I'm happy to see that you have a running engine! As you noted, rings will be needed to eliminate oil consumption. Two elements of your restoration videos that are admirable are your use of NOS Briggs parts that must be rather expensive, especially after shipping fees, and background noises (birds chirping etc). 23:37 you can also use a little bit of naphtha. Tho i wouldn't do this inside an enclosed space as that stuff is naaasty. The risk is well worth it, it dissolves any grime very fast and very well. Whenever i do maintenance on my bike, i take out the engine, and chuck basically everything else that's not rubber or fuel weak plastic in there and they come out clean as new. It does leave a white residue, but some water and a little bit of dish soap cleans it fast.
