Even compared to original.
Celine's ressonance is increbible and unique.

If she's the one I'm thinking of, some songs aren't meant to sing with a lot of vibrato. Covering them means to get the feeling of the artist you have to adjust the amount of vibrato you use, it's not opera. Just one person's opinion (given from instructors). Wonderful voice though.
I was just here for Perrie and WOW she nailed it!!

Exactly!!!
This should be pinned as top comment. This is exactly the purpose of this video!
The original wasn’t by Celine Dion.
The original? Eric Carmen released it in 1975. The verse was even based on classical music: the second movement of Sergei Rachmaninoff's circa 1900-1901 Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Opus 18. Here's Eric Carmen live: kzhead.info/sun/nLtxcsuvqIV8h4E/bejne.html
People who doesn´t know about music or has a shitty perspective about it, thinks that just because you can hit certain note, you are automatically a good singer. Just like guitarist when they think playing fast is being a good guitarist or have musicality, when has nothing to do with it. Basically Celine has something to say with that note, and the other are just copying, so achievement? sure I gues, but they are just copying and using that note as self validation when nobody gives a fuck, everybody wants to hear the original because it has way more meaning. Not to mention this video and channel also contributes with that shitty mindset of looking at music as a way of competition instead of a way of expressing yourself using the techniques and vocabulary that you feel natural for you.
The Philippine singers just wow.... All of them. Just envy, that's what I feel. Damn their voices.

There may be perfecter notes than Celine’s but Celine’s is perfectly imperfect. Please pay attention to how everyone else is so focused on hitting the note while Celine is emoting it. We all know she can hit a note with perfect clarity. I actually hate that F5 when that rasp Celine adds is missing.
Agreed. It becomes flat, cold, and harsh. The opposite of passionate.
Yeah🤨I noticed that raspy strain at the ending belt
U can feel the pain of the song in her voice
3:12 Jeninne didn’t even do the lead into it just jumped right up there. Props
Shes snapped. One of my favourites
The problem with most of these covers is that these beautiful songs become nothing but a race to get to the high notes. You can't really put your finger on it but for some reason they leave you cold. That's because these singers possess all of the dramatics yet the most important ingredient is missing and that is the intense emotion that the original artist had. Listen to Celine and you can hear the pain and struggle in her voice. Part of it is her actually struggling to sing the note because they raised the key when she came to studio that day but it makes it perfect because that's what the song is all about, especially that part lyrically and climax wise. The producer did this on purpose, of course, to bring that emotion out of the artist and Celine delivered. So, yes, while it is very impressive that you can sing that note in the original key, have perfect pitch and not strain because your breath support is flawless, you are missing the point. Since you have the technique down and you know it, how about you use it to make the right artistic choices and honour the integrity of the song? Leave your ego to your practice sessions and sing for the song or just don't touch it. Sorry, I don't mean to be salty. Most of these singers are very talented but it is a great pet peeve of mine when singers sing songs by Mariah, Whitney or Celine and they think that just by nailing the high notes they possess the magic that the vocal trinity had/have. See, none of the members of the trinity are concerned with the high notes, they are concerned with the songs themselves and the stories they tell, especially Mariah who writes her material.
I beg to disagree with your claim. The reason why celine ended up with a straining sound while is because it was done INTENTIONALLY, it was decided to make it sound straining to fully emphasis on the emotion that the singer (which is Celine) wants to tell us listeners. Try to fully understand the lyrics. It totally tells about longing, sadness, despair and desperation (Don't want to live all by myself anymore) Sustained f5 is already hard, how much more adding strain to it. Singers can practice till they perfect the f5 note, but none of them dared to include the straining sound,(because it's vocally tasking). Celine can actually do this in a very clean and Crystal clear way but then that will remove her own touch to it, which separates her from others who managed to attempt it.
If you don't agree with me, how about you listen to her other songs. Specifically THINK TWICE and WITH THIS TEARS. Both of which possess a straining sound at its climax. Think twice, if you try to understand the lyrics, tells us about a woman, wanting her lover to stop and think twice before leaving. To simply put it, it's a song about breaking up between two lovers, but with the woman still holding on, hence why the peak lyrics are BABYYYYYYY NO! NO! NO! NO! with straining sound to it. It gives us the feeling with the straining added to it, that the woman is extremely desperate and a bit of anguish and anger mixed into it. Same thing with her song WITH THIS TEARS, as the title suggest, is about a sorrowful song about longing to be touched. Now for their similarities With this tears All by myself Think twice Are songs that expresses Desperation, sorrow and pain! Without the straining touch to it, it wouldn't be as impactful as it is when you listen to it all the time
True
You can clearly hear they are afraid to bend slowly to the f5, that gives power to the moment, Celine does that very slowly and that slow transition is what make it sow iconic

Well, she's a musical singer after almost 20 years of stage presence. Also played the role of elphaba for over 7 years, which is a very hard role. Belting at the edge of your voice 8 times a week for 7 years is probably hard for your vocal cords^^
the eb5 at the end is so pretty in my opinion its the best one
I think it depends on the technique. A full chest sustained F5 is way harder than a more heady/mixed F5. And ofc it doesn't sound the same.
