    • Typically thrusts would be used in actual fights, but there were also no standards. Every knight would be wearing different armor, and they had to think quick as to whether or not a poke or a bludgeon would be the best course of action. Some probably ended within seconds, while others could have carried on until they pass out from exhaustion

      @cybersplash4262@cybersplash42622 жыл бұрын
    • Also don’t believe these swords are anything close to sharp, so something that might have ended it very quickly won’t here

      @zackwright9901@zackwright99012 жыл бұрын
    • @@cybersplash4262 in armored combat most would knock an enemy on the ground so they would either surrender or be stabbed by halfswording or a dagger or punched to death with a hammer or mace. Yes stabbing was the main way to kill en but a skilled knight knew how to block those moves since there are only a few weak spots so the enemy had to tackle them where they could use that advantage to kill em.

At 14 the instructor would *always* pick on me and bruise me, he would never allow me to spar people my own age and would instruct me to spar people way older than myself and it was scary, intimidating and demoralising when you get beat up practically every lesson and told I'm not allowed to use strength and if I did I'd be the class punching bag.... I swear it's like he enjoyed watching me get beat up, I felt sick going sometimes knowing what to expect but didn't want to let Dad down by giving up something.. I'd be matched with 22-30yr old+ and it was horrible. I did weigh 147kg and brawn though so I was very heavy but dude... He'd get his son to kick me whilst I stood there and I had to take it and after a few he'd change it up so I couldn't kick him back etc... I'm older now and man I wish I could relive those moments to just say what I was thinking instead of accepting all that abuse because I was too soft to speak up. Sorry for long reply, them words MMA and Jujitsu don't bring me good memories sadly.

  • One question ¿it is allowed to use a sword as a pickaxe like weapon by hitting your enemy with the guard and crabbing the sword from the leaf in this sport? ¿or is forbidden for the security of fighters? I just knew about this fighting tecnic in a medieval fighting manual at internet so i have my doubts

Or the infamous 'a shield across the face' yet sadly we never got to see the hopeful yet all known devastating 'spinning sword strike'
