Battlefield 2042's Season 7 arrives in March, and we have our first look at one of the new maps, believed to be set in Chile near the Atacama Desert. The DLC expansion will include at least two maps, plus there are some other improvements coming in new updates.

My question is why the hell do the devs think we live in Jungles in Chile???, Valparaiso for example looks nothing like that IRL, its just a dry coastal city like, we barely even have palm trees which are shorter Chilean palmas compared to caribbean ones
It may just be taking some artistic liberties in the map design to create a more visually interesting. It could also be to add more cover around, or maybe it’s just a matter of the game being set in the future, so it’s possible some cities could be overgrown with fauna.

Despite the vegitation, this spot doesnt exist in real life anyway. At least i couldnt find anything even close.
A proper server browser would be nice to have. I don't understand why Dice took the direction it did with throwing everyone back into the mix after every round.
I think it's annoying there's no map rotation. You're telling me I have to go BACK to the main menu and wait to find a server? Why not just keep everyone together and jump into the next map.

Lost all rivalry against enemy because of it. All older bf’s you would end up battling against same players for hours.
I have a theory, I think DICE has chosen this location of Bad Company 2 for a purpose. I think they are teasing us on the Next Battlefield game like a Bad Company 3.

I have to admit im a little disappointed it’s not the same Atacama Desert. That map in BC2 is where I really cut my teeth in BF open map combat. And it’s where my love affair with the AKU-74k started. And it’s also where I sort of learned vehicle gameplay. Hopefully this new map can spark some old emotions of maps long lost. Looking forward to the update!

Untrue. The last good naval map was in BF1 p.s But yes, like wtf.. battlefield is supposed to be land, air and SEA.. that’s one of the most disappointing things about 2042 for me. The lack of naval combat.
@@caprise-music6722even the air combat is very lackluster. Back when we had an actual attacker aircrafts with broken jdams, a2g missiles and ACTUAL BOMBERS in some maps makes me miss BF4 even more and more
Here's the thing. Even if San Pedro de atacama is not a 1:1 replica of the actual town. It does look very similar. Towns that are deep in the desert look very much like this. So I'm glad DICE got very close to an actual chilean settlement :D

Mostly working on shorts. Battlefield 2042 destroyed the entire series' viewership on KZhead. Very little reason for me to produce anything covering Battlefield 2042 as it results in minimal views. Sucks.

persistant servers are to keep the server running i believe whether the host is online or not ! something that should of been there day 1 but it is what it is .

No matter how much they add to this game… the system itself is just bad. Gunplay overall feels like im shooting plastic lasers. Why add factions like Usa and russia when its all just specialists with the same uniforms no matter the team.

Because USA and Russia won't fight each other directly. 2042 is the second cold war, so they use PMCs/mercenaries

Pan-Asian Coalition shows up in Final Stand BF4, such as in Hangar 21. Final Stand takes place in 2042 approximately, and was the original vision of the 2042 universe by the old studio.
Final Stand actually take place in 2024. Ten years after the events of BF4. 18 years before the events of BF2042.
