  • Some of these are clear examples of how exhaustion and stress can affect a singers voice cause we know like Ari and Perrie in the right conditions can hit those notes with their eyes closed

    • @@malibupromqueen what are nodules? (sorry that I'm uneducated.)

      @TristanChiappetta@TristanChiappetta4 жыл бұрын
    • Tristan Chiappetta Vocal nodules are hard, rough, noncancerous growths on your vocal cords. They can be as small as a pinhead or as large as a pea. You get nodules from straining or overusing your voice, especially from singing, yelling, or talking loudly or for a long period of time. Also, not everyone knows what nodules are, so you're fine lol

      @malibupromqueen@malibupromqueen4 жыл бұрын
    • I think she can still hit those prime notes if she rests her voice properly and stop consuming alcohol

      @gurpalsingh946@gurpalsingh9464 жыл бұрын
    • @@malibupromqueen she had them since she was a child and it has worsened with the years, her unhealthy lifestyle (drinking) + being overworked + her nodules = a mess She's better now tho, she isn't in her prime anything, atill has nodules and damage but still manages to keep singing, she needs more rest than a normal singer but can still sounds awesome Ah, she also has to lipsync some parts and can't go for all the notes even if ahe can because her voice might get more damaged, her doctor told her that she can't keep hitting all the high notes if she wants to sing for the rest of her life

  • The problem here is that people are being triggerred - and feel like these artists are not talented because they're dodging notes, or falling flat - the thing is, they are falling flat or dodging not because of lack of talent, but because of lack of technique. Anyone here who sings can tell you - the more you force yourself into hitting the high note, the more likely it'll be strained. Relax into it, and it'll be easier - maybe not perfect - but it will rapidly improve. I can falsetto all the way up to an A5 - no reason these singers can't mix all the way to a G#5, other than poor training. Singing across your entire range is difficult.

    • Generally speaking an artist will have recorded the studio version after at least 6 months of rest post-tour from the previous album promotion, so their vocals have had plenty of rest and can therefore be pushed harder and higher. However once they've done the promotion for the new music, which is hundreds of shows, tv appearances and just talking in general, it's harder to reach those peak moments they hit in the studio with ease. Also as someone commented above, age has a lot to do with vocal ability. We just have to look at Mariah as a perfect example of a woman who had an amazing voice in her prime but as she's aged her voice just can't get there now, which is okay, it's only natural! Our bodies age, so it's only fitting our voices she too.

    • Ary Equestrian singers will always have pitch issues, straining of the throats so it isn't a sign of bad singing, I think she just strains a lot, not ill. Still think she's awesome though.

    • No she wasn't, at the beginning of little mix, they used to preform Change your life a lot, and then Perrie got a cirurgy in her throat, that's why her voice changing a lot, and on the Get wierd tour she was already tired, all of them, they need some vocals rest.

  • Usually singers dodge high notes because of vocal stress and exhaustion either from they are getting sick or just plain tired or are saving there voice for other shows. Doing back to back shows can put a lot of more stress on their vocals.

  • Rule of thumb: don't do anything on the album you're gunna struggle with live

    @phils2005@phils20056 жыл бұрын
    • Phil S it's not a true rule of thumb across the board and that's the problem. With big labels and some smaller ones they push the artists to reach impossible standards but the voice, like any other muscle, will eventually give out. For some it happens early, but others, like Mariah, it took longer but in the end it will happen. It all depends on how much they were mistreating their voice in the first place.

      @michaelDcrawfordjr@michaelDcrawfordjr6 жыл бұрын
    • Michael Crawford Yes time and age does have an effect on the vocal cord. But, still. I'm just simply stating the obvious. As a fan of these singers and musical artists, it's almost cringe worthy hearing them live.

      @phils2005@phils20056 жыл бұрын
    • I wouldn't say that. People should just know at a live show it is really hard to hit notes period. You are really not in the environment to do so. It's too loud, even with in-ears in, you'll never be able to hear yourself as well as you can in a studio recording. Studio is meant to be perfected, and you get to retry so that it's perfect. Also you're not moving around and getting out of breath like in a live performance. People just shouldn't expect so much out of a live performance because tbh the chances of it being perfect vocally are very slim.

      @sinanicolay@sinanicolay6 жыл бұрын
    • In the first clip she lip synced. You can clearly hear it if you put the studio version vs that clip version. Not saying she's bad, but in the other 2 Get weird clips you can clearly hear the strain, whereas in the first clip she did not have any strain at all.
