    • I'm just worried about CPU utilization and frame times. REDengine has amazing CPU utilization and hardly stutters, UE5 needs to improve in that respect. I think it'll turn out great though, I'm excited to see 2077's sequel, I'm assuming it'll incorporate more features due to the flexibility of UE5 streamlining the dev process and make things like multiplayer easier to achieve. All in all, I think it's gonna be a change for the better.

Regardless of the Z plane of the landscape the water could not affect the landscape correctly. Has this been addressed in 5.4 or does the PCG allow for such customization?

  • If only a game could be used as a bench test for Unreal Engine. A PVP game of sorts maybe. Something with a wide array of weapons you could apply visual effects to and a range of existing characters for much of the same. It could showcase ''''''Unreal'''''' graphics, and be used in '''''''Tournaments''''''''. Sadly we'll never know of such an 'unreal' game with 'tournaments' of such quality. Heck you wouldn't even have to have 'tournaments' and just keep the '''''Unreal''''' part. Man if only there were a preestablished underlining franchise that didn't require rebranding the engine at all because of the name. If only.
