    • Most of the civilizations out there. Already do look at us that way. They look at us the entire human race, the way we look at Middle Eastern terrorists. They consider us primitive barbaric and violent. Because they are so advanced. They are thousands of years ahead of us. However. Most of them are friendly and protective of us. And want to help us survive and evolve. So we can join the community. They are waiting for us. God bless them. Amen.

  • Great video! I’ve often wondered if the development of Nuclear Fusion, closer to 2035, would qualify us as a type 1 civilization? The sun creates energy using Nuclear Fusion and we would be harnessing that same type of power just in a smaller scale.

    • We already are a civ type 1. The problem is the theory doesn't account for efficiency. Our transistors need 10,000 less power then back in the day, and generally as technology progresses our efficiency increases meaning we need less and less energy to output equal or more work. Your iPhone 14 has 3x the battery life of iphone 3 while being 24x times more powerful. So technically we already are a type 1 civilization it's just we keep getting better and better at energy conservation

    • type 1 is 100% efficient use of home planet's resources ; we are not there yet ; type 2 is 100% use of home star's energy output ; type 3 obvs 100% of an entire galaxy's energy/resource output ; these are basically unfathomable amounts of energy by modern understanding ; only post-AI transhuman civilizations will ever be able to reach type 2 [and likely before we hit full type 1 realistically atm] ; type 3+ is so far out there that type 4-7 are basically gods in comparison its just like tiers of godhood at that point ; like type 7 [all-god/brahman] , type 6 [mono-theism god] , type 5 [apex polytheism god] , type 4 [clarketech deity, god emperor leto, etc]

    @graydon78@graydon78 Жыл бұрын
    • One reason that is not possible is that life forms change over time due to evolution. Think of how different from us our ancestors were 100 million years in the past. 100 million years from now if we do not go extinct we will change so much through evolution that we won't be what is NOW called "human" anymore. Because a SPECIES changes too much its impossible for a "civilization" to last that long.

  • As fascinating as the Kardashev scale idea is, there's a few questionable things about it, such as an advanced civilization building object's as large as the Dyson sphere, logic would suggest that the more advanced the technology the smaller something needs to be for efficiency, such as the brick phone and now the smart phone. It would be fair to say within a century we will have nuclear fusion, the power of the Sun in our hands, and if we master this there's no need for something like a Dyson sphere. Thanks for the video, you have some very interesting ideas and I appreciate that you mentioned that they are hypothetical 👍

  • The factors mentioned in the video simply points out that things cannot just magically appear from out of nowhere. There has to someone or something behind that caused it. Space is a vast strange place where anything may be possible. Where the laws of science can be bent and be different than what we know at present. Where sometimes even nature can defy scientific logic. Everything that occurs in nature will ALWAYS have a rational cause / explanation. There is something or someone definitely out there.

  • The classification is made on a technological basis. However, industry and technology can also be seen as a method to compensate for missing natural abilities. If one defines progress as a development of the organism towards a state that consumes less and less energy while the quality of life increases, then a completely different classification comes about. From this point of view, the plant is more progressive than the animal, because it is the only living being that draws energy directly from the sun, while all other living beings have to "unstore" their life-sustaining energies from the stored energies that others have collected, i.e. through energy theft mobility that does not exist must be gained through energy conversion from fossil fuels or the unleashing of nuclear energy, instead of the organism increasing mobility through natural development. Communication must be established through technical aids such as telephone, television and lengthy educational and learning processes. Viewed in this way, technology is less advanced than nature. So if we don't become like plants, our organism can never obtain its life-sustaining energy directly from solar energy and we need more and more technology and technical conversion processes to ensure our existence. Man in particular is a scarce creature that cannot survive without other people, without cooperation and without technical aids and must constantly acquire additional crutches, i.e. a civilization that is progressing backwards in terms of development and is becoming more and more dependent on all these aids. Well-being and health are produced by more pills and medicine and a lack of happiness is compensated for by alcohol and drugs. Human history is a complete dis-developmental history that obviously cannot be corrected sufficiently.

But when we zoom in with our telescopes such as hubble or james web, and see a galaxy in its full glory, could this be the actual present time the same as us? And why would it be the past then? Wich way do we have to look in any direction to see the past or future, only the light is the past. Questions, questions. The universe is a fascinating phenomena.

One where organic life forms reach a level of scientific development and they develope a robotic, artificial intelligence that eliminates the "virus" of organic life. Then this AI civilization continues to develope, expand and destroy organic life forms wherever they encounter them. This could explain the apparent empty galaxy of superior alien life...they either destroyed themselves through war, depleted resources or were destroyed by their own AI creations. We do not want to encounter a malevolent, AI civilization. (I know...sounds like a StarTrek episode!)

  • The universe is huge, it is not possible that we are alone. We are not ! There would be countless other planets sustaining life. But i have a question, if there other advance civilisations exists and they would definitely be having some great technology, Like spacecraft or travelling through warm holes. Why dont they show up or visit us. To discover life on other planet.

  • Wait, wait, wait, hold on!!! You said that humans have a 0.72 civilization, just short of a type one civilization. If the earth was a type one civilization, the way most researchers think, and we could harvest the entire earth’s energy output, then we would live on a type of Star Trek Borg sphere. So technically speaking, since we are already past the 0.50 threshold, we are already type one civilization. that is why we have so many environmental problems is because we are past the 0.50 threshold and we have a earth that is out of balance. • can you explain why a planet with the size of the sun would not be possible ? if it were a gas giant then indeed it would be a star but if it were a rocky earth like planet but then *10 in size there is no known physics that makes a supersized earth impossible

  • Dude I can't believe this. However last year I dreamt I was dead and woke in a Dyson Sphere, and in 2007 I dreamt I was on the moon and there were people there

  • According to research I have done. Cygnus, lyra, and Draco. Or at least allegedly inhabited by intelligent advanced extraterrestrial civilizations.
