They were side by side for the most part. Both of these should top out in the 160-170mph range. Theyre just having fun. You dont sacrifice safety just to get ahead of someone. With other boats out there all over the place its hard to top out sometimes. He pulled away from him several times

They're all nice boats but there's just something about a Skater that stands out in the crowd. Mainly the 388 Skater with the 1350's . Some kind of crazy fast indeed about 180 I believe.

Was not a faster boat that day he had run down the v bottom outer limits a couple times...sago knew he didn't have enuf speed was counting on rough water....

@@jessehuebsch109 I never met Joe personally but my father, Gene Weeks Sr, worked for Fountain, Baja, Donzi and Outerlimits. He was in tight with the Fiores and Joe. Pops says that Joe was really good man. All the good offshore racing legends keep falling away. It sucks.
