Russia has reacted with fury and has warned more in Ukraine will die after the US House of Representatives passed a military aid package worth more than $60 billion.

It came after months of stalling, as some Republicans tried to block more aid saying it was time for America to draw back from what they call international interventions.
We spoke to the Ukrainian MP Lesia Vasylenko.

Are you combining European money into this? Because the US has sent no where near 200 billion dollars to Ukraine. They have sent 75 billion so far and much of that was not for the military, but was humanitarian aid and to prop up the Ukraine financial structure. Relatively speaking Ukraine is around 1.5% of American spending and most of that money will find its way back into America via jobs. It might actually work to be able to pretend that Ukraine is winning till November 2024 elections, just like US was winning in Afghanistan from 2001 till 2021, even 3 days before Americans left Joe Biden promised president that they will keep defending them and everything will be ok. President of Afghanistan probably heard something and got worries and started packing his things to be ready to fly out, I think same thing already happening in Ukraine.

200 billion wasn't enough. 61 billion won't be enough this time. 100 billion won't be enough in a few months from now. They will always need more. The US has now spent 19.2% of its 2023 Defense Budget on Ukraine. The Total spent to date including the EU should be somewhere north of USD 280 billion and Russia is still conquering territory. It seems there is a lot of spending needed in Ukraine. May be another package of 400 billion should be sent to Ukraine and see if it may make a difference. All of this in the name of NATO expansion?
They've already helped us expand, we no longer need Ukraine the way we did before. We're close enough to Russia now. Having Ukraine too would be nice, but they're no longer worth the investment now that we've got what we want. Ukraine are big boys, they know what they signed up for... Well they should have anyway.
