You can tell how much size mattered in medieval combat. One huge guy can make a big difference.

- While size did help a lot in medieval combat, it wasn't the whole story, it was less important than what you see in these tournaments. Mainly because speed and technique and fight IQ and stamina are somewhat neglected by the fact they're not using lethal weapons. If you're a big guy you can use more blunt force, but you also gas out a lot faster, which is very dangerous in medieval combat and could prove to be your downfall. Also, their fighting formation is different from what you'd see on a medieval battlefield, even if you account for the smaller numbers.

- Yeah, especially when nobody on the field really has the skill to counteract big size differences. I'm sure these guys train physically and do a bit of sparing, but they all have jobs outside of this. You'd need to be a full fledged knight to have the competence needed to take someone much bigger than you without a sizeable amount of luck

Il dois fair 30degret sous un casque en métal de 1/2 kilo plus un protège en cuire et une armure de 30/40kilo et il cour dans du sable ! Sa montre leur puissance physique et leur détermination aux combat il recule devant rien et se bas dans la souffrances le sang et la sueur, j'ai beaucoup de respect pour ces hommes!
