Under pressure(ft. the enigmatic David Bowie R.I.P), break free, somebody to love, radio gaga, bicycle, fat bottom girls, who wants to live forever, and of course probably the most popular top 3(possibly 4) queen hits another one bites the dust, we will rock you (not sure if these 2 are considered the same song or not) we are the champions, and last but CERTAINLY not least Bahamian rhapsody. Songs that will transcend time. The fact that my 15 year old daughter hums Under Pressure at school and corrects the idiotic kids that make fun of her singing Ice Ice Baby she very calmly explains to the kids how a wannabe white rapper (remember the 90s? 😕)stole the music from Queen and David Bowie's single Under Pressure to have a song worth releasing. Even if he hadn't stolen the music (which he did, got sued, and lost 4 million$ full disclosure I'm not 100% sure on the actual amount awarded but I am 100% sure he lost his a** in that case😁) he should have been prosecuted for taking a HELL OF A DAMN GOOD SONG and murdering it into some ridiculous attempt to appear talented. Freddie and David currently have more talent in their left pinky nails than that poser did in his whole body during his entire life and for those living under a rock for the last 3 decades both Freddie Mercury AND David Bowie past away and they STILL have more talent than that thief. 😠

@@amadnakateh I had a few years of music/band classes and later marching and concert band in my formative years. I remember when I first heard vanilla ices version I distinctly recall thinking to myself that there was only like a one Note difference in the chorus. Although in the interest of full disclosure I haven't actually listened too Rice Rice Gravey (sorry couldn't resist 😈) since like 1992/3. On the other hand I think I've listened to Under Pressure easily over 1000 in that time frame. All the kids in our H.S marching band that knew who Queen was got really heated about the whole thing. I just wondered if he outright knowingly stole it, or if MAYBE, just maybe U.P might have been played by his parents at a VERY young age. Perhaps he was only exposed to the song a couple of times then maybe he never heard it again. But that music can find a way to become a distant memory, almost seeming like a memory of dream from many years ago. That melody can surface at different and random times in our lives. What if (obvi it's PROBABLY not what happened with Vanilla) a person walks through life for 35-40 years humming a simple 4 or 5 bars truly believing that music to be an original production of their own mind? When in fact it's a song their daddy played just a couple times when he was 3 years old. Just makes ya wonder doesn't it? Well it Damn sure makes me wonder knowing what our brains are capable of and especially NOT knowing what our brains are capable of. 👀

I prefer the Rufus Wainwright cover. His take on the song covers my heart with such sadness that I can truly feel the heartbreak. It doesn't hurt that it's the same version as sung in Shrek. Some feelings you just can't replicate even if it's the same thing..
I just commented on this yesterday to my husband when I played the song. I think those notes would damage most of peoples’ vocals if they attempted it. I feel overall, Pentatonix doesn’t get enough recognition outside of Christmas time.
Re: Bohemian Rhapsody. The difficulty does not slow any of us down in giving it a go in public with all that it means. Which is part of why it is an amazing song.

Yes, but its still quite easy to sing. The whistle is more challenging if a person can't do it, obviously, but its still a fairly easy song to belt out.
@@Jzhwa Its more than kinda fast. But the points to rest are in between the first chorus and beginning of the second verse, the second chorus and bridge and the softer ad libs in the bridge itself before the chorus starts up again for the third / last time (prior to the whistles at the end).
Its not even her hardest song. IMO, Fly like a bird or lead the way are way harder than emotions.
I am kind of shocked Guns 'N' Roses did not get an honorable mention. Not just because no one can replicate Axl Rose's voice without severe voice box damage.

I forgot who received this particular music award but the song received an award from The Royal Society Of Cremetory Science for being the most requested tune for a body being sent into the cremetory furnise in the UK.
I did a decent version of Dolly's arrangement of the song in a studio, but I'm a mezzo so had to change the key.
Dolly has always joked that Whitney could keep the song as long as the money kept rolling in.

“The Show Must Go On” is my absolute favourite Queen song. It’s even more incredible when you realize how sick Freddie Mercury was when he recorded it and he did it in a single take!
He nailed the chorus in one take but he didn't do the whole thing in one. Brian May cleared that up a while ago. His original comments were misunderstood. Still, as deathly ill as Freddie was, what he managed to produce was second to none.

Yeah, when I first heard her singing it I thought "What a amazing job " no mistakes at all. Then found out she didn't perform it at all ! Unlike everybody else Whitney performed hers in the studio 🎙 then lip synced her version at the Superball. This after selling over $1 million copies on CD. ABSOLUTELY. Separate ways world's apart and there's another Steve Perry song that blows my mind when I REALLY listen to the vocals. Damn I can't remember what song it is but it's ABSOLUTELY Steve with journey. And while ultimately he can't ever be replicated or replaced they came about as close as humanly possible when they brought in that other guy.

Emily West delivered a stunning jazz cover of Sia's CHANDELIER on AGT. Kevin Simm also did great male cover on the voice. Serena Onassis was amazing with her rendition of O Holy Night, she finds no difficulty with delivering perfect whistle notes. Most of the songs chosen in this video are about high notes. I think the most difficult songs are the ones that require a wide range of notes and the transition between them.
Being a very disciplined variety singer since toddler age, I’ve actually been blessed to pull off most of these tunes successfully & enjoyed getting the crowds going at many a gig, in later yrs 🥰 It has been a privilege to sing at many people’s ‘special day’ events, to top theme park groups , to world traveling & still honored to perform the National Anthem for worthy causes I’m currently involved in. Thnx so much 4 sharing this fun post!

When my son was in middle school, he surprised me by saying he was going to enter a talent show at school and was going to sing. I didn't even know he could sing. He picked the Earth song. And when he went into to sing in front of 4 judges, the CD did not work and he had to sing it acapella!! He did amazing but I can see why that was once of the hardest songs.

Brad Delp of Boston sang some unbelievable high notes, G5s can be found in “Mean Woman Blues”, “More Than a Feeling”, and “Smokin’". He had a very wide range though, too. He should be on this list.
Ok...I've watched you for years and have NEVER called you out. But you brought Dimash into it, that arrangement of Sinful Passion could NOT be song by anyone but Dimash, not even close. He starts the song in a basement baritone from a whisper to power, does his operatic falsetto finishing with a whistle ala Mariah. Then proceeds to do a style I have yet to see a western singer even try as he moves up his range again and then does an acrobatic run up and down the scales in a 3 octave range on one 30 sec breath to finish. To anyone that has not heard Dimash listen to this song and SOS I promise your mind will be blown. He is by far the best singer/performer in the world now and he's only 26. Also he's an incredible human being not an egotistical bone in his body. He is a once in generations talent and I'm not easily amused.

My favourite is Total Eclipse Of The Heart. There's just something amazing about Bonnie Tyler's husky voice. That song is like rock, pop & soul combined together. Everything about it is just perfect👌
Not many people now know why her voice is the way it is. She had polyps on her vocal cords and had to have surgery to remove them. She couldn't speak or whisper or use her voice at all for 6 months afterward. When she could finally sing again, her voice came back as the husky, rough voice we all know and love today. I don't even remember what her voice sounded like before the polyps. Her big hits came after them.

I’m trying to build up the content, then blast it out to contacts on various social media sites. I don’t see people putting out the content that I have, which is years of knowledge in property management. I’m going to do classes on multiple subjects with hoas and condos, then get some guests to come one, I know a lot of experts in various fields

Her songs are low and I am a mezzo-soprano so her songs are hard. However, majority of these songs I can at least do but really depending if you want to be accurate, but if you are just doing karaoke I think anyone can sing these songs with ease lol.

One of the things I love about The Voice is that it introduced me to big songs. I remember Tessanne Chen holding that note while performing Bridge Over Troubled Water...can't count the number of times I've watched that video. Check it out! The list is incredible, but I think Boston's More Than A Feeling could have made the list, and Never Enough from Th Greatest Showman.

Practically this entire list could've been made up of Celine, Mariah, Whitney, and Queen songs, because forget hard songs, those are all hard artists to attempt for anyone who doesn't have musical training
Idk, Nightwish has some very difficult songs and so does Evanescence and Halestorm. Freak like Me by Halestorm is incredibly difficult to do without damaging your voice and the lead singer does it almost perfectly every time.

Very great selection. Now I go back to listen to some of them. On the rock singers with high pitch voices: it's also a specific recording technique which helps to get the crazy power into the sound. Most of them don't always perform these parts live although they are absolute top class singers! As a man I have to say the A-ha song take on me is probably the hardest one as it's sung sooo cleanly by him and you need a reeeeally long breath to perform it. Try it!.

"Crazy On You" is extremely tough, but so are a fair number of other Heart songs. Heart is my favorite band, but I never sing any of their songs at karaoke, unless it's a cover of somebody else whose songs I can sing. Ann Wilson is amazing!

Dolly's original version -a single in the early 70s of I will always love you, recorded when she was younger, is the most difficult in range of notes, plus the sweetest most heart breaking song of my lifetime.

“More Than A Feeling” by Boston - it’s ABSOLUTE criminal that Brad Delp’s thoroughly supernatural singing performance isn’t on this list.
I think the older performances are much more incredible. Take the Righteous Brothers performance for instance, that was live, one take, in front of millions on tv and his mother in the audience. Pure raw talent. He killed it.

"The Diva Dance" from the fifth element movie. Its not just the highs, its the lows that most sopranos cant hit and the fast pace octave changes.

I used to be in a cover band and I sang three Journey songs: Separate Ways, Lovin,' Touchin,' & Squeezin,' and Who's Crying Now. I had to be in top form to pull them off. I always loved Don't Stop Believin,' but I couldn't quite manage it. I would have to lower the keys 25 years later to do anything Steve Perry. What an amazing voice!
The most difficult song I personally have ever heard is Dimash's (the guy you have only in the honorable mentions for whatever reason) 6 octave version (F#1 - F#7) of the Diva Dance (that mixes (both chest and head) classical bel canto singing with several different contemporary genres, ranging from pop to metal techniques)

Jolene is difficult to sing. There is so much emotion in the song most people can't nail it.
It isn't just that. Dolly's voice is so unique and beautiful. Others sing it but Dolly owns it. Even when Reba sings it well, it is still just Dolly's version I want to hear.

Doggone! Every song that I love to sing along with! Plus a few. I can sing all but the last note of Ah-ha's "Take on Me" in two octaves.
Paradise by the Dashboard Lights ( greatest duet ever ) and Hot Patootie Bless My Soul ( Rocky Horror ) by Meat Loaf combine vocal speed, clarity and tone that i think few can truely duplicate. Also would add Pisces by Jinjer as honorable mention for being able to go from melodic vocals to deep growling vocals and back without a hitch.
